Bottle. Darker mahogny in color, off-white head. Dark bready notes, sweetness and grainyness in aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, nice. Dark bready malty taste, some ripe dark fruity sweetness - raisins mostly, in taste. Excellent drinkability.
Bottle from Edeka Neue Mitte Altona - Deep Brown Color, small beige head. Taste is nuts, dark malts, some toffee and caramel. Very nice, thick and round. great dark bock.
Bella schiuma beige e birra color mogano. Profumi ottimi di miele di Castagno, tostato e soprattutto prugne secche. Corposa e vellutata in bocca dove ritrovo le prugne e un finale secco e leggermente amaro. Ottima birra!

Appearance - deep chestnut brown but with shades of autumnal red and light lava-orange chinks.
Nose - malt loaf, toffee with some dry red fruit.
Taste - more malt and toffee with some chewy nuts too.
Palate - medium to full bodied. Chewy and sweet through middle and finish but with just enough roasted malt to cleanse the palate on the finish.
Overall - lovely stuff.
Bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours clear chestnut brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of toffee, light nuttiness. Taste is more of the same. Clean finish. Easy drinking for the strength.
500ml bottle brewed in Germany at 7.6%. Stunning dark ruby with a robust cap of foam, good-duration. Sweet brown bread crust aroma with lurking red fruits, cherry mainly. Lowish carbonation, sticky thick mouthfeel, really developing in taste and texture long into the aftertaste, lots of sweet bready characteristics unfolding, crossing over the border into a little chocolate, then toffee and faint liquorice. Some light cherry and blackcurrant jam flavours; even a little raisin creeps in. Sweeter and fruitier than a typical Doppelbock, and with that proviso, a real stunner. Artisanal in quality, even. Of particular note is the complex texture, changing in accompaniment with each flavour development on the palate. Puts the fruit in fruitcake - and would make a fun contrast going head-to-head with a quality Ruby Ale.
Butelka. Ciemny, mahoniowy kolor z rubinowym refleksem. Piana w kolorze kości słoniowej, opada szybko. W zapachu i smaku dużo suszu owocowego z naciskiem na rodzynki i figi, slod, karmel, palony brązowy cukier, skórka chlebowa i ciastka. Wysycenie średnie, słodycz na dość wysokim poziomie, alkohol dobrze ukryty. Fajne piwo... Niestety nie wynik meczu...
Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.
13.12.2020. 0,5l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Oasen, Karmsund. Dark brown colour with white head. Dark malts. Pretty rich body with a very nice and smooth malty flavour. Rich with fruit and berries. Prunes and apples. Not very bitter, its more smooth and malty. very nice.
Solid beer this one. A little bit to sweet for my likings,

Ładnie prezentujące się piwo, ciemnowiśniowa, klarowne z ładną pianą. Aromat głównie ciemne suszone owoce. W smaku lekko słodkie przełamane delikatną goryczką. Całkiem niezły doppelbock
0,5 flaske, og vi nærmer oss målsnora i god stil denne fine kvelden på Mi2 Cardinal okt-20: vakker rødlig kobber med skum som varer. en herlig, saftig og elegant balansert dobbelbock hvor maltbasen forkjæler smaksløkene.
bottiglia 50 cl, schiuma beige media grana media persistenza, colore mogano limpido, al naso è perfetta miele di castagno prugne secche nocciole tostate, in bocca è vellutata frutta matura malto uva passa zucchero di canna miele frutta secca, corpo rotondo, alcool presente riscalda ma non disturba, carbonatazione piatta, oily, dolce con amaro moderato. Bottle at home. Has a clear dark reddish brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of dates, brown sugar, leather and chocolate. Flavour of leather, raisins, grass, toast and some alcohol and smoke. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. Malty with a nice hoppy touch.
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe and drunk on 23/12/2010. A really nice dopplebock. Big raisins, grain, figs, caramel and lager malt on the nose. Great body. Smooth and really nice lingering bitter sweetness.
Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. You can always guarantee an interesting tick or two in here. Clear, deep chestnut brown. Thin and dense, lasting, off white head. Nose has figs and bonfire toffee. Booze steeped vine fruit. Soft smoke. Rich and fusel. Taste is sweet and fruity. Comes out a little dry and boozy. Smooth mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Light vinous bitterness to finish. Nice, albeit a little dry overall.

Creamy tan head stayed on a reddish brown slowly carbonating body.
Malt, spices fruit, raisin & demerara aroma.
Medium bodied, pillowy on the tongue with a lighter clean back.
Malt, raisin, brown sugar, jam & roasted tastes with a sweet fruited finish.
Good stuff.
Dark brown with a beige head that dilapidates quickly. Aroma is licorice. Tadte is a surprise: ginger bread, sweet malts. Interesting.
The aroma has roasted malt, Caramel, Chocolate nose. The taste is sweet with a lot of caramel, chocolate and fruits ingredients. The mouthfeel is great and the finish has some kind warm smoked bitterness and slightly alcoholic taste. That is the best thing of the beer. The carboration is soft.
Overall one of the best "Doppelbock" i have drink. Very pleasand beer.
Bottle at home. Pours deep reddish brown, nose is malty, caramel, toffee, nutty, taste is similar, sweet, red fruits.
Bottle. Caramel, breadcrust, light chocolate, nutty finish with an earthy, light roasted bitterness, quite chewy body. Excellent.

Bottle from Cornelius. Clearish deep brown. Nose is caramel, sweet malty, dark fruits, bready malts. Taste is sweet, bready malty, caramel, plums, raisins, warming, nutty, brown sugar. Sweet but very nice.

Donkerbruin troebel bier met weinig schuim.
Licht aroma van pruimen en rozijnen.
Smaak is moutig en rokerig. Nasmaak is iets bitter.
Bottle recieved with Euro Swap 3 2019, many thanks to Rauchbierlover! Bottle shared with Inoven, Benzai and Keukeman. It has a nice clear brown colour. Aroma of malts and caramel. The taste is malty, caramel and roasted malt.
Bottle from Alaus Biblioteka. Pours dark brown colour, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is nutty, caramelly, toffee, malty, quite sweet. Taste is creamy, nutty, toffee, bready, caramelly, chocolatey. Very smooth taste. Medium body, smooth carbonation. Very well covered alcohol. Good smooth bock, bit too sweet
# 1139; 7/2018. Výborný doppelbock. Hezky vazký, plný sladkého ovoce. Ač v chuti patrný alkohol, velmi dobře pitelný.
