3.0 0,5l bottle. Dark brown color. Small head, disappears quickly. Sweet malts, caramel aroma. Very sweet, burnt sugar taste, caramel.
3.9 From Kaufland in Nachod. Almost ten years ago. Price was 12,50 KC. Przezroczyste ciemno brazowe piwo z ladna trwala piana. Slodowe i landrynkowe, guma balonowa na zakonczenie. Poprawiam te ocene bo nie to tmave pivo ocenilem wczesniej.
3.0 50 cl, bottled. Pours clear red with a beautiful creamy (love the colour) head. Aroma: Toasted malt, coffee most certainly. Taste: Medium sweet, lacks bitterness. Coffee continues in flavour. Toffee. Palate: Light-medium body, quite slippery. Low carbonation. Mild acidic tone in the end. Pretty decent.
3.1 4.7% ABV version from the SAQ, in a green bottle. Wow... beautiful roasted malt nose with some light smoke and nuts. Colour is a clear copper with a creamy off-white cap, decent lasting with some good thick lacing. The taste is on the sweet side though, not showing much of the roasted malt. Second sip seems less sweet, almost watery. The smell disappears as well, but when you swirl your glass, some nice aromas come back, even a bit of coffee. Too bad the flavours are not present. Just some dull malt and this sweetness that comes and goes.
3.3 Bottle. Mostly clear dark brown color like a cola. Creamy light brown head. Sugary malty aroma. Sweet taste with some chocolate. Smooth texture. Medium body.
2.4 Flaske 0,5l fra Kilpishalli. 3,8%. KI=7
2.7 500ml bottle, 3.8% abv., thanks to Finn. Dark green bottle with a golden foil to its neck. Beige head, Deep, dark brown body, ruby glint. Grain-malty nose. Brown sugar and bready, dark malts in flavour. Modest bittersweet end. Dusty dry. Smooth. Nice, a tad too sweet, though (Tromsø, 13.01.2012).
3.7 From a bottle. Pours a dark, ruby red with a nice white head. Tastes incredibly sweet, nice fruits, goes down very easily. Just about no bitterness, making it extremely accessible. Very adequate level of carbonation. This is probably one of the most underrated beers here, as I know I could initiate just about anybody to beer tasting with this one.
2.0 Bottle @ home. Aroma is nearly non excistent, maybe some roasted malt. flavour is light malty sweetness with a touch of roast. Meh.
2.5 Bottle at home. Clear dark red pour, thin off-white head. Aroma is mostly absent, some sugary malts. Flavor is sweet sugar and a bit creamy. Boring brew.
3.3 Got a 4,7% alcohol version. Dark brown color. Malty and light roasty aromas. Medium sweet taste and light bitterness from the roast.
2.7 Pours a deep reddish brown with a quickly dissipating light tan head. Aroma of grains and roasted malts, ’Sugar Crisp’ cereal comes to mind, leading me to believe this will be overly sweet. Sugary malt profile dominates the flavor, some of the roasted character peeks through on occasion but is surely lacking. Nondescript finish, and the beer is thin and watery on the palate to its detriment. Drinkable, but disappointing.
3.1 Pours quite dark brown with a low head. Aroma is roasted malts, well balanced flavor is roasted malts with a hint of caramel. Pretty ordinary dunkel, quite decent.
2.2 pours dark copper, almost brown, with a nice medium-dark beige rind, some retention. aroma are caramel and roasted malts. taste has a cloying caramel finale. big on the carbonation, light body. light to medium grassy hops. overall, talk to the drain.
3.7 500ml green bottle with gold foil. It pours a brownish reddish cola color with a foamy tan head that leaves no lacing. The smell is pretty good, it is caramally with some cocoa, not unlike a English Dark Mild. This one however is infused with a little kiss of noble hops that lend a slight fruitiness. The flavor is surprisingly sweet for the abv. After the initial burst of sweetness it mellows out with a nice bit of bitterness and some dark bread flavors. The sweetness is primarily caramel and cocoa. It is drinkable to a point, it could be sessionable but it is a bit sweet. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-18-2011 19:26:31
3.2 Aroma:light cereal nose...Appearance:Dark cooper,good head..... Flavor:Good caramel flavor,cereal,molasse....
2.0 500 ml green bottle purchased at the Centropolise SAQ (Laval, Quebec), last January 2011. Hazelnut brown, little head. Aroma of very caramelized malt little roasted. Malted barley taste of poor quality, a little sweet, aftertaste of bitter vegetables. It’s written on the label that was once the best beer in the world, hard to believe!
2.1 Bottle. Cola brown body, almost no head. Aroma is lightly malty and sweet. Taste is sweet and caramelly without any bitterness. In fact, they have added saccharin (E954) to it. Why?
Siirappisuudesta huolimatta olut on ohutta. Melkoista lirua.
3.1 Bottled. Dark brown color with nice beige head. Aroma, caramel, coffee. Taste, very sweet, caramel, some spicies.
2.7 30th May 2006 Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Vilnius. Dark lager. A very light one, not a lot of depth here. Dry finish. Okay.
3.0 Bouteille 500ml.
2.8 Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel, light grassy hop, toffee and butterscotch. Flavour follows the nose.
3.1 Bottle @ Papsø-Grand-Tasting, September 2010. Pours dark amber with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is very malty. Chewy. Caramel and toffee. Sweet flavor. Dry bready end. Medium bodied.
2.5 Bottle 500ml. Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, smoke, butter, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, brown sugar. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100911]
2.8 Pours a dark brown with a medium frothy off white head. Aroma is malt, roasted nut and a faint cocoa. Taste is roasty malts and nuts, big malt mouth feel and very sweet.
2.9 Bottle: Poured a clear dark color lager with a rather large foamy head with OK retention and not much lacing. Aroma of nut and roasted malt with sweet malt backbone is singular. Taste is a lot sweeter then expected with loads of nutty notes with some light roasted malt. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. A lot sweeter then expected, maybe tad too much in fact, but drinkable.
2.8 Bottle at Papsø. Clear orange red coloured with a medium sized off-white ehad. Sweet aroma of caramel and butterscostch. Sweet flavour of caramel, berries and butterscotsch with notes of hops. Hoppy finish.
