3.2 Intense malty aroma with notes of grain, hay and little bit hoppy. Clear golden in the glass with minimal snow-white head. Taste is semi dry with tough malty base, honey, some intense herbal hoppiness and malt liquor-like character. Strong, indeed, but alcohol is unbelievably hidden. Maybe bitterness is too high, but it’s good one.
3.3 Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy, biscuity malts, citrusy. Taste is biscuity sweet malts, grassy hops, citrusy. Medium carbonation, some alcohol warmth in the finish. Drinkable and fun!
3.4 11.2 oz bottle 3/6/17 (Courtesy of TerryR)-48° in Mug-Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt and slight alcohol. Taste of malt, toffee, and fruit. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and hits the spot.
3.0 Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Wszystko to przypominalo mi taniego strong lagera.
3.7 330ml bottle BB 04 Feb 17. Very clear golden colour with small white head. Honey and floral aromas, with some malt as well. Taste has nice honey and toast maltiness, a little fruitiness, floral and spicy hop bitterness, clean dry finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Simple and restrained.
3.4 Aroma: esters, spicy, malty. Appearance: clear golden color and white head. Taste: medium herbal bitterness, esters, zesty, malty, no alcohol and semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: Really good hellerbock, nice Saphir notes.
3.1 Bottle, 330 ml, shared with JFK10000. Pours cloudy golden, white head. Malty, caramel, flowery, perfume, quite sweet, some fruity notes. Finishes bitter. Medium bodied. OK.

3.6 (Bottle, Kaschk, Berlin, 28 Aug 2016) Golden colour with lasting, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, citrus, grass and honey. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, grass, citrus, honey, hints of tropical fruit and a generous grassy, spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made bock with a solid malt presence and a fresh hop character. Nice one.
2.8 Pours gold into the bottle. The crown soon fades. Aroma is honey, bread, a bit floral. Taste is very sweet and driven by the malt base. Light alcohol taste at the finish. Decent, but there is not much going on here. There are a lot of better bocks to be found.
3.3 Bottle at Kashck in Berlin. BB 04.02.2017. Pours clear golden with good white head that retains and laces well. Aroma is of grainy malts and some floral and grassy hops. Pretty funny. Tastes sweet, grainy, a bit corny even, with considerable floral grassy bitterness in the finish. Crisp, lightish on the palate. The 8% is well hidden. Overall not among the most well crafted Heller Bocks I’ve had but it’s quite nice nonetheless, definitely hoppier than most.
3.2 On tap @ Mystic Burger Montorfano Clear blond, minimal white head Sweet malty notes both in aroma and taste. Nothing special
2.8 A small taste from a friend (tap) @ Hopfenreich. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is slightly sweet malts. Flavor is sweet malts, alcohol and hops. Decent.
2.6 Bottle. Pale golden, average white foam. Aroma: malt, wine, sweet. Taste: sweet, fortified wine, malt, some alco bitterness.
3.1 Pale golden yellow pour with a thin layer of white head .... Aroma of sweet malts, little corn on the nose, grassy/floral notes ..... Taste is sweet and of crystal/caramel malts along with corn ... Grassy and floral hops .... Little too sweet for my liking ... Has a very slight bittersweet and dry hopped finish
3.2 05-Mar-2016-0,33L Flasche. Goldgelb, klar, weisser Schaum. Aroma: Getreide, Marzipan, Cardboard. Antrunk: helles Malz, Weintraube.
2.0 Bottle at Vagabund Brauerei, Berlin, 27.12.15. Clear gold, white head. DMS, corn and grain in the nose, DMS sweetness and a little corny in the mouth. Light-to-medium body, bitter and acetic finish.
3.9 Aroma of floral hops, maybe to high for this style. Then the caramel, the honey and the biscuit from the malts. Very elegant and balanced. Pale clear color, with medium white foam. Sweet but not cloying. No diacetyl. Well attenuated. Really a good one!
3.7 Bottle at Birrivico, Como, bb 26.02.16 Hazy blond color with medium head. Among Bocks, this one is very perfumy and floral; moderately sweet, with wheat bread flavor, straws also in the aroma; correct bitterness, juicy final. This is like a modern IIPA to the Bock world, the choice of pale malts is very appreciated. Bold but almost refreshing.
3.6 330 ml bottle. Pours a clear straw with a short lived white head. Aroma is oldish, lemon. Flavor is loads of lemon, fruits (pineapple, orange). Finish is lemon, rather bitter, herbs and loads of pepper. Lingering lemon and herbs. Medium body, soft mouthfeel and average carbonation.
3.2 Clear golden color with an amazing and adherent white head keeping a nice lacing. Aroma is malty with notes of corn and light citrus. Flavor is also malty and bitter slightly alcohol notes. Medium to high carbonation and medium body with a bitter and salty finish.
3.5 Light-colored bocks of this strength are a bit like most Tripels for me -- too sweet and strong to be useful. This one neatly solves that problem by being dryish and plainly bitter, accentuated by some juicy herbal hop flavor. Lovely bright greenish-gold color. Still strong, but dangerous instead of wasteful.
3.3 Bottle at Fritz Brauhaus, Greifswald, 18/07/15. Clear golden with a well appointed white crown of bubbles that retains well. Nose is sweet malt, caramel, light citric notes, pale malt, trace of booze. Taste comprises mellow fruit rinds, caramel, vanilla, straw, citric notes. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a boost level coming in around 5.99. Decent enough bock.
3.4 0,33l Flasche. Hellgelbes Bier mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Riecht wie ein typisch bayrisch Helles. Im Geschmack sehr intensiv nach Malz, Vanille und Biskuit. Die Bockhörner sind gut versteckt.
3.2 Piana średnio obfita, biała, drobna, niezbyt trwała. Barwa złota, klarowna. Aromat delikatny, przede wszystkim słodowy, ciasteczkowy, w tle nuty trawiaste, czysto chmielowe.
3.4 Bottle from a bottle shop in Bamberg. Fruity and malty smell with caramel. Sweet and fruity taste with some toasted sugar and sweet malts. Noticeable but not overpowering ABV.
3.5 33cl bottle. Within its best by date by quite a while (8 months). Clear golden pour. It is floral and spicy, some fruitiness in the aroma. The flavor is pleasant herbal and spicy, some sweetness, its actually pleasant and dry, hint of lemon and vanilla.
3.2 Bottle. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Straw notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.
