Strong lager; lagered for 9 months then filtered and force-carbonated.
"Full-bodied with a creamy flavour and noble hop flavours.
Urbock 23° has on occasion been called the 'Cognac of beers'."

2.30.33l bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours golden/amber with small white head which disappears quickly, clear. Aroma of strong alcohol, dried fruits, plums, oak barrel, grain. Bitter taste with strong dry aftertaste. Full body, heavy, flat. Too strong, too boring, nope.
3.1Butelka 0,33 litra, zakupiona przez kolegę w Austrii. Barwa złota, klarowna. Aromat słaby, słodowy, poza tym niewiele. W smaku slodowe, mocno alkoholowe. Mało przypomina koźlaka, bardziej strong lagera.
3.0Flesje uit supermarkt Fieberbrunn. Helder goud, kraag verdwijnt snel. Ruikt zoet, licht caramel.
3.6Very sweet nose with alcoholic notes. Beautiful beer and clear but small head. Malty notes and rich barley in the taste. Palate long and very high viscosity. Keeps hanging on.
2.7Deep golden color, with a little foam. Sweet malty and hoppy aroma. Taste is also hoppy, but there's too much alcohol in it's aftertaste.
3.5Bouteille 33cl
Mousse : Petite mousse blanche adhérente
Couleur : Jaune pêche
Nez : Malt, fruits jaunes macérés, sucre, alcool, nez assez sec.
4.9En copa Teku. Jugando a Shantae's Half Genie Hero.
Strong carbonation quickly dissipates and the minimal white head disappears as the bubbles still completely. Nose of candied fruits; figs, prunes, fresh raisins. A touch of butterscotch and toffee. Massive creamy malt presence, medium mouthfeel. Warmth lingers after. Sweet whiskey and cognac style mid-palate with that lasting heat in the aftertaste. Eggenberg never disappoints and this big beer is no exception. Some crisp hop notes are discernible, but this beer is really all about the high malt presence and the swirling notes of sweet dark fruits. Very good and packs a punch.
3.90,33 bottle.
***
Amber color, slightly lighter than the double bottles so far. Nice white, solid, durable foam. The smell is resinous, grassy, more hopy, but as it warms up, cognac, sweet malt, you can also feel alcohol. The taste is similar to strong Belgian, you can feel the alcohol, the sweet taste of cognac, and you can also feel the hops for the first time. It warmed up over time, becoming more and more full, with a dried fruity, plum, slightly alcoholic finish. Very serious drink! under his foam mixing is a very nice micro-bubble game is going on ... It's worth - check it out and try it. By the end, warmer alcohol is very dominant, maybe a little much too.
3.30.33 bottle brought to me by friend from Vienna. Clear dark golden colour with medium , short lasting white head. Aroma is malt , sweet , cocoa . Taste is malt , fruity, raisins , boozy , medium bodied , odd aftertaste.
3.3Tohle pivo je hodně zajímavou variací sladového likéru. Příjemné sladové aroma, silná alkoholová hřejivá chuť s tóny pečeného chleba a lehce nasládlé doznívání.
3.1bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma beige fine media persistenza, color oro limpido, al naso malto lieviti intenso miele, in bocca malto caramello frutta secca nocciola e miele, carbonatazione piatta, corpo rotondo, molto dolce con amaro accentuato lungo nel finale. Si sente un po’ troppo l’alcool. Non è il mio stile. 29.04.19
3.2Aroma: initial hop bitterness, sugar sweetness and a touch of vanilla
Appearance: pale amber with a smallish white head
Flavour: hop, apricot, blended bitterness & spiritous
Palate: medium mouthfeel and loads of bitterness to balance. finishes clear
3.50,33l bottle. Clear deep golden colour with quickly disappearing white head. Aroma: Caramel, hay, flour with apple notes. Taste: Has a strong sweet and malty start that suddenly turns into a very alcoholic and surprisingly bitter mouthfeel. Has a quite liquorish caracter. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Long lasting bitter finish. Not bad, bad too alcoholic in the taste, it's not hidden at all.

3.3F: medium, white, average retention.
C: gold, clear.
A: malty, nutty, grassy, bready, floral, caramel, bit oxidized, bit alcohol.
T: malty, bready, caramel, bit nutty, a lot of warming alcohol, decent bitterness, medium body and lower carbonation, aroma is nice yet taste not so much, 33cl bottle from Billa AG, Mariahilfer Str., Vienna.
3.2Flaska od kamarata. Vona sladova karamelova. Farba tmavsia zlatista. Chut karamel a alkohol.
Farba bledomedova.
3.4Bottle. Clear golden with creamy off-white head. Sweetish aroma with notes of caramel, dulce de leche, raisin, fruit liqueur and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, very alcoholic, raisin, dried fruits, some toffee and fruit liqueur, sticky. Full-bodied.
3.1Bottle. Clear golden with a thick head. Caramel, honey, toffee and alcohol aromas. Very sweet, caramel, fruity esters, honey, candy, alcoholic bitter finish. Medium bodied, syrupy.
3.3Goudgeel, helder, minimale witte schuimkraag, weinig koolzuur.
Boven medium body, siroop achtig mondgevoel, zacht koolzuur. Zonde dat hij te zoet is. Afdronk is moutig en bitterzoet.
3.3Aroma is very malty, a bit caramel and small alcohol content. Deep gold, clear without head. Rich and malty, toasty, sweet in finish. Medium, light carbonation.
3.6Picked it up at a Conad in Trentino because I saw ‘pale double bock’ and thought that sounded interesting. Didn’t notice it was also 9.6% haha! So upon my first sip: shock was what I felt more than anything else!
But it’s really nice, once you know what you’re getting. Gorgeous deep golden colour and rich depth. Smell is deceptively tame: it is still a lager after all. Resinous mouthfeel akin to an IPA, with that same chewy quality only no real hip presence. Instead, a slightly floral, perfumed booziness. It’s a sipper. But a nice one.
