Schlappeseppel Kellerbier (cellar beer) still contains all ingredients making it cloudy. Its main ingredient is yeast providing the beer with a characteristic, very soft, round and slightly bitter taste.

Malty and rather robust bitter taste with some minerals, a little lemony. A little sweetness in the finish, a little juicy and light body.
3.2From bottle. Transfer of an earlier rating without text recorded, rating only.

2.5Pours hazy gold from the bottle and leaves a foamy white head. A web of lace sticks to the glass. Aroma is cereal, white bread, Taste is lightly bitter with grainy notes and a touch of spice. Kind of plain, and a bit rough. Body is medium, well carbonated. Drinkable but not worth buying.
3.3On tap. Comes a somewhat hazy gold with an average white head. Aroma of malt and grain. Taste is malt, grain, yeast, and a bit of citrus. Pleasant.

3.2From the bottle at Hirsch, Friedrichshain, Berlin 30/1/2016. Crisp malts with an earthy edge, yeasty stone fruits and a pleasingly bitter finish. Good.
3.0500ml bottle. Opaque, bright yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Spicy malty and minimally grainy aroma, a protein touch. Taste is spicy malty, minimally grainy and doughy, a touch of protein, minimally tart and fruity hints of pear.
3.0Bottle at Teufelhof Basel. Nice yellow body with big head. Nose is grassy and funky. Taste is also grassy and sweet. With caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Nicely balanced.
3.8Bottle, 50 cl. Overall pleasant, complex aroma, agreeable, small, carbonation. Small bitter finish. Went excellent with cheese and bisquits.
3.4Bottle 50cl. Hazy to cloudy yellow golden color, large frothy white head, mostly lasting, good lacing; fruity aroma, grain, lemon, lemon grass, bit yeasty; fresh taste; taste medium sweet, light bitter; light body, watery but round texture, average carbonation, aftertaste mild sweetbitter, spicy notes; nice tasty Kellerbier.
2.8Bottle. Yellow-golden colored and hazy with a full frothy white head. In the herbal and grassy hop aroma as well as malt driven notes of toffee and dough. The taste is sweet with a light bitter finish. Flavor is like the aroma dominated by sweet malts, toffee and dough, however still balanced by some hoppiness. The light body and medium carbonation adds to its good drinkability.
3.4Bought from the Reichelt supermarket, from an endcap that sold them in cardstock six-pack holders, big enough for half-litter bottles. You know how useful those are in Germany? Great for bringing sixers to a party, instead of a whole case or a plastic bag with clanking bottles. Anyways. Pours a lovely, hazy yellow-orange color, sticky white foam on top. Smells like fresh toasted bread and orange-zesty yeast. Zesty, mildly dusty-bitter taste, dryish -- easy enough to drink, refreshing, but lacking malty oomph. It does give the yeast the spotlight, maybe something to be said for that.
3.1Muy clara al caer de la botella (casi cerveza blanca) aunque en la copa ya amarillea un poco más. Muy turbia, incluso con algunos posos muy relevantes. Aroma ligero a malta y hierbas. En boca algo citrica, y recuerda a fina sidra de manzana con un final amargo y seco. Buena.
