3.3 Bottle from Willems in Grobbendonk. Poors light amber with nice head, good lacing. Aroma and taste: very floral, tasty, slightly sweetish malts, faint hops. Very tasty, not too complex but good saison.
3.3 Bottle, 330 ml. I'm addicted to Saisons nowadays, and this is a very decent one too. Murky deep amber, good white head can be recalled by swirling the glass. Apples, green pears, bananas and faint vanilla on the nose. Nuce taste, it's sour and refreshing, green apples dominant palate, good CO2, long and pleasent sour aftertaste. There's smthg spicy in the background, reminds me on basil of coriander. Very interesting. What else could be better than this on a hot summer afternoon?
3.0 33cl Bottle @ Saveur-Biere, Lille, France. Hazy golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, spices. Taste is malt, yeast, citrus, fruits, spices. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.2 Bottle from Saveur Bière.com. Cloudy golden color, white head. My, fruity, hoppy Nice
3.0 Bright blond colored beer with a large white head, medium / high carbonation. Taste is dry, spicy, malty, mint, lemon. Average.
2.6 Flesje thuis gedronken. Oranje-achtig helder bier met stevig schuim. Geur en smaak is zuur. Nasmaak is iets bitter.
2.8 Bottle from Carrefour in brussels. Hazy orange color big bubbly offwhite head, expansive, reducing fairly persistent. Aroma is a bit off, tastes like wheat with mint, grass, orange, coriander, but quite dirty. Dry lemony aftertaste, dusty fluffy texture. Hmm, not good as i would have expected.
3.8 0,33l bottle. Hazy copper colour with medium lasting white head. Aroma: Wine cellar, matured cheese with hiding candy sugar notes. Taste: Quite malty but tarty start with a gently bitter mouthfeel. (Almond and soft cognac tones) Has a quite smooth texture. Light/medium body with soft carbonation. Long gently bitter and dry finish.
3.0 Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge. A light vanilla flavor on the tongue hè ? Nope. We’re more in front of your usual saison : no great taste nor aroma, but a refreshing boost, with a nice subtle malty taste. The usual good. Drink it, but don’t expect too much of it.
2.4 Very yeasty aroma with taste to match, providing its only flavour dimension, though perhaps I could be convinced there’s some orange in here somewhere. Like a Belgian Blue Moon.
2.0 I’m not about this life. Kind of the lager of saisons. Nothing really comes out here through the flavor, something like a nonbitter hoppiness with an aftertaste of sweet. Again, a characteristic redolent of a soso lager.
3.0 (Saison 1900) Tap at Cafe Caspar, Arnhem. 250ml glass, ABV 5.4% Copper orange colour on the body, crystal clear, with a huge and thick white head on top, with very good retention. Aroma of grass, light straw, hints of spices. Taste is mostly sweet, with straw, caramel, hints of spices again and a faint metallic taste. Thin body, low carbonation. Okay.
2.8 zapach dość czysty ale kwaśny, w tle dość wytrawne słody, trochę kurzu i przypraw i lekkie dzikie nuty, ale wszystkiego tego trzeba się doszukać pod silnymi kwaśnymi, cytrynowymi/kwaskowo cytrynowymi zapachami. kolor jasnego bursztynu, równomiernie , dość mocno zmętniony. piana biała, drobna, bardzo obfita i dosyć trwała. w smaku wytrawne, lekkie, lekko wodniste, lekko kwaskowe, mączne, z pozytywnymi nutami kurzu, lekkimi nutami przypraw i dzikimi. goryczka niska, mimo wytrawności piwa, lekko ziołowa i bardzo czysta. nasycenie bardzo wysokie.
3.4 AROMA: cereal, hay, barnyard, basement aromas, APPEARANCE: pale, hazy, white foam, minimal head, TASTE: light sweetness, lightly bitter, PALATE: sticky, light, soft, abrupt OVERALL: pleasant somewhat non-descript saison.
3.0 0.33 l bottle from ’Belgiuminabox.com’, best before October 2016. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a massive, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly yeasty-spicy and a bit grassy aroma of straw, clove and a touch of banana. Slightly sweetish, yeasty-spicy and slightly grassy taste of hay, light crackers, clove and a touch of banana, followed by a medium long, moderately grassy-bitter, slightly peppery-dry finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Would have been nicer fresh I guess, still easily drinkable and not too bad.
2.2 Hazy golden body, good lasting white head. Grainy aroma, some hoppy notes of sweet yellow fruits. Flavours of grain, caramel, some fruity notes. Short slightly hoppy and bitter finish. Light body, high carbo. Common blond beer, far from being a saison.
3.4 the aroma is fruity and malty with hints of vanilla, plum, toffee, garden berries and herbs... the taste is fruity and malty with notes of toffee, garden berries, raisin, caramel and some flowers... sweet and bitter aftertaste...
3.1 F: big, white, good retention. C: deep gold, almost clear. A: light sour fruity, hint of barnyard, citrus, spicy. T: malty, fruity, hint of earthy, orange, medium body, good carbonation, like a lager combined with saison but not bad thirst quencher, 0,33l bottle from Prik&Tik /Quali-drinks/ in Brussels.
2.1 Draught at Kafé Van Zanten, Amersfoort. Clear golden with a medium white soapy head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Subtle sweet and bitter tones. Bread, malts and citrus. Quite watery, not good.
3.4 Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is deep golden colored and has a large and stable white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is very hoppy and fruity, with malt notes and also notes of flowers, wood and spices. The taste is sweet and fruity, with a light sourness and notes of vanilla and fruits. The finish is refreshingly dry and bitter with fresh hops.
3.3 Botella 33 cl. (r327). Lote L1 hasta 0122003. Son muchos recuerdos. Normal.
2.8 From tap at Bierencafé de Heks, Deventer. Aroma is rather malty, soft fruity and spicy notes, a touch of caramel. A bit buttery. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Very dull and forgettable Saison.
3.1 Light opaque dark yellow, white lasting, lacing foam head. Light barley aroma, fruity tones in taste, some vanilla indeed present. (Arnhem 201608)
3.3 Bottle with Kapusil. Hazy dirty blonde. Nice mellow saison. Very wet not dry finish as Ive come to expect from saisons. Carbonated nicely light hops light tartness. Finish isnt long bit flavors stick around mostly light hops. I like it, though not the best saison ever it’s enjoyable.
3.1 0.33l bottle. Hazy orabge body, huge white head. Aroma of bread, orange zest, pears and doughy yeast. Taste of bread, toast, lemon zest and earthy hops. The finish is quite hoppy. OK beer but doesn’t remind me of a saison.
