4.4 deep dark brown colour, half inch of creamy beige head; aroma of whipped cream, chocolate mousse, milk chocolate and vanilla; taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with some cappuccino notes; probably the best stout I've ever tasted
3.4 Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is powdery cocoa with some roast, chocolate, touch of caramel. Fairly sweet, light bitter. Medium body. Nice solid basic Choco Stout.
Excelente stout.
4.1 Perfect light stout full of flavour ❤️
3.3 BBF November 2023 It's good one for chocolate stout, medium body, clean, no bitter at all that's very easy for drinking. Tasting is cola, cocoa, sweet from cane sugar and taste look like chocolate milk, some of malty and hops but very low to medium, medium to high carbonate if you compare with others stout. Good one but not so notable.
4.3 Great chocolate deep rich Porter malty back notes good carbonation a class beer
4.0 (Bottle) Pours black with good dense tan head. Lovely aroma of chocolate with notes of roast grains. Excellent mouthfeel - smooth soft. Excellent taste too. Plenty of chocolate, specifically milk chocolate. Quite sweet with some notes of dark roast grain bitterness. Very enjoyable.
3.5 12 ounce bottle at The Winking Lizard in Copley, Smell the chocolate and malt. Brown in color with tan head. Taste chocolate and malt and a very nice sweetness. Light bodied. Chocolate and sweet aftertaste. Just an awesome beer. Cheers!
3.2 355ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a tall beige head. Aroma is cocoa powder, faintly roasted. Taste is medium sweet, cocoa, vanilla. Light bitter finish.
Aroma a vainilla principalmente, después a caramelo, café y chocolate.
3.4 Bottle from Beautiful Beers. Pours dark chestnut with tan lacing. Aroma is cocoa powder and drinking chocolate. Taste is sweet like milk chocolate and while there is a transition to light bitterness, the stout elements are drowned in cocoa rather than enhanced. Surprised it has escaped me thus far. Given the muttering of others about syrup and artificiality, the bottle insists that it's organic chocolate malt and cacao extract. Have it with your dessert.
L21120. BB 2023/04.
3.7 Snow storm and power has been out for over 4 hours, so what the hell. Bottle from Wegmans. First, can’t believe I haven’t rated this… pours black with a beige to tan head. Chocolate, cocoa, light floral notes in the nose. Smooth chocolate, floral hops, light citrus and other fruit. Very nice.
4.0 Pours almost black and forms a substantial beige head. The head fades fairly quickly. Flavor has chocolate base. The coffee flavor of a traditional Imperial Stout is not there. This beer is a good complement to many meals.
4.3 Toffee, coca and smooth. Nice.
3.5 Bottle. Pours dark brown color, beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla. Taste is medium, lightly bitter, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt.
3.6 Black pour with an off white head and lots of lacing ….. aroma of dry bitter cocoa, milk chocolate, roasted malts and toffee …… taste is of toffee, dry cocoa, sweet milk chocolate and roasted malts …. Dry backbone with a light bitterness with a good amount of sugar …. Finish is of sweet chocolate, dry bitter cocoa and toffee …. Body is medium …. Mouthfeel is a little slick and oily ….. nice easy drinking stout, tad too sugary sweet though… was hoping for more balance.
2.7 Pours almost completely black, with a couple of fingers of a very dense light greyish/yellowish head. Good enough retention and some lacing. Aroma is quite strong but very much one dimensional: soft milk chocolate, with slight coffee notes in the background. Taste is one dimensional just as the smell suggested, plus the dominant chocolate note feels quite artificial. There's a soft sugary base, strong milk chocolate notes (low quality milk chocolate bar like) and not much else. Overall very sweet in both taste and aftertaste, with a slight (off-path) acidic note. Light to medium body, light, small-bubbled carbonation, resulting in a very soft/smooth mouthfeel, especially for the low abv. Pleasant enough mouthfeel, but feeling not very natural. Low quality, semi-fake.
4.2 Light filtered stout with nice smooth taste. It definitely smells and tastes like hot chocolate! But not hot… And not chocolate… But still :) OG 15,5 %.
3.4 Bottle. Darkest brown, tan/brown cream. English/american chocolate notes, light herbal, medium body, sugary sweet, artificial chocolate, some bready roast, fondant, british earthy leafy hop backstop. Quite drinkable, but I feel like the lightly artificial chocolate notes are draped on top of a decent beer.
3.8 Cocoa nibs, cocoa powder and vanilla, chocolate, pitch black, vanillary chocolate, sweet, some roast, milky, silk and smooth, creamy, flat.
3.8 Caramel beige color lasting milkshake quality head. Rich lacing. Opaque pour dark malt liquid chocolate aroma, inviting a quick taste. Black brown cocoa taste at the same time milk chocolate flavor - as sweet as it is Not bitter. Easy mouthfeel, different for a beer. Finish yields the sensation of having eaten a chocolate bar.
3.4 0.355 l bottle at Valhalla Beer Store. Dark brown, lasting beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate, sugary cocoa drink, roasty, candy. Roasty flavour, oversweet, chocolate. Smooth, gentle, light body, tasty, light finish.
2.9 Ren chokolade
2.5 Tasted like a chocolate Easter rabbit. So sweet. I wanted to like this, if just for the nostalgia of the old days when Sam Smiths Nut Brown Ale was the absolute top shelf at the supermarket when it came to beer. Not this one though. Like drinking your dessert. nI get it, it's chocolate. Says so right on the bottle. Just too much for me.
3.9 cocoa, milk aroma, taste is pure liquid cocoa, nice head and colour, bit too simple, one dimensional, would like some more complex flavour profile and more full body but all together very drinkable
3.4 355 ml bottle. Pours black color with beige head. Chocolate aroma and milk chocolate. Taste sweet and all chocolate flavours with a little bit of roasty bitterness on the finish.
3.7 Bottle from an online shop, drunk while it's snowing outside in March. Dark black with a big tan head, looks very inviting. The nose is Belgian milk chocolate ice cream! Huge. Very chocolatey flavor. Leads with a hint of sweetness but smoothly pivots to roasted malt and mild hop bitterness. A bit on the sweet side overall but pretty balanced.
