3.4(375ml bottle) 2012 version. Lasting frothy pink head atop a red, non-carbonated body. Nice sourness, somewhat vinegar and club soda. Cherries through the finish. Good and thirst quenching.
4.3Sample at a bottle share. Deep pink, nearly red pour, pink head. Nose is just fleshy raspberry forever, with maybe a little vanilla from the oak creeping in. Taste is a little acetic up front (the Temptation base maybe?), but then it’s all about the raspberries again. Sparkling carbonation, a whiff of almond on the finish. Superb.
3.9Bottle. The pour is a sweet raspberry color. The aroma is a fruit sour bomb. The taste is a smooth sour, better than most.
3.8bottle shared by tom10101, thanks! pours hazy light and beautiful pink without a head. raspberry (duh), fresh ones, perceptible citric on first whiff, bit of herbs, lactic, but again mostly citric, cranberry-like, some cheesy notes, faint yeastiness - in which aspect temptation shined, but it seems overshadowed here. low to flat carbonation, light body, medium acidity. very nice but not nearly as outstanding as temptation..
3.9Bottle 375ml.
Pours pink/dark salmon with no head. Aroma is of raspberries, fruits, cherries, stinging acidity. Taste is of sourness, acid, raspberries, fruits, some acetic. Palate: Light body. Overall: Very acid/sour; too much to be an outstanding beer. Still very good.
4.1Bottle. Reddish pour with a white head. Lots of sweet raspberry, not overly tart. Shared by Jazzz - da man!
4.0Bottle (375 ml). 2011 vintage. Thanks to Levi for this one! Bright dark salmon with no head and no lacing. Strong aroma of fresh raspberries (both sour + sweet) along with acidic and acetic notes and light malt presence. Taste is moderately sour with, again, a lot of fresh and sour raspberries. The acetic aspect is a little more (a tad too much) present along with light malt and wood. Light to medium body. Low carbonation. Moderately dry. Mouth puckering. Very good raspberry Sour! Intensely fruity (especially the aroma). A tad too acetic and could use a little more complexity, especially considering that the base beer (Temptation) is so complex.
4.02012 Vintage : Pour is raspberry in hue, with a fine bubbled pink head in this glass - it eventually rings the glass, with some light lacing present here ; the nose is soft - raspberry juice, grassy hops, and light barrel treatment here; the flavor profile is initial modest in nature ; more grass, raspberry juice, as well as raspberry seed- and it then moves to a stronger souring character with lemon tart and earthen oak - there is a lingering, prickly sourness as well as carbonation at the finale - Thanks Dakine!
4.2thanks to matt for sharing this bottle. Pour is hazy pink, with a thin white head. Nose is fresh & tart, raspberry & barnyard funk. Earthy, gently souring fruit lactic acid with a fruity sweetness. Body is soft with light carbonation. Very mellow and lovely.
4.4Bottle at EBT2 2013. Shared with Mathieu87 and Joris.
APPEARANCE: clear red beer, small unstable white head.
NOSE: raspberries! very very fruity, very fresh, sourness clearly noticeable.
TASTE: sourness very subtle with amazing sweetness, some wood.
AMAZING BEER!
3.82012 bottle shared by madbeerbaron...thanks Ben! - Pours pink with a thin white head. Nose is yogurty raspberry, pretty pungent with a touch of tartness. Taste is pretty fleshy raspberry with tartness and yogurt. Finishes long and lightly tart, with more fruit and a touch of white wine. Soft and well-carbonated.
4.0Bottle shared at Berliner Bash, poured a reddish color with aromas of raspberries, wet wood, and light musk. Flavors were tart raspberries followed by some earthy funk with a touch of wet wood. Pretty amazing beer, thanks to the person who shared this gem.
4.6Pink head, fast gone over beautiful clear red-cyclamen beer. Raspberry². explosion of fresh fruit and vinous, winecasks. This nose is absolutely stunning! Sour raspberries - wild ones, at that, full of fresh flavours and natural acids. Hint at vanillapods (real one, not like from oak). Spritzy, enliveling the superb natural flavours; yet some slickness. This is insanely good. Another winner, Vinnie. Some super-natural, faintly alcoholized Hero-drink... Abject thanks to the donator!
3.7Bottled (Thanks veliempojot). Reddish colour, small white head. Aroma is raspberries, some mild alcohol, quite sweet and mild toffee. Flavour is raspberries, rather tart wood and has a very dry palate to it. Sweet and tart, but not very sour. Stil lextremely dry. Beautiful.
4.1375ml bottle from a trade with Hugonaut13, thanks!
2012 vintage - Pours dark red with a foamy white head. Aroma of tart raspberries, wood, hints of yeast and vinous notes. Taste is tart, sourish and sweet with notes of raspberries, wood, oak, vanilla, vinous notes and yeast. Finish is sour and tart with some raspberries and wood. Another excellent sour ale from Russian River. Well balanced and tasty.
3.8375 ml bottle.
Pours a beautiful ruby colour with a pinkish foamy head. Aroma of strong pungent raspberries and some wood. Flavour of intense tart raspberries, oak, white wine, balsamic vinegar and green apples. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and high carbonation. Finishes tart on raspberries with dry wood and some interesting apple notes. Mouthdrying as well. Rather light bodied and pretty strongly flavoured on the raspberries.
3.937,5 cl bottle vintage 2012 (6,50%) @ home. Thanks tiong!
Aroma has lots of raspberries and quite nothing else. Flavour is rather sour and tart with lots of raspberries, juicy notes, some lactic acid and earthy notes. Nice sourness here.
3.9375 ml bottle.

4.1Bottle. My 100th Sour/Wild Ale rating!. Pours pinkish red with a thin white head. Acidic, funky and tart, with lightly sweet cherries, and earthy and woody notes. ABSURD! Awesome stuff.
3.9375 ml bottle - nose of raspberries, ooak, elderberries and slight barnyard funk. Body is light and crisp, nice sourness and fruity aromas.
4.4Bottle generously shared by Matt at Max’s tasting. Had been hoping for a while to get to try this one, so thanks Matt! Pours a beautiful raspberry amber color with a thin white head. Aroma of tart raspberry seeds, raspberry puree, oak and some light barnyard funkiness. Terrific. Taste is tart and slightly acidic with notes of raspberry jam, seeds, lemons, oak and wood and a great overall funkiness. Soft on the palate and a nice lingering tartness in the finish. Just lovely.
3.9This one poured a bright pink to red color with a pink head. Reminded me of a JW berliner. Aroma was straight raspberry flesh and light seed notes. Not much showing that there will be much acidity here. Flavor was correct, mildly sour, but more like a raspberry fruit beer than a sour. Still pretty good at that.
4.0375 ml bottle shared with the group. Pours a hazy reddish/orange/purple color with a small, but immediately disappearing pink head. The aroma is tart raspberries, lactic acid, touches of vinegar and funk. The flavor is more tart to sour berries, lactic acid, funk, a mild vinegar notes. Prickly carbonation, but very drinkable for being a sour.
4.5#1,000! 375mL bottle pours a glowing reddish/pink with a khaki pinkish head. Aroma mellow raspberry, lactic acid, light funk, with some wood. Wow, semi sweet and tart raspberry, light sourness, some wood one finish and aftertaste. Lovely!
4.0Had this at Where The Wild Beers Are. Pours a deep ruby garnet with a thin pink to white head. Aromas of funky raspberries, and light wood tannins. Medium bodied, funky with a nice acidity and more raspberry jam. Lingering tartness and funk throughout the finish. Lovely.
4.0375 ml bottle to snifter (thanks alexsdad06). Looks good; a semi-transparent raspberry with white lacing. Smells good too; tart and funky with a nice raspberry presence. Tastes like it smells with a nice, lively mouthfeel. Good beer!
4.3Pours out so beautiful dark pink crystal in color with a nice white head. Aroma is so nice bring lightly sweetened raspberries blended nicely with a sour tart yeast. Flavor of the tart comes in right around the same time with the raspberries, tart overtaking the raspberries for sure. It is not as dry as Temptation, but still a bit dry for sure with the berries fading and the tartness lingering a bit longer.
4.72011 Vintage purchased at Ledger’s in Berkeley quite some time ago. Rating #3000. The aroma is very strong and quite pleasant. Dominant raspberry, but there is enough light tart musty acetic funk to make this more interesting. Really nice. Gorgeous moderately hazy candy-apple red body with a large, bubbly pink head that dissipates quickly, but then it maintains a nice head for a while afterwards. Absolutely stunningly beautiful beer. Starts with significant sour tartness. Light acetic notes. Some sour raspberry flavor comes through in the middle. It almost has a light medicinal flavor, though. Finishes with a dry, barnyardy tartness. This beer is badass.
3.6375ml bottle, thanks kmweaver. Clear dark pink body topped by medium light pink head. Aroma is medium sweet, raspberry, some funk, tart, light cherry, sour/vinegar, wood. Taste is medium sweet, tart, some sour/vinegar, raspberry, light funk. Light-medium body, some acidity.
