2.6 Pale golden color, small white head. Aroma of malt, grain, grassy hops. Dry lightly sweet taste with medium bitterness in finish and aftertaste. Drinkable pale lager.
3.0 0,35l can brought by wiosna from Japan, shared @ home. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is clean malts. Flavor is slightly sweet clean malts with some hops in the finish. Pretty good basic lager.
4.6 Yebisu Premium has a thick, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, with some glass lacing. The aroma is of rich barley and grass, and the flavor is similar, along with some fairly strong hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Yebisu Premium finishes crisp. RJT
4.5 Rich, Rich, Rich. One of My favorite.
2.9 Draft at Sapporo Bier Garten, Sapporo, Japan. Pours perfectly crisp, classic lager gold, with moderate white foam. Aroma is grainy, a little grassy, maybe lemongrass. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet, with a little tail of bitterness. Finish is regular.
2.9 At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly head, clear intense yellow color, light malty aroma with just as hint of honey., biscuity fruity aroma wit ha medium herbal bitterness, light sweetness, quite crisp. Fair and drinkable.
2.6 Can at a tasting, thanks Yoav. Aroma is grainy and floral, a bit vegetal, Grainy, sweetish malt, herbal bitterness, earthy with dry finish. Quite drinkable. Not bad.
2.5 Prilično ok pivo, malo rijetko i presvijetlo, ali skroz ok.
3.7 5%ABV. Czech Pils. Poured out yello. 6ºSRM. Nose is beery and malty. Mouthfeel is beery and carbonated. Palate has pale malt with crackers and wheat toast. There is a bit of flour and dough in the palate as well suggesting wheat malt. Hop flavors are pronounced and come in a the end with a woody, noble hop bitter, almost sappy with a strong hit of fresh grass. Finish is brief-medium with a woody sappy bitter. Overall a pretty refreshing, hop-forward Czech pils styled beer.
2.4 Draught Yebisu Bar Tokyo. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, toast, a bit of hops, malts and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, malts, toast, grass and a bit of hops. Basic bulk lager.
2.3 350ml Can from Family Mart, Hanzomon, Tokyo (¥242): A very basic & cheap tasting lager that didn't have a whole lot going on really, I can now see why this is one of the Japanese lagers that never seems to make it as far as the UK. It was an easy enough beer to drink, mainly down to the fact that it was light & bland for the most part, it was however relatively skunk free expect for at the very end of the taste but it's not really one that I'd recommend.
3.6 From old tasting notes. Pale yellow gold color. Tart, crisp malt flavor hints at lemon peel and yeast. Nice dry hop finish. Good balance. Refreshing flavor.
2.0 Can. Light golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, faint - light vegetable/herbal hoppyness, light metal. Body is light, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint - light vegetable/herbal hoppyness, faint metal. Finish is short, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish, light vegetable/herbal hoppyness, light metal and faint alcohol. Not very enjoyable.
3.0 Aroma escaso. Enorme bebestibilidad. Recomendable (a falta de una buena artesana).
2.7 Quite a drinkable macro lager. Was at the premium end in Tokyo (something better than the blander lagers on offer). That said was quite nice.
3.5 Nice crisp taste. Very very easy to drink. Best before a meal. One of my favourites even though mass produced. Very light.
2.6 Clear yellow color and strong on carbonation. Grain taste and sort of light and medium body. minimal on bitterness. Drinkable
2.5 Tap @ Tokyo beer museum. Appearance: pours clear straw yellow with ok creamy white head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, breadm and floral notes. palette: medium malty aroma, average carbonation, light to medium body, medium malt sweetness, somewhat balanced by a light to average bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: pretty standard lager
2.2 Draft from Jam sake bar. Corn, yeast, wheat, citrus, spice with some grain and straw throughout. Pretty smooth. Though is it better than the original?
3.2 Can at the home front in Kyoto - picked up in Tokyo. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds simple cereal, pale grains, pale bread. Light-medium sweet flavour with minimal bitterness, some hay, pale biscuits, maybe lemon peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty OK balance in the finish, with further pale bread, lightly bitter straw, faint dough. Quite basic, unsurprisingly, but it drinks easy.
2.3 Flaska. Krispig avslutning.
3.9 Aroma : bready Appearance : amber brown little foam Taste : lightly bitter sweet grains malty rice Palate : soft carbonation very drinkable first at Fukuoka it was exellent
2.6 A small can from Jason’s in Guting [small, because way over-priced], rated back-to-back with Sapporo Premium. Aroma: bready, rather sour. Appearance: same as the Premium, maybe a little richer amber, head dissipates completely. Palate: light-bodied, but with a pleasantly slick texture. Soft carbonation, nothing happening at the finish. Taste: lightly bitter, the texture redeems it. This is in the Beer Hunter’s top 500, and a marked improvement on the Premium, but at that price, once is enough. Merry Christmas!
2.3 Clear golden with little white head. Lots of sweet grains with some dust and normal bitter hoppy stuff. Bad.
1.2 Canned at Red Hill Bar, Takayama. Pours clear golden with white head. Malty, sweet, rice, short finish with hint of bitterness, watery. Thin bodied. Drinkable, and that’s about it.
2.3 Can, thanks to my wife for nicking out to the slev. Gold, white head stick around a while. Hay, mild spices a slight whiff of pears. Sweet and reasonably clean but empty in the middle. Dry with some spices and moderate bitterness.
2.9 35 cl can. Golden color, big white head. Lagery smell, straight forward. Aroma of sugary malts, biscuits, followed by a quite intense bitterness for the style. Metallic bitter finish, solid lager.
