3.3 A surprise find at Simplemart down the road: bottled at 8.5% Aroma: bread, beef extract, some metal. Appearance: dark honey-coloured, 2-3 mm. tan head. Palate: light-bodied and slick, soft carbonation, rather abrupt finish. Taste: lightly sweet and bitter combined, a bit buttery. 8.5% ABV remarkably well-hidden. Quite a smooth drink.
2.5 0,33l Flasche.
3.9 The beer looks very nice. The color of the beer is a nice golden yellow. The beer looks very clear, but some particles can be seen in strong light. On top of the beer a nice layer of soft white foam, quite rough, is formed. The bulk of the foam collapses quite quickly. A very thin drape of foam is left. The smell of the beer is nice. It is my first Bière de Garde and I already like it. It has some Belgian blonde things in it and some extra hops. The beer is very gentle, but very nice. I smell some nice gentle malts, giving some sweeter notes. Besides this there are some fruity and bitter hop aroma’s, containing some citrus touches. It reminds me a bit of some of the Leffe Royal beers. There is also some alcohol in there, and some woody things. The taste of the beer is also nice. I taste some nice fruit flavours, with some hoppy bitterness and malty fruitiness. There are also some wood touches. It is a nice strong aroma, with delicate fruits. The balance between robust and delicate is quite nice. It is a special beer type, but I’m sure I’ll drink it more often. The palate is also good. Medium body, smooth, medium carbonation. The finish is long, slowly fading and contains some alcohol. Lovely.
3.1 A nice beer but i found the aroma to be a let down...metallic, irony. Pours golden orange. The taste is creamy malty, toffee caramel with spicy hop finish. Hides the ABV incredibly, not bad
2.5 Aroma 6. Appearance 3. Taste 4. Palate 2. Overall 10. A bit too sweet, alcohol taste.
3.5 Light amber, off-white frothy head transforming to a nice hill in the middle of surface. Candy, perfume, dust, alcohol on nose. Medium body. Sweetish flavour. Candy, corn, perfume, dried pale fruit. Not much spirit on tongue. Light bitterness. Enjoyable enough. It has some point on it. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone

3.0 Well, this one ain’t bad bud is rather disappointing to me. It has a strong alcohol aftertaste all along, not a bad thing but there barely was much more to find in it. A somewhat pleasant taste in mouth at the beginning but it tends to get boring at the end... Quite sour overall. Some might like it, it’s correct, but definitely not in my best experiences book. 3.2 Lthough sweet beers is not my kind of thing, I still like this beer. Only drink it wel chilled. This reduces the sweet caramel and pure sugar taste. It brings up a balanced hop taste. After taste is sweet.

3.5 From Alcampo. Ik Teku glass. Watching Sons of Anarchy 6x03-04. Reminds me a saison but more alcoholic. However, that doesnt spoil it but maybe even improves it. Its dangerously drinkable. Herbal

2.5 Can - clear golden with medium high carbonation though head only slight white around rim. Aroma decent but sweet. Ok on tongue, slight catch on back of mouth. Bit sweet tasting. Bottle - still same scoring, clear, medium carbonation - Golden orange. Fizz in mouth / tongue over powers everything else. Sweet caramel / toffee - not the best.
