Saku Kuld

Saku Kuld

Saku Kuld – a modern classic, the absolute elite of Estonian beers, a combination of Saku’s hundreds-of-years-old brewing traditions, and the newest technology.

With a rich taste, foam, and aroma, a delicate balance of freshness and mildness characterizes the taste of Saku Kuld. The freshness comes from Nordic oat malt and velvety smoothness is added to the refined bouquet by Hallertau hops. In addition, Saku Kuld is characterized by a clear colour and thick firm foam. Saku Kuld is sold in unique bottles with a relief of the Saku arms.

2.5 "Review to be written." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com Date: 07/12/2015 Bought at: Systembolaget in Västerås, Sweden.
2.7 Straight from can. Aroma: faint malts. Medium body. Sweet malty taste. Honey, candy. Some spicy hops present. Hollow ending.
2.6 Tap at the business lounge in TLL. Clear yellow with pure white head. Typical Estonian lager. Sweet, malty and what not.
2.3 On tap in Tallinn, pours a clear gold with some white head. Nose has corn, yeast, soggy bread. Flavor follows, bready, corny, yeast. Finishes mostly dry. You know... unoffensive.
4.0 En lidt tynd pilsener, der på den positive side har en rimelig god humlesmag
2.2 Sweet grain and cereal malts, caramel, dusty straw, molasses. Clear gold, medium, frothy, white head. Light sweet. More grain and cereal malts, bread, citrus fruits, medium carbonation, light bodied. Boring Lager, quite sweet. Keg at Tallinn Airport lounge.
2.0 Ljusgul, stort vitt skum. Doftar ljus limpa. Smaken är brödig, lite citrus, alltför klen beska, kort eftersmak.
2.0 Peale sauna või grillimise kõrvale kärab küll. Humalat on tunda, muud eriti midagi. Makropruuli kohta siiski enamvähem jook.
1.8 Bottle. Pours clear golden with medium white head. Aroma and taste are malty and corny with grass and some citrus. Pretty bland, watery and tasteless macro lager.
1.9 How: Bottle. Where: Systembolaget. Appearance: Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma: Sweet malt, bread. Body: Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Flavour: Sweet malt, some metal and citrus.
1.8 Tastes like a American light beer. One could drink a hundred of these beers on a hot day. Certainly nothing imperial about this beer. I would call it a light tasting lager of no significance.
2.0 Can, rating #3500 (thanks random friend). Pours yellow-golden. Aroma is grainy, papery, nastiness, booze. Flavor is sweet and bitter, grains, cardboard, malt. Finish is sweet, grainy, papery. Overall: bad, but not horror.
2.1 Obfita piana, ale z dużymi pęcherzykami. Piwo złote i klarowne, ale na dnie puszki była jakaś dziwna zawiesina. W aromacie słodowe, ale dominuje aldehyd octowy. Wysokie nagazowanie, goryczka niska. W smaku lekko słodowe i alkoholowe. Podsumowanie: Typowy eurolager. I do tego aldehyd.
1.9 Bottle at pub. Pours golden with medium white head. Aroma is mild malts and hay. Taste is malty with mild hops and a hint of oak. Lively carbonation. Okay bulk lager.
1.6 Can 50 cl. Pours golden with medium white foam. Aroma is malts, some sweetness, syrup, dust, something sour, vegetables. Taste is sweet, boiled vegetables, malts, carrot, dust. Not the brightest lager.
2.8 330ml Dose. Klar und golden mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Würzig. Mild.
2.4 Bottle. Golden color with white head. Aroma has some grain and grass. Taste is grainy with a bit sweet aftertaste. Flavors of malt, caramel, corn. Watery.
2.7 Aroma: Sweet malt and honey with a mild crisp note. Spicy German hops. Moderate oxidation. Appearance: Slightly hazy, deep gold with a lasting pure white head. Taste: Sweet malts and low bitterness. Candi sugar. Palate: Creamy mouthfeel, med-low carbonation Overall: Serviceable lager that’s a bit on the sweet side. A bit of an aged sample. I imagine a fresh version to have a bit more complexity.
2.1 Ganska bra skum. Luktar lite hö. Smakar lite sött, fadd. Inte mycket beska. Meh.
2.1 500ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear pale golden, medium size, white head, some lacing. Sweet malty aroma, bread and grains. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Grainy taste with bread and-metallic notes. Lacking bitterness.
2.3 330 ml bottle. Pale yellow colour. Medium head. Slightly malty, bit sweet, slightly grassy aroma. Bit metallic, bit sweet, slightly malty taste. Slightly bitter finish. Light bodied, highly carbonated, rather unplesent lager beer. When it would be very cold I would drin it after sauna, but otherwise not good.
2.0 Fick denna av svärmor. Omtänksamt med tyvärr ingen öl att minnas. En öl i mängden.
2.3 Bottle from SB 160305. Clear light golden amber body, lacing white head. Bread and raw fruit in the nose. Typical industrial lagertaste. Not good, not bad.
1.8 @ Agards väg 4/1-16. Bottle from Systembolaget. Sweet and malty with metallic notes and some corn. Body is light to medium, the finish is sweet and malty.
1.7 Ljus och klar industrilager. Lite brödig smak med metall och lätt beska. Trist och tråkigt
2.8 Bottle. Pale yellow, fairly big white head with minor lacings. Aroma is slightly sweet malt paired with grassy, minarelly notes, slight vegetables. Taste is slight malty with slight bread, grassy minor bitter finish. Light body, high carbo, sharp bubbles. Decent, clean.
