3.0Bottled 500ml. -from Schneider’s Getränkemarkt Cologne. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, bready and light grainy nose. Malty, bready, light grainy, some cereals and bitterish finish. Moderate carbonation.
4.1Clear golden with a frothy but fast dissipating head.
Smell of fermenting grains with a little hoppy note. Easy drinkable and refreshing, as most Kölsch, this one has a full body with a little acidity. Stronger carbonation.
2.8Fles 50cl thuis. (27-12-2019).
2.5Many thanks for this Koln beer to Koelschtrinker. Poured into Kuppers Kolsch glass. Prosty smak i nawet prosta etykieta.
3.1A strong hoppy smell, light malty
The head is small, white and foamy with a normal duration. The body is pale gold.
A light malty taste, a little bit bitter in the finish.
The body is light and dry with a lively carbonation.
3.7Pours a clear gold from the barrel tap with fluffy white foam that dissipates slowly to leave good lacing. Aroma of nice biscuit malt notes with a touch of grassy hops and mild fruity yeast undertones. Taste follows, clean and easy with a bit of substance behind it. One of the better ones I had in Koln.
3.224/8/2019. Bottle courtesy of Boris (cheers!) and shared at the Ipswich & North Essex beer share. Pours clear bright golden with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of fruit, flowers, vanilla, malt, hops and caramel. Medium sweetness, light bitterness and a hint of tart. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, average carbonation. Quite drinkable.
3.0Bottle from Erzengel- Thanks!
Rocky white head stayed on a well carbonated pale golden body.
Floral, malt & grain aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth on the tongue with a sharp effervescent back.
Faint malt, chalk, lightly fruited, tangy & citrus.
L'arbre m'a reconnu !!
Jambes lisses, longues.
Alcool conforme au style.
Finale très agréable.
CONCLUSION : une appellation géographique protégée, puisque

2.70,5 l, last bottle from my Kölsch haul in may. Clear golden with a more than one finger frothy head. Smells low malty. Tastes also low malty, hints of metallic elements with pale grain background. Okay.
3.3Bottle. Clear gold with a fine white head. Aroma of grains, grass and lemons. Taste follows aroma. Low on hops. Medium to strong carbonation. Süffig for sure but the taste is gone in a flash.
2.9500ml bottle. Clear, pale golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy malty, minimally strawy and hoppy aroma. Taste is slightly bitter hoppy, minimally grainy malty, minimally strawy, minimally watery. Not much Kölsch character.
2.9(bottle) clear deep golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of chalky malts and powdered sugar, with a light touch of green bell peppers, straw and some yeast. flavour is mostly dusty malts and caramelized grain, slightly stale, with a touch of honey, toasted burger buns and some pears in the light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.
3.3Aroma is grass, morning dew, metal. Taste is metallic, grainy, slightly grassy. Medium dry and grassy finish. Low body, high carbonation, thin texture.
2.9Clear golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, sweet malty flavour. Malty finish. Lovely old-fashioned label. The beer is mostly boring, was expecting more.

3.020-10-18 // 500ml bottle shared. Purchased at Getränke Stumpf,
Clear golden. Flat head. Malt and biscuit nose. Medium malty sweetness, biscuit. Hay. Mild bitterness. Okay.
3.4The looks of a lager but then with a head that goes away quickly. Fortunately there is more taste in the beer, grainy and malty and nice hops. Well done!

-floral yeast,apple,grain,spicy,herbal,hay
T:
-light sourness,lime,apple,grainy,spicy,herbal
F:
-medium carbonation
-light to medium body
O:
The Floral Yeast is instantly recognizable as Früh's Kölsch Yeast.
I would call it decent, but the light sourness is really not what i want in a Kölsch.
2.4500ml bottle from kiosk in Barbarossaplatz, Cologne. Golden amber beer with fluffy white head and light carbonation. Nose is light and grainy. Quite zingy and harshly bitter. Finish is grainy and sour. More like a Pils than a Kolsch.
3.00.5 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller' (Breckerfeld), best before June 2018. Clear, golden with a medium large, dense, stable, white head. Sweetish, grassy, slightly floral aroma of fresh grass, some citrus and a touch of grains. Just slightly sweet, moderately bitter, quite grassy, slightly floral taste of grains, straw and traces of citrus, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite dry, grassy and slightly metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Decent beer, definitely not bad for a traditional Kölsch, the only let-down is the metallic aftertaste. Will revisit this from tap at some point.
3.8Bottle 0,5ltr: Clear golden colored brew with an good dry bitter taste with great hoppy hints thats gives some lemony taste.
3.2Backlog, had multiple times at the Schreckenskammer - why did I never upload my notes? Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grains, fresh, biscuity, a bit citrusy. Taste is grainy, bready, a touch herbal hops and citrusy. This is my second favourite Kölsch from Cologne behind Päffgen.
3.5Glass, golden beer, small head. Aroma is malt, grain, some hops. Taste is the same ok beer.
3.4Bottle 50cl. @home poured into a Kölsch glass. Clear pale golden, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, minimal lacing; aroma pale malts, grain, bread, grass, earthy touch; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grainy, grassy; malty sweetbitter finish, light peppery touch; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; a refreshing and clean Kölsch.
2.9Klares Goldgelb mit relativ wenig Schaum. Malzig, leicht süßlich, getreidig, etwas hopfig, würzig, süffig.
3.8Draught @ Schreckenskammer. Light and fresh with notes of dark bread and herbs snd with a small metallic bitterness in the finish.
3.00,5 l Flasche. Neuer Test 2018, gebraut von Früh: Goldenes Bier, flacher Schaum. Leicht kräftiger, würziger Geschmack, etwas wenig Kohlensäure. Alter Test: Aroma: leicht würzig, malzig. Erscheinung: Goldgelbes Bier, stabiler, weißer Schaum, solide Gardine. Geschmack: Würzig, malzig süß. Würzigkeit hält sich, leicht wässrig. Gesamt: Gutes Kölsch 5/4/6/3/12
