3.7 12oz can. A lovely clear straw-golden pour in the glass, strong visible carbonation produces a pure white head that fades to approximately 3mm and leaves light sticky lacing. Faint aroma of bready grain and a suggestion of hop bitterness. Taste is a terrific balance of sweet grain and classic pilsner hop bitterness; good carbonic bite, slight agreeable oiliness. Finishes clean and pretty dry... I wish the taste would linger a little longer. Very good.
3.2 On draft at their beer hall. Pours a light golden with a short head. Nice bitterness with mild malt backing. Butter and toast for sure.
3.4 A hazed blonde pilsner with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, biscuit malt with German grassy hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy resinous German hops, light mineral notes, classic. On tap at United lounge, IAH.
2.5 I wasn't a huge fan of this beer, I'm normally all in on St. Arnold's but this one just didn't do it for me, the flavor was all wrong
3.0 Bottle -Pale straw yellow. Bready and lemon in the nose. Light roasted malt, fruit, some biscuit in flavor. Smooth bitter finish. Decent pilsner.
2.6 Well another can at a dive bar along the seawall in Galveston. Thinking of past times and that is what beer is for.
3.4 Draught at Workhouse Bar, North Loop, Austin, TX, 26.4.2016. Clear pale gold with a white head. Mellow aroma of cut grass with a little summer fruit. Crisp, bitter and malty taste. Light-to-medium body, fresh, faint hint of butter, malty finish.
3.1 (bottle) clear, pale yellow colour with a medium tall white head; creamy palate; aroma of noble hops; clean, balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish
3.0 Pours a dark golden yellow color with a fizzy white head. Aromas of grains, grass, floral hops. Flavors of cheerios, with a nice hop finish.
3.8 Crystal clear golden pour. Fuzzy white head. Aroma is sweet malt, banana, mild citrus. Crisp mouthfeel, sweet with some citrus. Nice.
2.8 Draft at JW Marriott in Houston. Pale gold with a thin white head. Moderately hoppy, an okay pils.
3.4 Clear bright light golden with a thin rocky white cap. Aroma is earthy grassy bitterness and crisp cracker lager malt. Nearly smells of methane. Crisp beautiful poppy blonde Pilsner malt flavor with a perfect amount of grassy noble hop flavor and drying bitterness. A bit on the earthy side but it finishes smooth and dry and more malty than not. Very classical forward and flawlessly made.
3.0 Can - light lemony look on the pour with a sufficient bubbly head. Light and sweet. A little grassy. Light to medium body.
3.4 On draft at IAH. Yay Houston. Poured a light gold, slight head. Aroma of pale malt, lightly grassy hops. Flavor matched. Lawnmower beer, but a nice one.
2.8 Clear yellow, decent lasting lacing foam head. Barley aroma and taste, not quite a pilsener to my buds. (Houston 201505)
2.7 Bottle at home. Pours clear golden, thin white head with good retention. Champagne like bubbles. Aroma is thin, cereal light citrus. Taste is cereal, grain, mild bitterness. Clean. Light body, medium carbonation. Good clean summer beer, but not a super flavorful pils.
2.8 Ghastly can. Clear yellow beer. Smells like beer. Cereal flavor up front, decent bittering. Hops stick around. Decent, drinkable, nothing fancy. ABC Liquors, Betton.
2.7 Pours a clear yellow from the bottle with thin white head that leaves minimal lace. Aroma of nice pils malt and clean fruity yeast. Taste follows, hint of grass thrown in. A typical pilsener, unimpressive but easy and light for warm weather.
4.1 Great summer beer! Didn’t do an outside activity without it!. Easy to drink and a real refresher for me. Cant wait until next summer to have a few of these
2.3 Decent for what it is. Faint grain aroma with lager yeastiness. Light golden color with plenty of clarity. Light and watery palate with high carbonation. Flavors were pale malt with an earthy oak hint tasted as the beer warmed a bit. I do agree with the brewery’s recommendation that this is best served cold.
3.4 As far as pilsners go, this was pretty solid. I don’t typically love the style but this one had a nice crisp nose of citrus and notes of smooth malt. Flavor was super drinkable, citrus notes but nothing bitter. Smooth malt and crisp finish. I dig it for sure
3.3 Bottle @ Greg’s dump, pregaming Trailhead Tuesday. Pours a dark yellow appearance with a white head. Fairly spicy, herbal noble hops in the aroma along with a slightly mineral-like smell. Somewhat sweet flavor. Toasted grains. Herbal hops. A bit chalky. Light fruitiness. Not all that offensive but a bit sweet.
2.8 As with most stuff from saint arnold, they took a sort of bland style and made an above average version. Not great, but above average.
3.0 Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains and not much else on this both on the nose and palate. Finishes fairly clean.
3.5 Pours a pale gold with a paper thin head. Aroma of biscuit, mild hops and malt. Taste is light and smooth, biscuit, slight hop bitterness and not much else. Light and simple but that makes for a solid pilsner!
3.3 On tap. Pours a nice gold with a foamy white head. It has a light malt aroma with faint hops along with a light malt flavor, a slightly sweet middle, and a crisp finish.
3.4 Clear gold with lots of visual carbonation in the form of tiny bubbles. The head dissolves fairly quick. Aroma of sweet malt. This beer has a little more body than most pils and is mildly sweet and less dry. Clean crisp finish. Makes for a good session beer.
3.9 Pours clear golden with a medium sized white head. Smells of subtle earthy hops and mild sweet grain. Taste is mild sweetness and a crisp bitterness. Light-bodied with a crisp texture and light mouth-carbonation, Saint Arnold Summer Pils finishes with a clean refreshingness.
3.2 Light straw in color flavorful crisp and a little bready. Very refreshing and far better than standard lite lawn mower beers.
3.8 Pours a clear golden color with carbonation coming up from the bottom of the glass. A small 1/2 finger head that didn’t last. Smells of light malt and mild hops. The hops taste earthy - herbal and floral. Light pilsner body. Light malts. Slightly dry finish. An affordable and sessionable pilsner
