San Miguel

BEFORE RATING, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TEXT

If you’ve had San Miguel in Europe after 2010, you liklely had the 5% version brewed under licence by Carlsberg in the UK. Put your rating at San Miguel (Europe)

If you’ve had San Miguel in Europe before 2010 it is likely you had a version ranging from 4.5% to 5% - most likely 4.8% - brewed in Spain. Put your rating at San Miguel (Spain)

If you had San Miguel outside Europe, you most likely had a version brewed in the Philippines or Hong Kong. Either this one, the one termed San Miguel Pale Pilsen, or the one termed San Miguel Premium All-Malt. It is possible that they are all the same beer, but with different names, but at this point we don’t know for sure.

1.4 Pite wielokrotnie podczas ostatniego wyjazdu ma Majorkę. Za wiele nie ma o czym tu pisać. Smak wody + przeszkadzająca ziołowo-krzaczkowa goryczka. Wypicie więcej niż jednego to osiągnięcie.
1.9 Full, lacks flavour, aroma, dryness and body. Pale gold, limited head, fizzy and not very nice.
1.3 Duft trist kedelig duft nejs og vådt korn, lime citrus svag lime blade boder malt sød eftersmag
1.6 Backlog, ocena wystawiona na podstawie wspomnień z degustacji oraz przepisana z profilu na Untappd. Bardzo słabe piwo
3.3 Beautiful gold color with a creamy head. Aroma grainy, yeasty, touch of corn. Taste clean and refreshing, with a definite corn note. Good simple beer
2.0 Not to be confused with the Philippines San Mig.
1.1 WARKA: 10/10/2018. AROMAT: Skunks, slodowe, DMS. Ciezko doszukac sie czegos jeszcze. WYGLAD: Piana zerowa, opadajaca bardzo szybko, nie zdobiaca szkla. Barwa jasnozlota. Klarowne. SMAK: Skunks z polaczeniem slodu. ODCZUCIE W USTACH: Cialo niskie. Goryczka zerowa. Wysycenie niskie do sredniego. OGÓLNE WRAZENIE: Masakra. Myslalem, ze nie da sie tak nisko upasc.
3.0 From old tasting notes. Clear pale yellow gold color with lots of small bubbles and a slightly small white head. Sour malt aroma. Foretaste is fresh and malty with a wisp of hop flavor. Dry hop middle. Light crisp hop finish. Brief aftertaste. Very quaffable.
5.0 The San Miguel from the Philippines is by far the best! The colour of the beer is great and the flavour is very satisfying!!!
2.5 Uzupełnienie profilu, archaiczna ocena sprzed czasów założenia konta na ratebeer.
1.4 Bottle with the label ’produced’ and ’bottled in the Phillipines’ as well as the import tag. 5%ABV. Purchased at an Asia shop in Frankfurt, Germany. Pours clear gold with a white head that soon fades. Aroma is vaguely of sulfuric, kind of gunpowdery, with a motley assortment of other things thrown in: grass, plastic, fresh glue. Taste is mildy sweet with a rough alcohol undertone that, while subtle, remains noticeable. Body is light. Palate is a bit watery, which is probably a good thing with this mess. Overall this fails my ’do no evil’ test. It’s not just uninspired and poorly put together, but actively unpleasant to drink. Never again.
2.2 Bottle at a Filipino restaurant in St Louis. Clear pale gold. Aroma is stale, dusty, honey malt. Taste is light, watery, stale. Dull pils.
1.0 Bottle from Liquor Barn. Aroma and taste of a cheap macro lager. I’d rather drink a Blue Light if that’s what I’m looking for.
2.7 Green grape, corn, and sorghum nose. Subdued flavor. The sorghum comes through most prominently. Corn and light tart fruit are noted as well.
0.5 Appearance Pale yellow, minimal white head Aroma Grass, brass, skunk, cooked vegetables, cereals Taste Mildly sweet, weird astringent bitterness Palate Watery, average carbonation
2.6 Вкусное и не дорогое пиво. Но совершенно без алкоголя. Можно пить с утра до ночи
1.2 Aroma: Cereal and hay notes. Appearance: Light golden color wiht clear sparkling liquid and minimal white head. Taste: Medium bitterness and medium sour notes. Palate: Light body with thin texture and average carbonation. Abrupt astringent and bitter finish. Overall: Watery. Summer beer but it doesn’t leave a memory.
2.6 Pours clear straw colour, with a very thin head. Aroma has notes of cereal, biscuit, and straw. Tasting notes include sweet cereals, and light biscuit. Mouth feel is watery, and palate is very bland.
1.1 Bottle. Clear pale blond. Small head. Aroma is earthy, cheap hops and toilet. Not much of a taste profile. Strong carbonation. Thin, watery and meaningless. Drinkable when served cold but what’s the point?
0.8 butelka chyba 330ml. Uzupełniam swój profil na ratebeer, piwo wypite jakiś czas temu.
1.9 Tastes of nothing. At least it’s not as gassy as some crappy lagers but there’s really very little else going for it.
3.1 Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Columbia, SC. The appearance is a clear, bright yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is mostly grass/grain. The taste is your basic american adjunct lager )corn, grain and grass) . I prefer this in the painted bottle on a hot day in the Philipines than as an import to the States.
1.6 33 cl can from Systembolaget. Clear golden with a medium white head. Moderate malty aroma of bread, hay, light syrup and lageryeast. Taste reflects the aroma. Light bodied, with a semi-dry texture. Average carbonation. Low bitterness.
1.3 DATE: September 1, 2016... OCCASION: detoxing after an intense first four days of school as a second-year supervisor... GLASSWARE: Penn State pilsner... crispy, corny, funky, gassy aroma--not the way to ease into anything... the beer pours a clear pale golden body that offers energetic bubbles upward... the head is really impressive for a beer of this expected quality: thick, arching lacing sits atop a creamy, cavernously spidering web of snow-white head... back to the aroma, some grass elements suggest a light, soft hops... almost off-putting, the type of beer that one wishes would go quietly... this malty offering pounds the throat with sizzle and fizzle, oddly warm and abrasive... medium-bodied, but nothing going on up front.... slightly sweet, more syrupy and slightly carbonated.... a metallic awkwardness impounds the taste buds... this was part of a gift mix six from Judi, so I can never look a gift beer in the mouth...but wow, this lays eggs across the globe... the only cool thing about this is that i now drank a beer from the Philippines...
2.6 Tap. Clear golden colour with small head off. Aroma of grain, something chemical. Taste of malst, bread, watery body, almost no bitterness.
3.0 Gras-, Malz- und Getreidenoten. Die Intensive Carbonisierung bringt erfrischenden Geschmack. Im Nachgeschmack etwas klebrig.
3.1 grass, spruce, barnyard, cheese, golden, clear, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, long finish,
1.8 Bottle 0,33. Dark yellow color. Weak, malty aroma. Bitter taste, more like pilsner.
2.2 Originally rated on 8/1/08. Pours a medium yellow body, good carbonation gives a decent white head, and a little bite. The aroma of corn and straw. Taste of grain, its a little sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Not a bad beer, but glad i got a single instead of the six pack.
1.5 33can in Thailand. Medium white. Clear pale golden pour. Bland and boring. Glad I only have to drink it once
