2.9 Tasted while on vacation in Portugal. On tap at Al Dante restaurant in Lisbon, it pours a dark brown-black with a spritz of light tan head and residual lacing. Aroma: coffee, chocolate, molasses. Flavor: the above with ashes. Mouthfeel: light- to medium-bodied.
2.5 Bottle @ apartment in Funchal. Clear black body with a huge, creamy tan head. Mild aroma of light roasted dark malt with a hint of slightly harsh coffee. Flavor is a bit dull, plain dark malt with a feeling of plain coffee that has been heated too long and become a bit harsh and slightly sour. Thin body and some of the harsh coffee in the aftertaste. Way below average.
1.4 300ml bottle at Adamstor, Lisbon. Aroma is caramel, light muff-ish. Taste is light bitter and slight sweet. Astringent finish.
2.8 Bottle at a lounge. Unpoured. Scent is medium bodied Porter. Taste is consistent, a little sharp herbs, pepper. Maybe a little tin. Somewhat slimy. Cola notes. Bubbles. Tiny bit Briney. Finish is consistent mild slime. Good beer.
2.8 Fles in restaurant Lissabon. Zwart bier met schuim wat snel wegzakt. Smaak is licht zoet en licht bitter met iets van chocolade. Is wat waterig maar best aardig.
1.9 Dark beer. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and caramel. Very intense flavor of coffee, coffee grounds. Birra scura. Aroma di caffè, cioccolato e caramello. Sapore di caffè molto intenso, fondi di caffè.
2.3 330ml bottle @ Café do Forte whilst admiring Belém Tower in the January sun. Pours dark, voluptuous pale tan head. Aroma is nutty, light grain. Thin-bodied, watery with very light nutty malt, thin espresso roast. Passable schwarzbier.
2.6 Garrafa 33cl. Castanho muito escuro com reflexos vermelho-rubi e uma cabeça branca e fina. Tem um sabor de malte, caramelo e chocolate com um leve toque de nozes. Gosto bastante
2.3 Coffee aroma with a little of chocolate and caramel. Strong black colour. Very intense coffee flavour, remembering coffee grounds. Little malt at the end. Very fluid, low carbonation.
3.0 Thanks to sarky northner. Black malty roasty quite sweet. Decent stuff had a lot worse
2.8 Ciemnobrunatne piwo z niezłą pianą. Aromat słodkawego karmelu, daleko w tle nuty palone. Smak lekko słodki prawie niewyczuwalna palona goryczka. Przeciętne
3.3 Dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is a bit oxidated, malt, roasted. Taste is the same, not bad, except the aroma.
2.5 Draft 0.5l at Naaqua Portimao, Portugal. 27.05.2017. Pour it dark color with medium white head. Aroma roasted malt with sourish raisins feel. Taste light, easy drinkable, rosted feel just a little bit, pinch of plum on the back, lightly bitter, slick feel, light body, average carbonation.
2.4 0.2 l bottle. Pours black, no head. Faint earthy notes, some sweet grains. Light body, soft carbo, easy drinkability. Meh.
2.7 Bottle from supermarket in Portugal. Dark color, brown head. Roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate
3.0 Bottle@Hotel Talisman, Ponta Delgada. Nose quite metallic, hints of chocolate and liquorice. Thin body, taste sweetish, largely follows aroma.
2.9 Caramel coffee chocolate aroma. Overbarbonated For a dark beer which hides taste. Soft roasted malt taste with slight coffee finish. Not enough going on for adark beer really
2.9 Much better than Superbock Preta. Not as much depth of flavour as more artisanal stouts/porters. This is often pretty cheap in supermarkets though. Dark head, relatively smooth but no where near enough of it to last the drink. Average and acceptable if not borderline mundane.
4.0 Cerveja gostosinha cafezuda, sente bem o café e o rosto. Recomendo pra quem gosta de stout

2.6 Bottle, 0.33, courtesy of Danijel. Clear dark brown color with thin creamy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and stone fruit. Taste starts light sweet and sour grainy, follows by mild roasted malt, chocolate and mild grassy, mouhfeel is smooth, while finish is light bitter. Light body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Pretty decent schwarzbier...
2.3 33cl Bottle. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of roast, tobacco, ash, caramel. Flavour of ash, cigarette buds, carbonated water, some caramel, ashy and earthy finish. Light bodied, fizzy. Not very nice.

3.2 0.33 l bottle from ’Bier & Beer’ at 4.1% abv, best before August 2017. Clear, dark red to black with a large, foamy, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and some toasted nuts. Moderately sweet, malty, rather roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some toasted nuts, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, a little metallic finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly fairly effervescent mouthfeel, almost lively carbonation. Decent stuff, better than expected!
