3.5 Bottle, thanks Udo. Nose is chocolate, bread. Palate is quite sweet chocolate, Russisch Brot. Decent
4.2 330ml bottle in 2016. Black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, fruit loaf, black cherries and vanilla. Good body. Slight sweetness and treacle notes with coffee and roasted malt.
3.4 A sweet smell of roast malt, hints of cherry and liquorice, quite alcoholic. The taste starts of earthy, including coffee, then a quite extreme sweetness, which makes your lips stick. The alcohol is well-hidden at this stage.
3.2 Vom Geruch her dunkelröstige Kaffeearomen. Schwarzes Bier, leicht rötlich gegen Licht, dick cremige Schaumkrone. Sehr sprittig. Carbonisierung ist okay, wirkt schon recht dickflüssig. Insgesamt trotzdessen leider eher enttäuschend
3.7 330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma with a cautious spicy touch, notes of dark chocolate, some treacle, molasses, a touch of liquorice, cocoa, a minimally vinous, fruity touch with overtones of plum, cherry, blue grapes. Taste is slightly dry, minimally sweet, chocolately dark malty, slightly fruity, notes of dark chocolate, hints of cocoa, blue grapes, cherry, a touch of plum, plum butter, a spicy touch of marmite and liquorice, very cautious, smoky, ashy edges. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate. Nice complexity, not overly intense, relatively drinkable. Good.
3.5 Aromat duzo suszonych owocow sliwek fig, delikatna palonosc, bardziej ciemny chleb, kawa zbozowa. Slodki, slodowy, chlebowy, niska goryczka, niska palonosc. Niestety tez rozpuszczalnik. Taki old school RIS bardziej porter
2.6 Bottle from Koelshtrinker as part from Euro Swap. Thanks! Dark brown colour, beige foam, disappears quickly. Sweet, caramel cocoa, some roasted malts. Messy, dirty and unbalanced. Very strange and bad stout.
3.6 Dark black, fast disappearing fine head, low carbonation. Salty cocoa aroma. Nice sweet/salty light soy flavor. Surprisingly not sweet for the high alcohol content. Am excellent beer!
3.3 Bottle.Almost black colour with small beige head.Aroma of cocoa and chocolate, medium roasted mouthfeels flavor of coffee and alc strong and malty finish.
3.6 A nice European Imperial stout. As expected, it has the coffee and chocolate taste and also a nice Hop bitterness. For me it is no competition to the Imperial stouts from the USA as it is too sweet and lacks th fine creamy carbonisation that makes you almost eat these kind of beers. There is however one big pro for this beer: It is sold at Trinkgut for €1,20 a bottle and it is much better than many other €2+ stouts being sold in Germany and the Netherlands.
4.1 Tolle Farbe, Intensive Röstmalze, Kaffee. Geschmack cremig, Kaffeenoten und dunkle schokolade. Klasse Imperial Stout
3.5 330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip. A: Dark mahogany, opaque, didn't leave much of a head or any lacing. S: Dark chocolate and booze. T: High content cocoa chocolate, gave way to a lingering bitter boozy finish. Slight hints of biscuit and berries. M: Low carbonation, thick chewy texture, the boozy kick gave a slightly coarse edge. O: More doppelbock than Imperial Stout, not bad.
3.8 Aroma is heavy malty and medium roasty. It smells like dark chocolate, coffee, nuts, vanilla. Reddish black color with a medium sized, creamy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Flavor is heavy sweet, light bitter. It tastes like milk chocolate, milk coffee, nuts, vanilla. Body is medium to full, mouthfeel is creamy. Finish is long and roasty. Nice beer, nice balance! 0,33l bottle.
3.7 Bottle. Pours jet black with a thick tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, pralines, roasted malt. Taste is dry, with an average bitterness. Flavors of roasted malt, pralines, dark chocolate, slight chocolate, slight walnut. Medium to full body, smooth thick texture, flat carbonation.
3.4 Dark bread in the aroma with some molasses, pralines filled with dark chocolate and hazelnut note. Dark brown in the glass, quickly disappearing head – really oily at the first sight. Taste is semi sweet with notes of dark bread, chocolate pudding some earthiness of roasted malts fleshed out with pralines. Classic interpretation, not top-ier, but solid.
3.7 Dark brown with a medium light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, licorice, chocolate and tart. Medium sweet and umami,
2.9 Kawa czekolada. Alkoholowy malo ciała. Taki sobie imperialny stout. Jak wpadnie to mozna wypić ale nie ma co się za num rozglądać
3.9 Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is zoet en licht bitter met iets van koffie, chocolade en karamel. Erg goed.
3.8 Appearance: Very dark brown, near black. Small, tan head. Aroma: Dark malt, some coffee. Roasted. Taste: Dark malt, roasted, dry, some coffee/chocolate notes. Bought: Wittich, 330 ml, CHF 3.00 Info: 8/9-2018, BB: 12/7-2032

3.6 Bottled from local German supermarket. Opaque black, small beige head. Nose of roasted malts, licorice, lactose, iron. Bitter sweet flavor, licorice, some lactose, coffee. Lasting bitter finish. Lacking complexity, but therefore easy to drink.
3.4 Pours black, medium beige creamy head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice and chocolate. Tastes roasted malts, bitter, licorice, very herbal, dark chocolate with coffee notes. Very creamy and smooth, great mouthfeel. Overall a decent beer, maybe not too fit for its style but enjoyable.
3.4 Bottle from Die Bierothek, Bamberg. Aroma is roasted malt, liquorice, caramel, dark chocolate, molasses, with a touch of tobacco and coffee. Flavour is sweet with a medium roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. More of a Baltic Porter profile than Imperial Stout, a bit too much liquorice for it to be a real winner.
3.8 deep dark brown colour, medium sized creamy beige head; aroma of tobacco, soy sauce, some coffee and cocoa powder; taste has the same notes with intensive dark chocolate; quite enjoyable imperial stout
3.2 330ml Flasche. Klar und schwarz mit mittelgroßer Schaumkrone. Sehr malzig mit Röstaromen. Ordentlicher Körper. Leicht herber Geschmack.
