3.6 Bottle:   Another great looking IPA.   Moderate bitterness, smooth, but with very moderate flavors of pink grapefruit and pine resin.   Did I mention smooth?   Has a fairly assertive bitterness level, but its not salivating.   This is one of those that certainly would pair well with a sweeter hopped IPA.   However, as is, it would be considered a solid PNW style IPA.   Clean and bitter, and even a bit chewy.
3.5 Pours a dark rust orange. Has a strong floral hop and light citrus aroma. Taste has a mix of fruity malt, citrus hops, and a lot of grains. Very watered down in flavor. A dry and light bitter aftertaste.
3.6 Amber color with a thin off white head. Aroma is a little pine and grapefruit. Flavor is pleasantly bitter with a dry finish. Just a touch of caramel malt.
3.6 Pours golden brown with a thick tan head. Mild hoppy taste of mild grapefruit (?) that is mild and lingering. Very smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
4.1 Pours a deep gold with a thick head. Lighter tasting than it looks and has a good IPA bite. A bit of a pine/grapefruit aftertaste but not bad. It's nice to taste how they mix hops to build an IPA, a single hop isn't the best for results
3.8 Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a nice amber color with a massive off-white amber tinged head. The head has fantastic retention and last a very long time, with it eventually fading leaving a wonderful level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a sweeter smell with a good deal of tangerine, mango, and pineapple along with a moderate showing of herbal and floral aromas. Some pine and grapefruit hop smells are there as well and mix with some bready and caramel aromas to produce a rather pleasantly sweet, and malty smell overall. Taste – The taste begins with strong showing of a bready and caramel flavor mixed with a decent sum of a tropical fruit sweetness. Along with the sweet and malty are some flavors of a pine and grapefruit hop upfront. Some herbal and grassy hop flavors join the taste profile as the taste advances with the grapefruit fading a bit but the pine growing slightly stronger in nature. While the sweetness is mainly of a caramel nature upfront, some of the tropical fruits grow even stronger on the tongue with them surpassing the caramel. The newly arriving flavors, with the sweeter and hop flavors of the brew that were present upfront, end up leaving a rather decently hop blended and moderately malty and sweet smoother flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body is just above average in thickness for a brew of only 6 % abv. with the carbonation level that is rather average. The medium body and higher carbonation are quite fitting for the blend of hop, sweet and matiness of the brew and create a rather easy drinking feel overall. Overall – This is a nice brew overall with a big malt and sweet profile, but yet balanced by a diverse hop taste profile, even though it is only singly hopped. Almost as good as the original latitude 48 and certainly an interesting try.
4.3 very nice ipa with good powerful flavor of pinecone a bit of fruity sweetness and the flavor lingers niceley. good moderate body, nice and aromatic it’s about as good as you get for a hop head. balanced.refreshing and satisfying. some burnt orange in the glass to look at.
3.7 Bottle. Pours clear amber with some off white head and decent lacing. Nose is surprisingly sweet with some pine. Grapefruit comes through in the taste. Lasting bitterness in the backend. Not my favorite of the series.
2.7 Mildy hoppy aroma, pours a golden color with a transient head. Chalky taste with a dry mouth, and a mineral finish.
3.1 Poured from a bottle. Clear golden color, medium white head. Mild hops nose. Medium body with a medium finish.
3.6 Poured from a bottle. Medium red clear. Not much head but good lacing. Flowery aroma, better than the others. Delicious taste, not bitter at all.
3.3 clear amber color with a thin off white head that leave some lacing. aroma is citrus and pine. Flavor is citrus, pine, and sweet malts.
3.9 Bottle, from Deconstructed 12 pack. Pours a deep clear copper color with a thin off white head. Good sheets of lacing. Aromas of tropical fruits and pine. Taste is some serious grapefruit bitterness. There’s the sweet malt that’s in this series, but it is really no match for the Simcoe hop punch. Medium body with an intense bitterness and dry finish. My fave of the pack.
4.2 Arguably the best of the Samuel Adams Deconstructed series. Deep hops. Sweet with a slight bitter after taste. This entry holds its own against the best IPAs.
3.5 Pours light copper with a small white wisp. Aroma is pine and grapefruit hops with the same caramel sweetness from the malt. Taste is the best finish of the single hop beers with grapefruit and pine hops. Fun series.
3.1 Slightly hazy copper color with a thin pale head. Plenty of lacing. This one is all grapefruit. Very faint pine on the finish. Moderately hoppy, but no malt to be found. A bit one sided for my taste.
3.5 Latitude 48 IPA mixed case, second bottle-- Pours a orange color with a small, white color head. Aroma is of soft citrusy fruit. The taste is tropical fruit and bold citrus with a bitter finish and a decent lip smack. Total wine.
4.2 Pours deep copper with a small white head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, lemon. Taste is grapefruit, lemon, sweet and green apple. Palate is resin and bitter. My favorite of this series.
4.0 Really grapefruity with powerful bitterness. Mid notes of pine, medium resin. Some thinness to the hop profile, probably because it’s single hop. Not getting cattiness unless I try to convince myself of it. Caramel malt balances nicely in east coast style, but not as sweet as DFH. Great aroma. Clear golden orange appearance typical of the series with nice white head and lace.
3.5 Bottle. Pours a dark gold-amber with orange highlights. High, lacy, large-grained head. Nose is big, with resinous and lime/grapefruit notes. Aggressive hops presence on the front of the tongue, but remains balanced throughout the mouth; butterscotch malt keeps the lime and rosemary notes in check. Good, basic IPA with a long, dry finish.
3.6 Bottle. This is a solid IPA. It is very well balanced. It has a nice hop flavor.
3.0 Orange-gold pour, big foamy head. Nice aroma of citrus, earth. Flavor is pine, citrus, very bitter, quite thin. Disappointing.
4.1 Bottle to English pint glass. Pours clear deep amber, 1 1/2 finger head, soapy lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, mango and lemon peel. Taste is wonderful pine/citrus bitter, some caramel malt sweetness for balance. Medium body, resin mouth feel, medium carbonation. Finishes bitter and sweet with notes of grapefruit, lemon, spruce and caramel, bitterness lingers nicely. Absolutely fantastic.
3.6 Bottle. Orange pour with a smaller head. Mango and some resin in here. A touch dank. Very nice.
3.8 Bottle from wegmans. Pours clear copper with a medium sized white head that has solid Retention. The aroma has pineapple, mango, a touch of pine. The taste has an intense bitterness, a balance of grapefruit, really assertive and the best of the series so far. Zeus remains.
4.0 12 oz. bottle. Nice orangish amber pour, clear with a white lacy head. Aroma is big on the pine and grapefruit with sweet orange. Taste is earthy bitterness up front followed by a sweet citrusy malty body. This then gives way to an escalating bitterness with grapefruit and resin notes. Mellows after a few seconds to a lingering mild bitter and citrus aftertaste. A great way to showcase this hop, I'm a big fan of the Weyerbacher Double Simcoe and this one is like its little brother. Nice stuff.
2.6 Bottle from mix pack. Pours clear; amber in color. Aroma is floral, pine, caramel. Flavor is lemon-lime hops overwhelmed by cereal malts. Too thick and syrupy for my taste.
3.5 Bottle #5 in the 12 pack. Pours out a clear light amber. Wonderful aromas and flavors. Pine and grapefruit notes. Body is on the lighter side. Lingering bitter finish. Simcoe is a great hop for IPAs!
3.8 12 oz bottle. Pours amber with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of citrusy hops, orange marmalade and caramel malt. Body is medium and tangy. Citrusy hops, caramel malt and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long, dry, and grapefruity. Very nice IPA.
3.7 12oz bottle from a Wegman’s in Buffalo, NY. - No 4 in the series of single-hopped versions of Latitude 48. Golden amber with a thin cream head; the expected piney aroma with a touch of citrus; big grapefruit taste; and a pleasant blanced finish with some spice to counter the bitterness of the grapefruit peel. Another good single hop IPA.
