Schlappeseppel Special is brewed with special malts. These malts already contain caramelized sugar. About 60 % of the quality of this beer can be traced back to this harmonic flavour. The result is an amber-coloured, full-bodied, balanced beer.

2.8 Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller' (Breckerfeld), best before October 2018. Clear, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, some grains and a touch of straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains, some caramel and a touch of straw, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little metallic finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

3.3 330 ml swingtop bottle, from El Corte Ingles. Santa Cruz de Tenerife. ABV is 5.6%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Malty and grainy aroma with hints of caramel, also notes of herbal German hops. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is first citrussy and refreshing, then malty, grainy and dusty, ending dry with moderate hops.

2.4 Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’ place. Thanks Yoav. Deep golden. Malt, caramel, a bit of honey, a bit of oxidation, sweetish, faint bitterish note.
2.8 Bottled from a gas station in Hessen. Color is dark amber with thin head. Malty nose. Aroma is caramel, malts, some fruity tones. Flavour is same. Nothing "Spezial".
2.6 Bernsteinfarben mit schöner, aber kurzlebiger Krone. Malzig würziger Antrunk, süss karamellig, nur leicht gehopft.
3.2 330ml flip-top bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty. Clear golden orange colour; Three-quarter finger head with white foam which fades in 45 seconds; Good sticky lacing with notable slight carbonation; Fragrant aroma of Amber malt, with strong honey, caramel, toffee, floral, sugar, strong bread, light lemon and light grass; Close to medium sweet taste of amber malt, with fair caramel, floral, molasses, bread, fair lemon and light bitter grassy hops; Mid to light body. Slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is good maltyness in a thin background, somewhat dry and amberish with notable caramel. Very clean throughout, flowery and fairly sweet with light lemon to round. Easy!…. Hoppiness is floral, light lemon and light grass in nose and taste; Bitterness is very light for an abrupt, very low-astringent amber malty finish; Dry after taste. Flowery and easy to mouth. Comments: A very easy-going Maerzen with quite a strong caramel showing in aroma and taste. Not too sweet and quite thin and dry for the style, but very quaffable. Chill out material!

3.1 330 ml bottle. Semidark orange colour with stable huge head. Aroma is malty. Taste begins very good with malty notes, full body, bread, light notes of caramel. Then i expected that the ens would more hoppy, almost none bitterness, pity, but despite that OK beer
3.1 Gold coloured beer with white foam head. Aroma is malty, caramel and grassy. Taste similar to aroma.
3.0 Sötét sárga fehér habbal. Édeskés, furmintos mazsolás illat. Enyhén keserű aszalt ízekkel tipikus erősebb festbeer. Utóíze kicsit laposodó babonás, lisztes!? (keményítős) Tompa. Elmegy de nem kiemelkedő...
