Scura (nera) schiuma beige, persistente, poco amara, liquorosa a naso, corpo medio leggero, caffè tostato,
35,5cl fles. Zwart bier met crème kleurig schuim. Geur: wat geroosterde mout, iets zoetig, wat karamel, hint van gedroogd fruit. Smaak: wat geroosterde mout, ietwat zoetig met ook een klein bittertje, terug een hint van gedroogd fruit. Matige koolzuurprikkel.
Mørk i glasset, tykt cacaoskum. Lugter røget og smager også af det - uden at være ubehageligt.

nicely crafted porter. nothing extraordinary or a particular flavour that stands out. by simply beautiful blended to make a decent classic stout.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Pours black with small beige head, nice retention and lacing. Aroma of light roasted malts, cola, chocolate, blackcurrants. Taste is malty with roast notes more evident in the flavour and flowing through to the finish. Blackcurrant fruit and tangy notes, chocolate as well a certain graininess in the background. A sweetness balances it. Just shy of medium bodied but ok for 5% and still has a slickness to it. Tasty.
Pour from 550ml bottle. Dark brew with generous tan head, great head retention and fantastic lacing. Aroma is roasted grain, chocolate. taste is mildly sweet up front, blend of chocolate and roasted grains, Tastes shift to more roasted grain notes and finishes dry. Very smooth mouthfeel. A paragon of porters.

Schöne Optik, malzig in Nase und Trunk. Dazu röstig, leicht rauchig, sehr gehaltvoll, passt.
Aroma : Intense roasty chocolate maltiness, hint of sweet caramel & figs, with a light burnt wood ash & earthy note. Taste : Classic medium porter body. Intense bitterness up front, that gives way to a softer roasty bitter chocolate maltiness throughout. Dryish finish. A classic; excellent!
Bottle. Black with beautiful tan head. Aroma of raisins and other estery fruits, heavily roasted malts and floral hops. The flavours lead more towards chocolate and roasted notes to begin, finishing with estery elements. Must be said it’s been sitting in my cellar for a while, well past it’s best.

0,355 l bottle. Pours almost black with big, lasting tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, dried fruit, roasted malt. Taste is low sweet and pleasantly bitter. Mouthfeel is oily. Finish so medium long, bitter chocolate and coffee, lasting moderate and slightly spicy bitterness. Nice.

Malty sour mildly astringent, slightly molasses
Flaska. Mörkt brunfärgad med ett beige skum. Dofter av choklad, rostad malt och trä. Smakinslag av choklad, röda bär, mörkt socker, rostad malt och sötlakrits. Liten beska, desto större sötma.
A: Dark brown to black. Medium creamy beige head.
A: quite fruity, figs, dried fruit, dried red fruit, some cocoa, roasty, also metallic, nutty, sugary, quite rich, although not all that pleasant.
T: cardboard, metallic, roasty, nutty, some chocolate. Opens up towards malty, caramel, toffee and honey. Not too sweet.
P: quite smooth, light, quite thin, light to moderate finish.
O: nice old school porter.

355 mL bottle. Pours black with a medium khaki head. Smells of roasted malt, chocolate, something like lactose, but not quite. Tastes lightly lactic up front, probably what I was smelling. Bitter chocolate, roasted malt, faint sweetness. Medium light. Fascinating incorporation of a very subtle amount of lactic acidity. I don't think I love it, but it's not something I think I've had in such a controlled manner.
Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark malty smell, roasted. Similar taste. Allot of flavour for such a low abv beer. Strong carbonation. Got better after it evaporated. Nice.
Bottle from Systembolaget. Quite complex dark nutty arona. Lovely appearance with a lasting head. I found the taste ratger boring to be honest and didn't get the hype. Maybe it's the lovely bottle snd tradition.
Makalöst fruktig arom med russin, melass och lite citrus. Inte lika kraftfull smak som doft. Oväntat metallisk smak, med rostad malt och svag bäska som håller i sig långt in i eftersmaken. Totalt sett väldigt bra.
