Exploding with hop flavor and aroma, this citrus/piney/floral ale has enough of a malt backbone to stand up to the intense bitterness.

3.7The appearance is one weakness with a watery head and a cloudy, unfiltered pour. However, the nose is fully hopped, and the taste matches it’s sniff. Very hoppy. Solid IPA. Cheers!
3.8Bottle:
Hazy, golden-yellow with a short, slick, off-white head.
Grapefruit, orange, lemon peel scent.
Juicy citrus taste, grapefruit, orange......
Plenty of steady, peel bitter.
This is a very nice one....tingly and tasty.
3.2Robe dorée et opaque. Peu de mousse. Faibles arômes d?écorce d?agrumes et résines. Goût biscuit et marmelade. Final fruits confits. Plutôt courte en bouche.Une IPA correcte.
3.3Bottled. To be fair my had some floaters in it so the appearance was not so great. However the taste was a nice bold hops. Dry after has a fruity orangy hops taste. Not much piney hops but very good IPA.
3.7Throw in from a trade with gregwilsonstl. Pours a golden amber color with big fizzy head. Aromas of fruit and citrus peel and some piney notes. Flavors of tropical fruits and some piney hops.
3.6Bottle at home late night. Yellow orange beer one finger head. Nose is tropical fruits and pine. Tastes of pine, resin, juicy fruit gum, banana, florals, light vanilla notes. Sweet fruity finish. Palate is creamy with hints of bitterness.
3.6A pretty good ipa. Descent aroma and a good hoppy flavor. Labor day beer drinking is good.
4.2Pours an orange, maybe honey color. Very thick, but one finger head. It’s very cloudy. Lots of lacing.
Aroma is incredible. Very piney. Very hoppy. Very citrusy. Also, a little mint. Smells like an IPA should.
Taste follows the nose. This is quite bitter. Very hoppy. Very citrusy. What more can I say?
Mouthfeel is medium. It’s soft carbonation. The bitterness makes it a little less drinkable. It’s finishes a little bitter. The high abv is not so noticeable.
Overall, if you like IPAs, then you should seek this out. It’s very good. I really don’t have anything more to add.
3.6Nice aroma of hops, some pine, and fresh grass. Mild orange color with an off white head. Rich sweet malt up front with some nice backbone. Resinous pine bitterness filters in and intensifies through finish. Slightly slick mouth feel. Finish is slightly heavy on bitterness but pleasant. Solid
4.6I love a palate-eroding blast of resin as much as the next hophead, but sometimes I want an IPA that makes me marvel at its smoothness and complexity. Enter American IPA. It’s no slouch with bitterness at 65 IBU and you’ll definitely notice the dank grass and wet pine notes from the American hops. You’ll also notice how skillfully the caramel malt platform tames the citrus tones into juiciness and accents the floral character. Here’s to hoping I come across Schlafly Tasmanian IPA. Soon.
3.3Draft/Fest.
A- Citrus, floral, pine, soap.
A- Golden color, hazy liquid, white head.
T- Citrus, pine, bitter.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish.
O- A decent Pale Ale/IPA/whatever exactly it is.
3.912oz bottle, courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours with a slightly hazed deep gold body that has a thin copper hues and supports decent near white head. The aroma offers up grapefruit, orange pith and some thin soft citrus and tropical fruit juicy odors off in the background. The taste delivers a pleasing hoppy bite with bitter grapefruit and tangerine like citrus hops as well as some modest resiny pine hoppiness. Toward midway it pulls up thin juicy citrus and faintly tropical fruity notes that add a nice balance to the overall hop experience. Into the finish seems to lurk faint esters that are wrapped in bitter grapefruit and lime and pine hoppiness. Nice.
3.6From a bottle. Pours a hazy gold with an off white head. Flavors of pine resin with some citrus notes. Bitter finish.
3.6Good stuff. Hood citrus and malt background. Easy drinking and finishes with light bitter finish. Good package. Bottle.
3.1Smells like a mixture of pine and citrus hops. Also has a yeasty stinky feet type of aroma that I didn’t care for. That and the fact that the scent is not all that strong takes the aroma category down a few points. Looks unfiltered, pours a nice dark orange color with a very sticky white head. Tastes mildly bitter, very little malt to balance it out, with a bitter/soapy aftertaste. Palate is good with a strong aftertaste. Overall, not bad, but not as good as the rating says it is.
4.0Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head. Smells of citrus and pine. Taste is pine, citrus, bitter, hints of sweetness. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and average mouth-carbonation, Schlafly American IPA finishes with a lingering bitterness.
3.5Initial combination hop pine/floral (celery?) flavor. Fades quickly to a light citrus finish.

3.8Wow, another Schlafly that I actually like. And this one is excellent, not something I expect from them. Great citrus and floral aroma and tastes with a nice balance of malt sweetness. If they can produce this, why do so many of their other beers suck?
4.0aroma - mostly citrus. Taste - hoppy, grapefruity. Another refreshing IPA, that I tasted on a warm day.
3.2アメリカンIPA
ポップの香りにまじっていやな香りがする
美味しそうな雰囲気はある
3.8Opened 6.5 weeks after bottled. Citrus aroma carries through to palate with forward, grapefruit-like hops. Quite a refreshing IPA.
3.5Very hoppy aroma with subtle malt sweetness. Taste is a lot of bitterness from hops and subtle maltiness on the back end. Hops last long on the palate, but nice!
3.6Bottle. Fresh leafy and citric hop aroma
Hazy amber, low offwhite head
Medium light body, light stickiness, wonderfull green hops though, really pleasant.
3.8on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear bright dark amber, frothy white head, messy cobwebs of lace. Taste is solid malt that yields partially to a combination citrus/pine hop presence on the swallow, the bitter dominating, but never able to overcome the malt. The finish becomes sweeter as it fades. A very nice strong IPA.
3.4Cask at taproom. Pours orange with a thin white head. Some dank hop notes on the nose. Has some leafy hoppiness on the tongue. It’s quaffable and finishes clean but it’s not spectacular to me.
4.0Huge bubblegum, citrus, tropical, fruity, pine and hoppy taste. Delicious. Orange pour from 12oz bottle at red door. Sweet and underwhelming aroma. Taste makes it all
3.4On Draught
Pours a hazy light golden with some good head and nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is fruity with some hop character but a surprising husky malt thing going on. All together it come across as pretty faint as well.
The flavor is a touch sweet, the hop profile is nice with some good punchy grapefruit and piney hops. The bitterness is at a moderate level but balances the beer appropriately.
I’ve had this before & it’s been brilliant, although I never took notes. This batch falls short of my prior experience and expectations I’m afraid.
4.1An absolutely incredible ipa. Hoppy, citrus and grapefruit dominate. Smells hoppy and goes down like butter. Crushable. Just had after a rajah and this may be a better beer. Got from the brewer when visiting arcade brewing.
3.7Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and some tropical fruitiness, piney - some grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and tropical fruitiness, piney/grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish, faint caramel and light tropical fruitiness, lots of piney - some grapefruit hoppyness, light alcohol. OK well hopped IPA. Could be drier with less (or without) caramel. Bit too much alcohol in the finish.
4.0Hazy gold to orange pour with a one-two finger, creamy to soapy white head. Aroma is mango heavy tropical fruit, sweet and bitter citrus, lemon, pine shoots, biscuit, light limestone and a hint of fresh cut grass. Flavor is caramel, biscuit, light sweet breadiness, dank hops, tropical fruit, bitter citrus, lime and boozy and pine shoot notes come in at the same time and remind me a bit of gin. Light to medium body, creamy entry, juicy to slightly chalky middle, medium carbonation and dry, slightly chalky finish. Good stuff, all around solid IPA that I could see myself drinking pretty regularly.
