3.9bottle shared with todd, at club w.. pitch black pour with thin brown head, aroma and taste of sweet chocolate, this stuff is delish!
3.8Good chocolate taste with a very creamy mouthfeel. Slight roasty taste, but not overpowering.
3.8This is a really smooth stout. Hints of chocolate and nuts. Smooth finish. Great beer.
3.6Black brown pour. Nose of roasted malt and coffee with brown sugat and grain. Flavor ia roasted malt, bittet cocoa powder, coffee, and faint black olive. Lingering bitter cocoa and coffee.
3.6Number 300 rated for the year....nice mellow sweet stout ..full of chocolate malt and caramel and of course oats....very tasty beer and only a buck.....yum!
3.7Black pour with white head from 12oz bottle at home. Roasty oatmeal and cocoa. aroma. Has a very sweet milky chocolate taste. Bread and malts, but really sweet. Nutty as well. Pretty good.
3.7Bottle. Aroma of chocolate and oats. Taste is sweet with no bitterness of roast or dark chocolate.
3.312 oz. bottle, consumed on 9-29-14. Pleasant, simple aroma features scents of chocolate and brown sugar. Pours a dark brown with an amber hue. A small amount of beige head produced by the initial pour. A large amount of short-lasting beige head in the second pour. Basic appearance. Nice taste features flavors of char, dark chocolate, oatmeal, lemon, and coffee. Light to medium body. Somewhat lively and frothy in the palate. Ordinary palate effects. Overall, this is a decent and reasonably enjoyable beer, but it does not stand out in any way.
3.0Pours dark black with small brown head and not much lacing. Aroma is a little chocolate , oatmeal, roast and slight coffee. Really not that good.
3.112oz bottle, picked up from Brennan’s in Madison, Wisconsin during my stay for GTMW. Very dark brown red color. Thin ta head, that fizzes away to a thin ring. Few loose dots of lace. Good dark chocolate, oatmeal flavors. Some sweet chocolate syrup. Medium body. Kind of slick texture. Nice chewiness, and full feel for a 4.5% stout. Lighter, kind of soft carbonation. Moderate sweet taste, nice light to moderate bitter balance to it as well. Not too sweet for me, as this style can often be. Maybe the lighter gravity helps with that.
3.1Dark brown pour. Thin quick head.
Aroma is decent roasted malt, coffee, bakers and dark chocolate.
Flavour is lightly astringent burnt malt husk, bakers chocolate. Coffee.
4.0Pours a nice dark brown with tan head. Cocoa, roasted malt, caramel, and some oats on the nose; follows onto the palate. Very chewy stout. Delicious!
3.9Aroma of sweet chocolate, vanilla. Nice ebony black with a lighter tan head. Rich sweet roasted malt explodes nicely up front. Then chocolate, roasted coffee and vanilla flavors come through. Finishes with a nice hint of bitterness. Strong showing.
3.9Wasn't expecting much from this, as it came in a variety pack with various craft beers, and the others were not very good. But it was a very solid oatmeal stout. I'd definitely buy/order it in the future.

3.5Twelve ounce bottle from a Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club. Almost opaque brown hue, medium tan head, zesty aroma of malt, chocolate, coffee and some oats in there, initial mouthfeel of too much carbonation followed by a sugery sweetness, then some prominent chocolate and coffee flavor that’s more like what the aroma promised. Rather nice brew.
3.7This pours a dark brown color with a slight brown, carbonated head. The aroma is filled with cocoa and oats. The taste is a little thinner than I would have thought. It has a sweet oat flavor yet it is not super heavy in flavor. Decent body and very drinkable but I also think a little over-rated as well.
3.412oz bottle. Oily black pour with a loose brown head. Burnt espresso aroma with a little woodiness. The flavor is stale burnt espresso with a lingering bitterness. Very dry body with a medium mouth feel and soft carbonation.
3.5pours black with a persistent brown head. aroma is malty chocolate, hint of coffee. taste is full with a hint of coffee. pleasant linger. not normally my style, but I like it. Good beer!
3.312oz bottle, Ridgeview Liquors Green Bay/WI. Pours a generic filter coffee black with big-pored cola foam. Not much in the way of aroma but the precursor of roast, contained by chalky watery body. Surprisingly light-bodied for an oatmeal stout, enhancing the overbearing cold filter coffee dimension of the taste, some cocoa powder and "traces of nuts" and caramel. Almost a dry stout.
3.412 oz. bottle from friend’s beer refrig., poured to a shaker showing some ruby highlighting as it entered the glass, but mainly a black/brown hue, with a modest layer of brownish tan foam, and spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was roasty, mainly coffee with some chocolate backing. Medium bodied, with low carbonation, and some decent malt to balance the low hop bitterness. Somewhat dry finishing with some woody & dusty hints. Not bad. Went down easy, and was nicely food compatible.
2.8Too much citrus for an oatmeal stout. Needs more chocolate. Lacks the velvety mouth feel of an oatmeal stout. Received in my beer of the month. Not very memorable.
3.1Pours clean with small head. Almost no aroma. Taste is chocolate and coffee but has a hint of something else I can’t quite identify - kind of reminds me of lunchmeat.
3.9A very smooth oatmeal stout with a very easy to drink palate and smooth finish. The body needs to be a little more robust and the character a little more emphatic. While it is smooth and drinkable, the chocolate flavor is minimal and unannounced. Overall a nice beer.
3.4On tap in Hudson WI while at a Christmas party. Good stout that has a lot of complexity.
3.5Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, earthy and roast. Taste is sweet with roasty bitters. Medium bodied with a slick and creamy mouth feel.
3.612 ounce bottle. Pours almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Taste is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and smoke. Smooth and easy to drink.
3.8Great rich head and dark chocolate appearance. Richly sweet on the nose, but a bit too clean on he palate, with a beautiful taste that just doesn't linger quite long enough. Plenty of roasted oats to satisfy, but just not enough depth.
3.8Pours black with 2 finger cinnamon colored head that lingers a bit. Nice nose of some coffee and roasted malt. This is a pretty easy drinking stout. Some chocolate and earthy flavor, but lacks any strong hops. Very good, but a bit of bite on the finish would make this great.
3.3Pours black with a big and foamy, although short lived, light tan head. Rather potent aroma that has earthy malts, chocolate, lots of licorice, and a bit of coffee. The taste is dominated by chocolate, with undertones of licorice. The aftertaste lingers for awhile and is the same as the taste. Light in body with a thin and creamy texture. Carbonation is more soft. I like most everything that is offered here. But it is very light and there isn’t a whole lot here to really make it settle like a full beer. I really feel like it is missing the necessary punch that I’m looking for in something like this.
4.0Pours nearly black with a puffy, dark head.
Aroma is smoky, roast chocolate/coffee...
Flavour is milk chocolate, roast.
Slightly smoky malt.
Creamy, smooth...very nice.
