Samuel Adams Cold Snap (-2019 Spring)

Samuel Adams Cold Snap (-2019 Spring)

Crisp & lively, the hazy smoothness of this unfiltered White Ale is roused by the crackling of spring spices. From a hint of sweetness from orange peel & plum to the peppery bite of fresh ground coriander, the subtle blend of spices creates just the right refreshing kick to signal that spring is on its way. Cheers!

2.5 0,33 l. Can. Yellow color with white head. Malt and yeast aroma. Malt, citrus an light spicy taste
3.0 Only get if on tap
3.4 Purchased from a variety pack at my local Stater Brothers. Then week had on top of a hazy golden body. I kid you not it smells like apricots. It taste like apricots to. It's not a bad beer but I'm a big fan of beers that stick the German Purity law and this one does not. It's not off putting it's not discussing it's just not my cup of beer
3.5 04Apr2019 Belgian yeast, spices, sweet grain malts, dough. Hazy gold, small, creamy, white head. Medium sweet. More bread, caramel, molasses, spices, yeast, brioche, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Actually not too bad. Bottle at American Airlines Flagship Lounge, Jamaica.
2.8 New beer in the Spring 2014 Variety Pack. Pretty much a relabeled, slightly altered version of White Christmas. A cloudy medium yellowish-white appearance. Aroma is kind of sour and off. Flavor is ok and refreshing.....Belgian wheaty with some light spice. Not really a big fan of the white seasonals in this style....same thing with the summer ale.
3.3 Bottle. Poured a tan gold color. Aroma and taste of coriander, orange, light fruits. Nice texture sort of creamy. Light sweetness. Average carbonation.
3.3 Poured from bottle into Tulip L Golden with slight head S Wheat, hops, citrus, a bit floral T Very biscuity, some orange peel F Full-bodied, slightest bit of bitterness on the back end, fairly dry. Overall not a bad beer for the price.
3.5 It’s a fine representation of the style. Much better than a Blue Moon not as good as Allagash White. Pours a burnt orange with a thin khaki head. Smells of winter spices and taste of some bright citrus and sweet malt. Overall it’s a decent brew just not the best in the category.
4.3 Golden and refreshing taste
3.5 liquid bread, creamy, nectar-y, light spice blend
2.8 Poured a hazy pale yellow/orange with faint white head which recedes fast. Faint aroma of coriander. Sweet malt character spiced up a bit by barely detectable traces of clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, grains of paradise. Mind you, none of these things particularly shine through - it's not well put together, more like an unfinished ideation. Not a particularly inspired effort from this Samuel Adams offering. Seems like they were going for a poor man's Hoegarden with the recipe.
3.3 Draft at Moriartys. Foggy orange pour with soft white foam. Subdued witbier with soft spice. Plums. Coriander. Nutmeg. Orange zest. Cloves. Cassia. Vanillin. Blue raspberry cotton candy. Nice balanced bite. Not too extreme.
3.2 Hazy yellow color with a sweet aroma. Taste is a little sweet, a little fruity, a little wheat, with a spicy citrus finish.
3.2 Draft at Pour Taproom. Hazy golden yellow color small white head. Aroma of mixed spice and orange peel. Taste is fruity with light spice. OK
3.3 Malty wheat with tangerine and coriander flavor. Flavorful, but not overdone. I look forward to this beer every year.
2.4 Draft... Pours cloudy and orange with a mid-sized white head. Good retention. The aroma offers lots of wheat and orange peel accompanied by tons of coriander and clove. Full-bodied with airy carbonation. The flavor is a jumble of herbal, spicy and fruity notes - lots of coriander, wheat, orange peel and clove. Some plum and if I didn't know better, I'd say anise too. What's actual spice, fruit juice, fruit zest, phenol and/or ester here? It's difficult to tell. it's a bunch of crap thrown together. No melding, no rhythm. This is also too sweet and kinda soapy in the finish. There's just too much going on here... mostly in a bad way. Whatever happened to good old Boston Lager? It's impossible to find it when dining out. Everything is seasonal and most of these SA seasonals suck. Damn distributors. Bamboo Tiki Bar @ Ocean Manor Resort - Fort Lauderdale, Florida
2.1 Well, that's just a beer actually. But in a country we're there are so many amazing artisanal brews, why would you drive NL this ?
3.6 Nice notes of coriander and other holiday-esque spices. Sweet and hazy and spicy. Pretty good. Unique but nothing special.
3.6 Smell is spicy and wheaty. Clear that it’s a witbier. Taste is crisp, sweeet and spicy. Lots of wheat coming though with a great presence of holiday spice. Taste is sweet and wheaty. Definitely a witbier with good what and spice. Crisp and full palate. Overall, a very nice holiday witbier.
2.5 Bottle @ Sam Adams pub @ Convention Center Boston. Clear golden coloured. Caramel, malty, bit grassy hops.
2.5 From backlog. 0,3 litre Bottle at Hilton Grand Vacations On The Strip, Las Vegas. Cloudy amber with white head. Malts, hops, Wheat, corriander.
3.0 Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of wheat and coriander. Tastes like a typical witbier, coriander and spice make up the palate. One of the few Sam Adams beers that actually stays true to the advertised style. Happily surprised.
5.0 I finally found a American made beer that I can say I love. This is German hefeweizen. Its flavor is hands down delicious and creamy. When I look at it in the light and smell it, I know exactly what I should be testing. Hands down the best Sam Adam's beer ever.
4.5 A-. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with white head. Very similar to blue moon
2.5 Draught at Miami airport Hazy golden. White head. Very light in both aroma and flavour. Some faint citrus.
3.9 Wonderful light taste and body. Spicy. Refreshing. Lightly sweet.
3.0 Just ok
3.5 2014 rating. On tap at Sir John A in Ottawa. Pours a small foamy white head. Has a cloudy golden/yellowish appearance. Dirty lacing. Aromas of citrus hops and light pineapple notes. Huge citrus flavours, quite zesty with some lemony lime notes as well as hints of grapefruit. Sort of a mango like taste in the finish. Refreshing and crisp mouthfeel with a slight, faint warming sensation. Made for summertime patio relaxation.
3.0 Different. Spicy wheat, can prob only drink one.
