Named after our local railway station, Junction Ale is a strong 4.5 ABV premium ale. Brewed with Challenger, Bramling X and Goldings hops, the beer has a deep amber colour with a spicy hop character.

2.9 Cask. Rather clear amber color with grey head. Aroma is bitter toffee, earthy. Taste is toffee, earthy, fudge, quite bitter finish with aftertaste of toffee. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Decent.
3.0 Cask at the angel. Pours clear amber, nose is floral, toffee, biscuity, taste is sweet, dry toffee, bitter.
2.8 Cask pint at the Assembly Rooms, Epsom. Pours clear amber brown with an off white head. Aroma of malt. Typical Sambrooks yeast taste. Bitter finish.
3.3 Cask. Copper beer with a dark cream head. Light citrus aroma. Light caramel and light citrus flavor. Medium bodied. Light caramel and light citrus lingers.
3.9 Cask The Harp, London. Clear amber to copper, medium off-white head. Caramelly and nutty malt aroma, fruity, floral hops. Dry, medium to high bitterness.

3.4 Not having read the other comments, did anybody else notice a similarity to Young’s Special about this one? And better than its current incarnation too with plenty of autumn fruits and a decent hop rate. Liked it.
3.3 Cask as full pint at Flying Horse (JDW) Gatwick, on June 27, 2017. Malty, fruity, some light fudge taste. Malty, light fruity aftertaste. Medium thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Clear dark copper to brown color, tan head with plenty of lacing. Malty, light fruity scent. 6/4/7/3/12=3.3
3.0 Cask at The Queen’s Arms, Pimlico. Near clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of malt, spicy hops, toffee and light fruits. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to light medium bodied.
3.1 Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Mar 2011 - Deep Amber in colour. Malty; toasty biscuity malts, caramel. Hoppy; grassy and spicy hops. Fruity; citrus fruity. Sweetish malty fruity throughout. Not at all bad. Drinkable. (2011-03-03)
3.1 Cask draft at the Hoop & Toy. Medium amber pour with small creamy beige head Aroma hints at sweet malts, which is the case for the flavor. Sweet malt, caramel, butterscotch, toffee. Kind of light weight, but not too bad.
3.5 Cask, quarterly ale, 1/2 pint, hand-pulled at Hengler’s Circus on 29 Oct 2016, fruity, yeasty aromas, amber brown with a thin cream head and fine lacing, fruity, yeasty, malty flavours, creamy, sweet.
3.3 Cask at the Pump House, Shirley Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin whispy white head. The aroma is ovaltine malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light mellow smooth malt, light fruit, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
3.4 Cask pint in The Paxton, West Norwood, London on 19th Nov 2016. Amber in colour with a decent sized off-white head that hung around. Malt led brew with an earthy, nutty and woody feel to both the nose and semi-bitter, semi-sweet taste. Old School beer and I liked it, good hop balance too.
3.4 Cask@linford arms, Cannock. Amber beer with medium head and good lacing. Aroma of malts and cereal grain. Taste is sweetish grain, malts and a fruity hop bitterness. Decent.
3.0 Cask. Nice fruity malts. Not too deep, hints of grain, sessionable, but fresh malty. Round but not too deep.
3.1 On cask at the Duke’s Head, Putney. Reasonably straightforward bitter with a solid grain taste and a little more hop flavor than the standard cask offerings. Good with a pie.
3.3 Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, London. Hazy amber-brown in colour with a malty, nutty and earthy flavour followed by a smooth roasted and fruity finish. Pretty good.
3.2 Cask at the Wilmington, Finsbury, London. Pours copper brown with a lasting and quite firm off white head. Aroma of malt, hop, caramel and fruit/mild spice. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slight sticky texture, soft carbonation. Finish has a malty, slightly sour and somewhat dry feel. A decent pint overall.
2.7 Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear copper colour. Aroma of pears and apples. Mid sweet with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with pears and dough. Mild resiny bitterness.
2.7 500ml bottle. Pours amber with no head. Low carbonation. Aroma of spices, nuts, plums, caramel. Taste is caramel, barely, hops and nuts.
2.9 Cask handpull. Mostly clear amber coloured pour with a lasting off white creamy top. Aroma is nutty, raisin bread, bit of staling, dried apple. Flavour is composed of nutty light toffied malts, raisin and dried apples, little dishwater. Some rough grains in the finish. Palate is medium sweet, moderate cask condition. OK bitter but pretty boring.
3.0 2015-09-22. Crisp amber body, near headless. 3+ Aroma has a vaguely tea like, or seaweed note (reminds me of a sushi restaurant somehow) Flavour is similar with tea notes, light bitterness. Smooth average bodied palate, low carbonation. Okay. Cask at The Falcon, London, UK..
3.8 the aroma is malty and fruity with hints of bisquit, caramel and lollipop... the taste is malty with notes of caramel, candy, garden fruits and bisquit... bitter, sweet and dry aftertaste...
3.2 Draught @ The Junction. Dark amber with very small frothy white head that leaves a ring, faint caramel aroma, high carbonation, thin body, light caramel taste, abruot finish. Quite mellow but drinkable.
3.2 Dark reddish brown, low foamy head. Malty e, chocolate, caramel, erthy malt, lightly spicy. Se,i-sweet, caramel, erthy. Decent hop balance but no so interresing.
3.2 Cask at Roebuck, Leek. Pours red brown with off white head. Some spice, bitter smoke, slightly too sweet.
2.8 Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A clear copper amber colour with a creamy white head. Aroma of caramel, spice, some nuts, subtle butterscotch and slight banana. Taste of caramel, butterscotch, some banana, subtle raisin, slight nuttiness and spicy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A malty finish with a subtle spicy hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Malty and smooth but unaspiring and too sweet, forgettable.
3.6 Aroma: Medium-light caramel. Light floral. Appearance: Clear copper body. thin, tan head. low retention. Flavour: Medium-light bitterness. Light hops, floral, grassy. Light astringency. Dry finish with lingering astringency. Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Missing in the hoppiness/bitterness that you usually get for the style, but not a bad beer. 500 ml bottle, poured. 8B. Special/Best/Premium Bitter
3.4 Poured clear reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma of sweet berries, liquorice and caramel malt. Light to medium body, flavour is medium sweet, lightly bitter.
