3.1 Bottle shared at tasting. Super dark red color. Aroma and flavor are both intense cherry, some honey, sweet. Intense amarene cherry shit. Not my thing. 6-5-6-3-11
3.2 Bottle. Purple color with no head. Aroma is super marzipan, cherry pith, cherry soda, Dr. Pepper/Cherry Coke style. Taste is the same. Thick oily mouthfeel. Disappointing, this is basically just Dr. Pepper.
3.1 Bottle. Nose is smokey, cherry, coca cola? Palate is smokey, bitter, spicy cherry coke, but a bit sweater and way heavier. Not sure if I got a bad batch. Dissapointing
2.8 Bottle. bright red to purple. Sweet artificial cherry soda nose. medium light body, dry, cherryskin flavor, a hint port, the end.
4.2 Treated my self to this bottle trying to up my mead game a bit here and there. Dark red pour. Nose is thick berry jam. Tastes the same condensed berry pie, some honey, red wine. Very tasty I guess supposed to sip but easy to drink as wel.
4.1 Served slightly chilled in a small dessert wine glass. Pours dark ruby. Cherry aroma, sweet and tart cherries on a bed of honey on the palate. Very balanced.
3.6 Bottle. Color: Dark red. Aroma: Yart and sweet dark cherries, some honey. Taste: Light to moderate tart and medium sweet dark red cherries, concentrated cherry-juice, hints of honey. Slightly boozy and a little more honey at finish. Bit sirupy, sticky. Full body. The cherry is overwhelming the honey too much for me.
4.2 Clear, dark ruby colored appearance with minimal head. Pleasant aroma of tart cherries, cherry juice, mild vinous notes and light honey. Similar flavor, rich, fruity and somewhat vinous with moderate sweetness. Full bodied and smooth with a lingering sweet cherry finish. Wow.
4.4 Tht april. Bottle. Ruby red with white head. Sweet red fruits, massive cherry, marzipan, red currant, massive honey, cherry bubblegum. 🍒 🐝 Big sweet and moderate bitter. Tart edges. Full body and soft carbonation.
4.4 Sampled at THT April. Big bottle. Deep ruby with no head. Sweet honey, obviously. Lots of ssweet and sour red fruits, creamy honey, sweet cherries, marzipan, all kinds of red berries and sweet fruit jam. Very sweet, light tart. Full bodied. Amazing.
3.6 Pours extremely dark reddish. Smell is very cherry forward. Taste is intense, thick, cherries madness. Too much cherries to me, mead gets kinda lost.
4.8 375mL bottle shared by Stacey on 1/2/19. Beautiful maroon/magenta, cherry-red, almost glossy with high clarity. Hot damn! That smells like the best Balaton cherries Ive ever smelled AND it has the honey richness, light phenol and other yeast notes that were somewhat lacking in A Smile of Fortune's nose. Ok. So I finally get why Schramm's is so hyped. If they only made this mead it would be enough. No alcohol and meaty, juicy, tart, rich, well- attenuated cherries linger on perfectly. The flavor delivers as well. Holy shit. This is so intensely and beautifully flavorful without any excess. No syrup or big sugar, no alcohol and with balanced acidity. Soft and succulent. Well...damn. Schramm's you finally got me.
3.9 Dark reddish purple in color... Aroma of tart dark cherries, overripe black cherries... Flavor is not as sweet as their other meads, dark black cherry notes, honey, light tannic notes... tasty
4.0 375ml bottle @ 9k tasting. Deep dark reddish, sweet and heavy with honey notes, loads of sweet cherries and earthiness. Dry and vinous finish. Quite smooth and complex.
4.2 Bottle from a friend. Crimson color, no head. Sweet taste with cherry, tart, honey, berries and earthy notes. Sweet finish with cherry, tart, honey, earthy notes, berries and sugar. Exquisite mead.
4.1 Bottleshare @ Yggdrasil Brewing pre-open. Deep red pour, flat. Full on cherries in the nose, light booze and deep cherry jam. Light honey coming out later. Tastes sweet, cherry jam, intense and rich with some alcohol warmth in the finish. Smooth and hardcore cherries. Totally enjoyable. Light tart dry finish. Tasty tasty tasty!
4.3 375 ml bottle. Pours a deep, dark crimson red color with some sticky legging on the glass. The aroma shows the requisite honey notes along with rich, dark cherries of different varietals from black, tart, and sweet with huge doses of cherry juice and jam. Just an amazing amount of cherry in the aroma. The flavor follows suit with waves of cherry juice ranging from tart to sweet along with a touch of acidity from the fruit to go with the sweetness from the honey. Very fruity and juicy that drinks like a cherry wine. Full bodied and slick on the mouthfeel that leads to a slightly tart and sweet cherry finish that dries out nicely to tie everything together. This is an exceptional cherry mead.
3.8 Bottle at Alex Attics 2nd year anv party cons 2018-09-21 Göteborg AR: sweet kriek, vanilla , dry AP: bourbon red, no head, wee legs F: wet kriek, vanilla bourbon, dry, very sweet mouth feeling
4.2 Thanks Gregg for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing translucent deep rose red. The nose shows pronounced forward notes of cherry pie - baking spices and sweet maraschino cherries. The palate is full bodied with a mild alcoholic burn. Moderate but balanced cherries throughout with light accents of honey.
4.2 A deep dark burgundy red mead with aroma of dark raspberry jam, light acidity, alcohol warmth, vanilla and honey, beautiful. In mouth, a sweet raspberry jam with intense alcohol warmth, vanilla, light tobacco, beautiful and complex. Bottle at meadery.
4.2 Taster at BUMBa. Pours purple/dark ruby, no head. Intense sweet cherries, light tannins, floral almost perfumey aroma. Lovely sipper.
4.4 Brilliant dark red pour from the bottle. Vibrant cherry nose - deep notes of sweet and tart cherry, honey and light spice. Flavor matches. Smooth as expected and a fantastic sipper.
3.9 Inky purple color. Massively deep cherries character witha touch of tartness and sweetness. Sweet, with tons of cherries, A touch of honey, but so well balanced. Good and interesting but not mind blowing.
4.9 On tap at Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. Pours a deep red brown. Full sweet cherry honey aroma. Flavor is bold, sweet, full-bodied red cherry, honey, and red and black licorice. This is just amazing.

4.1 Superb tasty one. Cherries intense like in a Lou Pepe Kriek. Sweet but not overwhelming. Super tasty.
3.8 Sample at Schramm’s, Ferndale. Red/purple shade with bubbles. Cherry pie aroma (even the crust). Nice deep sweetness to this one, I don’t sense the acidity so much. Very good.
4.0 October 2017 - Bottle share in Hackney. Big thanks to Leighton for this one. As 'Schramm's The Statement', 14%. Very dark purple-red, opaque, little pink head, legs on the glass. Aroma is big cherry, red wine, honey and plastic. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is sugary cherry, intense Cherry Halls sweets, crazy sweet, cinnamon. I love cherry, so I'm enjoying this one. Definitely a fun and intense tasting beverage that I could drink in large amounts, but not much complexity to it. (8-4-8-4-16=4.0)
4.3 Intense cherry, red and black cherries, candied, dark fruits. Hazy, dark red, no head. Heavy sweet. More intense cherries, honey, molasses, flat carbonation, medium bodied. Beautiful, outstanding. Bottle shared at Leighton's - thanks to Leighton!
