3.0 Odd saison, not quite sour, not quite not sour, with a tart citrus base layered under mild notes of grass, apple, pepper, and flowers. Also has a slight funkiness lurking on the edges, but this might be due to the bottle's advanced age. Overall an interesting pint, but not one I care to repeat.

3.1 Murky, orange color. Medium sized, white head. Herbs, malt, yeasts and peppers in the aroma. Moderately sweet, lacks saison freshness.

3.2 33cl bottle from Bier Temple, Brussels. A hazy amber pour with a billowing white head that rapidly reduces to a thin film; aroma of yeast and orange peel; sourish taste with some purple fruit and a caramel malt body; with some ginger and allspice adding warmth in the finish. A pleasant saison.

2.6 Couleur ambrée clair plutôt limpide. Mousse correcte. Nez pas terrible, genre cuvette de pissotière. En bouche ça se passe mieux. Un peu bretté, un peu épicé. C'est pas incroyable mais je trouve ça moins pire que ce que prétendent mes camarades de soirée.

3.4 Trübes Orangegold mit relativ wenig Schaum. Malzig, etwas Honig, leicht fruchtig, Orangenschale, pfeffrig, dezent säuerlich, süffig.

4.0 Bottled, kindly shared by LeoR. Hazy golden colored, medium head. Yeasty nose, fruity, some spices, hint of hops, not classic Saison but still very nice. Yeasty and somewhat spicy flavor, fruity, some grain. Very nice.

2.0 bottle @ home (gone bad?) orange with no head sweet malty, caramel, butterscotch ....no carbonation, have to find another bottle and retaste...

3.5 Bottle from de Caigny in Essen, Belgium. THe beer is hazy deep orange to amber colored with a large and stable white head, carbonation is very good. The aroma is light malty and very fruit and spicy, with notes of flowers, citrus, orange peels, yeast, spices and anice. The taste starts malty with a light to medium body and goes to fruity and with a light sourness, and goes to yeasty, spicy and peppery. THe finish is light dry and bitter with a long noticable sourness.

2.8 Bottle 33cl, a cloudy golden beer with medium head. Nose is a bit phenolic, floral, some sourness, grapefruit. Aroma is bit lemony, strange spices notes (did got the list of ingredients after the rating and did not detect them at all), base lactic touch, a bit rotten. Frankly saying not very good and complex at all;

2.5 En lisant saison très épicée avec intégration dans la recette de poivre, gingembre, écorce d’orange douce, curaçao, badiane sur le site du brasseur, je me réjouissais d'avance d'une saison complexe et intense en bouche. Que nenni! J'aurais par contre du me méfier de l'inscription "légèrement acide". Le légèrement est donc tout relatif avec sur cette saison de Pipaix une acidité bien présente. Elle aurait cependant du apporter une touche de fraîcheur compensant une présence épicée forte. Ce qui n'est absolument pas le cas, avec une intensité aromatique faible et discrète, tel une mélodie susurrée au creux de l'oreille. Déséquilibre flagrante donc dans la structure pour une bière, au final, décevante. En verre nous sommes sur un doré foncé proche de l'ambré (EBC aux alentours de 23) avec une mousse blanc cassé nappant juste la surface. La déception arrive dès le nez, ni expressif, ni intense. De l'acidité accompagnée de pomme et de poire se décèlent tout de même. L'attaque fraîche et souple est encore acceptable. Elle présente tout de même une petite touche acide citronnée sans que celle-ci soit trop prégnante et s'accompagne d'une base fruitée (pêche, agrumes) et épicée (on ressent bien la badiane, le poivre et le gingembre) d'une faible intensité mais quasiment équilibrée. La deuxième bouche dérape davantage, acidité plus intense et accompagnement aromatique qui se perd complètement. Arrière bouche complètement identique. La troisième bouche sombre encore un peu plus, sur l'acidité, avant un final trop court, sans élancement sur de trop faibles notes épicées. En conclusion cette bière est un beau gâchis.

3.9 Big bottle from Belgium in a box. Aroma is orange peel, vanilla, anise, black pepper. Deep dark hazy blood orange color. Minimal head. Sweet and silky mouthfeel. Malty, almost no bitterness whatsoever. Strange at first because I’ve become accustomed to some dry hoppiness in Belgian saisons. Caramel and honey, but the mix of spices dominate here. I get the ginger and black pepper, the fruity peel is not bitter but sweet. Unreal that this is brewed using steam power. Respect to these guys and their methods. Very unique saison.

3.6 Bottle from Bartlebier. Finally got around to having it. Cheers! Hazy sour fruit aroma. Solid opaque amber. Thick creamy off-white head. Light bitter with sweet hints. Umami. Citrus, herbs, liquorice, nuts (cashew?). Medium bodied. Heavy. Soft carbonation. Long finish. Interesting. A softer take on an acidic beer?

3.2 Big bottle at home. Clear dark gold with a white head that shrinks away. Odd aroma, peppery, funky and with an odd note, like an old dishcloth. Not unpleasant, though. Sweet taste with a little dryness. Toffee malt flavours, almond and nettle hop flavours. An odd slightly lactic, woody aged note to a sticky finish. That said, not a bad beer and quite interesting - there is a lot going on here.

3.3 Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Nez levure, légère acidité. Palais correct, houblon moyen, levure bien présente. Pointe d’agrume à la fin. Correcte.

3.1 Amberkleurig met kleine witte schuimkraag. Geur is fris, licht zout en citroen. Smaak is graan, zoet met een licht zoute toets.

3.2 Pours unclear, darker blonde to light amber. Small white head that looks very fluffy and rather stable. Smell is very mild. bit funky malts. Taste is not super intense. has a sweet side, anis ( goddamn, didn’t see that coming... ) and some malts. Low carbo and OK mf.. Not my favorite at all, mainly because of the lack of fresh, crispyness and the presence of anis ( why, oh why ) OK beer nevertheless, and quality at least is spot on.

3.2 Reçu par la représentante de la brasserie. Bouteille de 33cl. Couleur orangé bien trouble . Mousse inexistante. Au nez : le houblon frais et un peu de fruit . En bouche : plutôt frais , note de fruit comme de l’abricot. Peu note d’amertume très discrète. Présente en fin de bouche type agrumes léger. Plutôt désaltérant . Équilibre bien respecté. Longueur plutôt moyenne.

3.9 Vierte amarillo anaranjado con pequeña cabeza de espuma blanca de ligera retención, aromas a manzana verde, uva blanca, naranja, levadura, especias y galleta; en boca entrada ligera, refrescante y especiada con ligero amargor, notas ligeramente ácidas, cuerpo medio ligero con carbónico medio, retrogusto ligeramente dulce y seco, agradable cerveza, fácil de beber y acorde a su estilo.

2.6 Robe orange, ambrée. Très trouble, brumeuse, avec nuages de bulles très fines. Très peu de mousse, blanche, mauvaise tenue. Nez très épicé de curaçao, orange, poivre et gingembre très perceptible. Bouche d’attaque plutôt neutre, douce avec une fine acidité citronnée. Les notes épicées se révèlent alors, avec la douceur de l’orange et du curaçao en avant-plan. Le gingembre et le poivre assèche la bouche. Touche claire de levure. Très peu d’amertume même en fin de bouche. Finale abrupte. Texture très aqueuse et peu carbonatée, peu de corps. Bière assez rafraîchissante malgré son biais sucré.

2.8 Oranje bier zonder schuim. Smaak is licht zuur en licht fruitig met iets van citroen, abrikoos.

3.3 Bottle shared @ Ølbutikken. Pours dark hazy orange with a small white head. Aromas of salmiak, peppery, yoghurt, berries, esters. Taste is light sour, estery, straw, citrussym

2.2 330mL bottle, pours an opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast and earthy notes. Flavour is quite tart, with some stale notes, some pepper and earthy notes. This is pretty bad - definitely some infected notes here.

2.4 Bottle in Rome. Hazy orange. Sweet, sewer funk. Not good. Warm and souring. Poor infection, gushing flavor. Shame.
