Six malts and four hops go into this tasty dark ale. Hints of toffee, caramel, and chocolate are evident from aroma to finish in this approachable robust porter. 1.059 O.G / 40 BUs

3.4Draught @ Russian River Brewing, Santa Rosa, California (20.04.2016)
Aromat bardzo ubogi i mało intensywny. W smaku gorzka czekolada, kawa, palone słody. W tle nuta kwaśnej wiśni. Finisz wyraźnie przyprawowy. Czuć szczypnie w język od pieprzu. Pełne ciało. Gorzki, bardzo wytrawny finisz. Mało przyjemny porter...5,75 % alk. 14 BLG

3.9Sampler at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. Brown color with amber highlight and nice small stable tan head. Roasted malts, bitter chocolate, liquorice, and bitter finish. Low carbonation (again: hand pump?). An excellent Porter - sweet without being sweet, but still sorta bitter and dry.
3.9Pours a dark brown color with an off white head. Chocolate, coffee, caramel, toast and roasted malt aroma and flavors. Medium body and carbonation with caramel and roasted malt finish.
3.3Draught at the Russian River Brewing Co, Santa Rosa, CA.
Dark reddish copper brown colour with a small light tan head.
Roasted malt, mild coffee, liquorice and mild medicine notes in the aroma.
Strong roasted malt, mild coffee, bitterness and chocolate in the flavour. Dry and roasted.
3.4This poured a darker brown with a beige head. Aroma was of roasted malt and light dark.chocolate. Flavor was fairly dry, almost like a London Porter, but lacking chocolate character.
3.8"a basic but tastier than average porter. aroma of roasted malt, coffee, and smoke. chocolate malt and smoke in the flavor and finish. a touch thin, but not bad. quite smooth and highly drinkable. 2014-body better than remembered. Kicked the stout’s behind."
1.6A bit of a chalky coffee aftertaste. Chocolate notes on the start. Not a stupendous porter.
3.7Draft @ Russian River. Thick foamy tan head chillin on top a dark brown/black liquid. The aroma and flavor run hand-in-hand. Burnt coffee grounds, barely, dry roast with a hint of bitter chocolate to even out the sweetness. The body and texture is real nice for a standard porter. Borderline full with a slight creamy, smoothness.
3.8Dark chocolate black 2 finger coffee cream head. Standard porter nose. Chocolate some wood and charcoal with a lot of coffee. Creamy mouthfeel. Slight mineral water qualities some 7UP. Tastes great. Chocolate and coffee. So much of it. Lots of roasted malts and finish is silky cream.
3.6Sampler @ RR. dark brown colour. Coffee, toffee, caramel, chocolate, somewhat thin
3.9Fad: taster på brewpub. Sortbrun øl med et lækkert stort skumhoved. Sødlig maltduft klassisk porter. Ingen ristede noter. Ekstrem drikbar porter. Jeg er meget imponeret af disse to mørke øl som RR ellers ikke er så kendte for at brygge. Lækker øl.
3.7On tap at the RR Brewpub in Santa Rosa.
A: dak brown, nearly opaque but clear. Somewhat weak head still leaves very good lacing.
Aroma: as expected for style: a role model.
Flavor: refined dark roastd malts; fine London style porter
Feel: smooth; medium body; medium-low carbonation.
O: unremarkable excepting the high quality.
3.8Draft at brewery. Nose is chocolate with a light roast. Taste is amazingly smooth chocolate. Just a perfect balance of cocoa and chocolate with a touch of dark bitter chocolate to dry it out. Short of roast. Great damn porter. A touch thin but truly great.

4.2On tap at Russian River Brewery - Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. A brown-black pour with a non-lasting tan head and abundant lacing. The taste is rich and robust. Dark roasted malts, lactose, chocolate, and hints of coffee. Wonderful! Medium-full body and medium carbonation. Overall, an excellent robust porter. I may move to CA.
