3.1 September 2016 - Bottle share at Monday Mega Boost, Ticker Towers. Many thanks to Scopey for this one. As ’Saint Arnold Oktoberfest’, 6.6%. Clear orange, still, foamy tan head. Aroma is light, papery, cardboard, a touch peachy. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is toffee-ish malt, bready, tangerine, soft bitterness. Not bad actually. (3.1)
3.5 19th September2016 Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Paul. Clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest carbonation. Rich pale malts, some cream. Modest orange peel. Light floralness overarches all/ Light finish. Clean and tasty malt forward beer.

Aroma is sweet and grainy with notes of starch and biscuit. Taste is also sweet and grainy with notes of starch, caramel, straw. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, meh

3.1 Bottle shared in London - thanks to Paul. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Simple papery pale bread in he nose, faint crackers, citrus. Medium sweet flavour with some buttery caramel, ripe orange, bread. Ligh Bodied with average carbonation, sweet fin Sh, with more bread, butter, toffee. Fine.
2.9 Bottle split at Bespin, thanks to Paulo, 19/09/16. Clear orange amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is light fart, toffee apple, sweet malts, spice light. Taste comprises light caramel, faint apple, sweet malts, brown bread, brown sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok.
2.9 Bottle at BA lounge, IAH. It pours lightly hazy rich orange - amber with a decent foamy off-white head. The aroma is malt - driven, cereal, toasted grain, cracker, bread, mild spice and mild sweetness. The taste is crisp, mellow bitterness, sharp metallic carbonation note, cereal, toasted grain, orange sponge cake, muffin, toasted grass, light alcohol and general sweetness. Finish is sweet and dry. Pretty OK for the style. It certainly drinks easier than 6.6%
3.4 Big beer. Red pour from draft at Minute Maid. White head. Malty Carmel and earthy. A lot going on. Pretty good
3.1 Draft... Copper in color... Aroma of bready and nutty malts, caramel... Flavor is sweet, lots of toasted bread notes, average overall
2.8 Bottle - Pours medium to deep amber with white head that disappeared pretty quickly. Sweet, almost cola-like aroma. Sweet and malty, caramel, buckwheat pancakes with maple syrup, a clean hoppy after. And, excuse me, Scottish Ale? Okay. I won’t protest. Cheers.
3.3 Pours a light amber. Malt and carmel on the nose. The sweetness is almost like brown sugar simple syrup, reminiscent of pecan pie with some pie crust quality to it. Slightly sweet, malty finish, not overly crisp. Definitely a good autumn beer.
3.3 Clear copper amber with thin off-white head. Sweet malty aroma. Nice, smooth. Pretty good.
3.2 Bottle at Tamler’s house (also at United Lounge at Houston airport.) Amber body with medium head. Nose is caramel, malts, toasty, sweet. Taste similar toasty of malts, caramle and brown sugar. Well-balanced.
3.2 Bottle at the United Club in the B terminal IAH. Pours a clear, copper color with a thin, white head. Sweet, malty aroma with a hint of brown sugar and caramel. Light, crisp taste. Strong malt presence. Decent brew. Could have more in the taste.
3.7 While it is no German Oktoberfest, it is a fantastic beer to look forward to every year. While in season, it is a staple in my fridge.
3.3 Rated based on notes taken 8 Oct 2012 -- Good Marzen. High on the Munich malt keeps this beer really sweet and delicious.
3.8 Particularly sweet malty flavor. Little touch of alcohol taste. Nice weight and body. Great beer.
3.2 Bottle - Hey! What can I say? It’s a pretty good fuckin’ beer! Nice amber in color and....
3.4 bottle. deep amber with one finger head. sweet caramel malt. light fall spicing. minimal hops. definitely sweeter than most marzens i’ve had. i’d like it even better with some hops.
3.0 Bottle pour is Amber colored, light thin head. Well carbed. Aroma of malt and light funk. Medium bodied balanced beer. Hard to say much else
3.5 Appearance: clear amber orange, with half a finger of foamy, near white head and minimal lacing. Aroma: caramel malts, light toffee, a hint of honey and cereal and brown toast. Taste: as the aroma indicates, plus a bit of toasted nuts and a hint of grassy hops. Finish: crisp and slightly sweet, with just a bit of caramel and nuts and grass. Notes: Enjoyable Okto. Good palate, flavor was balanced, body was good. Solid all-around example. Bottle from Buddy’s (Drive-Thru!) Beer Barn in El Paso, Texas.
3.8 Had not rated this in the past for some reason. Today I am doing a comparison of several Oktoberfests from various brewers and this one is among them. So far it is par with other Oktoberfest brews. So for an Oktoberfest it is a good one for the style.
3.7 From bottle. Nice autumnal orange color. No head or lacing. Nose is underwhelming--water and some malt. Good carbonation. Excellent flavor sweet in the beginning and bitter in the finish. Probably my favorite Oktoberfest.
3.9 What can I say about the Saint Arnold Oktoberfest? They just get better every year, need to enjoy it off tap and have some sauerkraut and bratwurst with it.
3.0 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear amber, not much head. Nose is faint malt. Taste is watery malt, with a slight caramel note. Not a lot here. Nothing great, just very average.
3.5 Nice, amber cereal malty aroma. Potato masher style bottle, twistoff. Pretty good label. Intense, rusty orange-brown, thinnish white head. Sweet, toasted, light caramel, slightly tinny, very lightly astringent, some grassy notes - anything that sounds iffy in that flavor description was not. Very nice. Woody finish, not all that bitter. Good tailgate beer. Next time, this is going on braised cabbage, though. Market Square Liquors.
2.9 Pours a copper color with thin head. Clear. Aroma is malty, slight caramel, roasted. Grass, a bit of crisp hop presence. Smells decent. Taste is nice, starts with toast, a faint sweetness, some yeast, pepper and transitions to notes of crisp, clean hops. A bit thin. Overall, a decent local beer.
3.9 Copper pour, faint malt aroma. Molasses and malty sugars. Taste a little water on the start. Not bad at all just nothing stands out
3.0 Light in aroma with some lacing. Copper color with a light malty but more carbonated taste. The palate comes off clean. A nice brew but more maltiness would be nice.
2.0 Once again, I’m completely let down by Saint Arnold. And I didn’t even have high expectations. Copper pour, head dissapears very swiftly. The aroma is not bad, in fact I kinda like it. Sweet caramel and some hay, wheat. Description says full bodied, that’s a lie. Super watery. Taste is hay and water, not much else. Not a fan.
