Samuel Smiths Organic Apricot Fruit Beer
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Lätt dimmig ljusgul med fint vitt skum. Doftar fruktigt och sött, citrus, ananas och aprikos. Smaken fyllig, söt, ananas, aprikos, lite jordgubb. Eftersmaken lång och söt, aprikos, mango och ananas. Något metallisk på slutet. Sötare än Lambic i smak, men doften i stort sett samma.
Gulbrun klar med hvitt skum. Lukter tydelig aprikos. Søt fruktig smak av tørket aprikos. Kort.
Golden color, small white head. Aromas of apricot, citrus and bread. Taste of apricot, apple cider and slight citrus.
Apricot marmalade aroma. Similar taste. Sweet. Fruity, but more in a candy like way than ale.
355ml glass bottle from Beers of Europe. Dated as best before March 2022, as long life for a 5.1% beer. Served fridge cold into a tumbler.
A nice dark golden colour in pour. Some city-snow white bubbles rushing to trying and form a head, no luck. Medium-high levels of carbonation.
On the nose the beer smells predominantly like apricot. Fresh and liquor. Yogurt, light lemon. Slightly floral notes.
Tasty in the mouth sweet slightly tart apricot. Weak lemonade flavour and presence with the carbonation. Varying flavour profiles work well together. Almost reminds me of s a shandy, but with added apricot flavour.
Creamy yet dry in the mouth. A medium lived apricot sweetness with slight tart notes in a low dosage on the palate.
Overall, a tasty drink. If you like apricots you’ll probably love it.

355 ml bottle. Unclear dark honey golden, small foamy head. Apricot syrup, apricot liquor, maple syrup, lemon. Dry sourness, fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry sweet finish. Very unusual.
Bottle from Systembolaget Rotebro. Golden with a medium white head. Sweet with apricot and some notes of apples. No bitterness.

Fruktig och söt med en hel del aprikos och parfym, medelfyllig kropp och en oljig konsistens.
Avslutningen är söt.
Bottle from Systembolaget. Aroma is very clearly apricot. Apperance is like a deep lager colour with a medium to strong fizz. Taste is beautiful - full of apricot, you can really taste the apricot juice, almost too much even as it is incredibly sweet. Slightly off metallic / bottley ending however that really takes away from this being a quality quality beer....I had to return to this rating as the beer just became progressivly sickly. It is creamy for sure but sickly sweet.

What is this... beer?! Apricots everywhere...aroma as well in taste. Nice golden color, nice head... quite too much carbonation too me.

Very nice floral apricot flavor. Great fruit beer.
Nice golden in colour. Smell is marmalade orange. Taste is sweet marmalade orange. Quite sweet but nice drink.
Actually smells like a fresh apricot. Golden color with an off white head. A little sweet like marmalade with a spritzer-like finish. Very good.
355ml bottle. Amber colour with white head. Big sweet apricot, malty, sweet wheaty, sweet apricot jam, floral, light honey, light citrus, light tartness, light white sugar, light bitterness. Not super complex but v refreshing + drinkable, lots of sweet apricot but not in an artificial way, nice

Golden, cloudy with a medium white head. Aroma of apricot and some honey sense. Light bitter with a apricot Finnish.

Gold pour with lace. Wonderful sweet flavor of apricot. The palate is apricot with dry finish. Very delicious.
Pronounced apricot nose. Cloudy orange, thick head, good lace. Tangy apricot. Medium body, easy carbonation. Pretty darn good for a fruit beer.

Color amarillo corona de espuma escasa, aromas melocoton intensos, notas especiadas, sabor fruta, artificial, cuerpo medio.
550 ml bottle from World Market. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Fresh apricot nose - somewhat sweet, very natural. Flavor is sweet apricot - all natural, but quite sweet (but with a bitter tinge in the end). Might be better in a smaller bottle, but this is pretty tasty.
A beautiful beer. Really fruity. Wasn’t expecting it after the aroma. No hint of the wonderful unexpected taste. Not as strong as the alcohol content suggests. Would be fabulous with a barbecue I would imagine.
