3.0 Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a vibrant dark golden color with a large foamy orange white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was cracker, lemon and orange. The flavor was bitter and tart with orange, yeast and cracker. Medium length finish. Medium body.
3.3 Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Pale malts, mild sweetness, faint citric notes, and a relatively clean finish. Pretty good.
3.5 Bottle. Soft mouthfeel. Citrus. Orange blossom. Sweet honey. Malt. Smooth round finish. Somnolent.
2.9 Appearance: Clear medium golden. Thin layer of tiny white bubbles. Nose: Crisp lightly roasted malts, citrus and bits of herbal hops. Taste: Lightly caramel sweet with orange zest, and a little bit of wheat character. Body: lighter with lively carbonation. Parting thoughts: As part of a split Sam Lager twelve, my expectations were low. This beer is pretty darn tasty and would do well in the hotter months. Definitely an option for situations where a decent grocery store is your only option for beer buying.
3.4 bottle from Albertsons. Desperate to try something new, due to an empty beer fridge, I finally turned my attention to those neglected National macro "craft " beers that line the shelves. This one particularly caught my attention as it was a helles lager style I haven't seen much of here in the States since leaving Germany. I came in expecting to hate it and was actually quite surprised, it's crisp and clean, grainy and flavorful, not a perfect helles but damn close to being a decent helles. Much surprised that this output from Sam Adams.
3.4 The name is perfect for this beer. I was surprised how crisp and citrusy it tasted reminding a bit of Summer Shandy. This would be a perfect beer with a light meal especially in the warmer months.
2.9 The only real stinker in this case. A light lager, but it's got some buttered popcorn elements going on, otherwise has potential, with a crisp semi-dry malt profile and light but detectable noble hops and floral notes.
2.9 Clear bubbly light gold, thin white head. Floral nose. Aromas of bread, floral hops, citrus. Sweet with a bitter finish.
3.9 Bottle from variety pack: Great looking beer, Light golden in color, clear and bright with an adequate head and lacing. Aroma is of grassy hops and some orange tartness. Nice fullness of palate for a pils, lively. Orange blossoms blend perfectly with the bready malt for a wonderful flavor experience. Finally, the mild hopping perfectly balances the moderate malt sweetness in the beer. A beer drinking delight.
2.8 Pour is absolutely clear golden with a little fizz and thin head. Citrus hops and a light sweet taste that seems a bit artificial that is expected with the big batch mass production. Body is light and refreshing. Finish lingers but its somehow a bit off.
3.3 bottled, golden color with white foam, nice floral notes in the nose and flavor, some honey and citrus, nice finish
3.3 Gold with a small white head. The aroma has some light toasted malt and some citrus. The flavor adds some mellow floral hops, and has some nice citrus on the end.
2.8 Pour is a clear dark gold with a large white head. Aroma is a decent enough lager malt with some grassy hop. Flavor is a little heavy and syrupy malt with a clean watery finish. The malt is a bit to heavy for the style. Nothing off about the beer it's just that for a style that is made for drinking many in a sitting, you would not want more than one of this.
3.0 Aromas of cut grass and citrus, some biscuit comes out as it warms. Golden body, a few lazy bubbles make their way up to the thin ringed cap. Flavor is like the aroma, grass, citrus and malty biscuit. Flavor is a bit heavier than expected, overall it’s not bad.
2.7 Smells of citrus and hops. Pours a beautiful gold with good lacing and decent head. Flavor is bright and refreshing, with hints of citrus and pine. Aftertaste is a little sweet for my taste
2.9 clear gold color; citrusy aroma; a light lager with juicy, citrusy flavor; this didn't really do it for me
2.9 Meh, biscuit taste, a sweetness lingers on the palate. The orange blossom distracts.
3.2 Bottle. Clear golden. Big cream colored head. Bready and floral with a hint of citrus. Definitely a full beer for the style.
3.0 A golden color with a white head. The aroma is floral with some lemons. The flavor is lemony and slightly sweet with some grassy notes. This style is never amazing so this works in those parameters. Refreshing if it were hot but its like 25 degrees #prematurespringrelease
3.1 Bottle from ABC Store in Las Vegas on 9 October 2017. Straight from the bottle as I walked down the strip. Aroma was a bit sweet and also had some grain in there as well. Traces of zesty orange peel kept popping up through the flavour with each mouthful. Enjoyable and easy to drink.
3.1 bottle. Golden with one finger head. Light bready body, some grain, cracker and mild hops. Seems pretty average for the style.
3.4 Had "House Helles" at the brewery. Not sure if it's the same beer, but I'm thinking it might be. Slight haze, light gold, just a thin head. Pretty full pale malt nose, with a really fruity hop note. That same fruity hop is quite pronounced on the palate, to go along with sweet malts. It's a nice helles, very American and unique but still kind of within the German context.
3.1 12 oz bottle pours golden with a white head. Aroma of grains, floral, caramel and some orange.Taste is caramel, orange and bread
3.4 a nice refreshing helles lager. crisp and very palatable. notes of grain, corn.
3.6 Pours a very clear filtered light golden color. Two fingers or so white foamy pillowy head. Excellent retention, good lacing. Aroma is malty. Honey and caramel. Light orange. Floral hops. Taste follows the nose. Honey, sweet, floral, light orange peel.Mouthfeel is medium light body. Semi wet. Smooth, not bitter. Highly drinkable. A little dank. Overall it's pretty good. I'd probably buy it again. Worth a try. I'd probably recommend it,
2.9 Clear gold with a dense, medium head. Some citrus on the nose. Lightly-carbonated with a thin mouthfeel and a floral, orange pulp finish.
3.6 Bottle: poured a light amber lager with a modest white cap in the flute. Aromas of cereals, bread, some light citrus and pungent floral-herbaceous notes. Light bodied but satisfying, well attenuated. Flavor has a balanced mix of bready malts and herbaceous-citrus tones in the front - lightly bitter but dry-citrus finish. You get light hints of honey at the finish from the malts and the Manderina hops. A very decent judiciously flavored Munich-styled helles - great patio sipping
3.4 12 oz bottle poured. A lighter clear golden pour with a lasting head and plenty of carb. Soft floral aroma, with some subtle malt. Flavor is a mild caramel malt, a light sweetness. Orange, floral. Clean and flavorful. Pleasant lager here.
2.9 Average appearance, semi-malty smell.. not getting too much orange on the taste, just some malt and bread. Neutral beer. Not bad.
3.2 6 pack from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy off-white head but doesn’t stay long. Has a pale golden light amber appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas of barley malts, hay, grainy. Flavours are sweet, light and toasty barley malts, some grainy notes and herbal hints. Dry finish. Medium retention. Average carbonation. Not bad.
