3.0 Bottled, hazy golden with short lasting big foam, aroma of fruity paper, flavor of fruit mash and nickel, old finish
2.8 Bottle. Pours cloudy dark golden, with a minimal white head. Aroma of grainy notes, malt, and a touch of sulphur right after opening the bottle. Taste is slightly sweet, with a medium bitteness. Flavors of malt, grain, and a distinct "cellar" note. Medium body, slick texture, average to high carbonation. Tastes rather dull, not much to discuss here.
3.1 Bit of sulfur in aroma (which is acceptable) with notes of grain and malt. Cloudy dark golden in the glass with minimal head. Taste is semi dry with malty character which is dominant and some grainy touch with minimal herbal bitterness, also sulfur in the background. Good job!
3.3 Tap at Tahoe AleworX. Golden pour. Aroma grassy and floral, with a touch of honey grain sweetness and an ever so slight hop bight. Pleasant and refreshing.
3.4 Bottle from Sprout's: Appearance was a golden liquid topped with minimal head. Aroma is mild and smells sweet with honey while oats and corn flake cereal fill in the rest. The flavor is bland with minimal corn, oats, and rice flavors and only a touch of sweetness. Still a balanced beer that is easily quaffable but overall a very tamed beer.
2.4 Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 7C). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 11410 (BBF 10.08.17). AROMA: mild cardboard aroma mixed with faint malt notes. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and very slightly hazy. medium white head with medium retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with slight cardboard and faint malt. medium-low to low bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a pils type beer past due that demands re-tasting.
3.0 Pours hazy, dirtied golden, with a nice creamy lasting white cap. Nose has stewed spicy hop, grain, old damp cellar, white bread, dried hay. The taste starts spicy and quite zesty, has a grainy middle, some breadcrumbs, and finish bitter and quite dry. Aftertaste has some bitter noble hop and some dusty husks. Body’s nice and creamy. A decent enough kellerbier, but not exactly best in style.
2.6 Aroma of malts and grains. Small head disappearing to ring. Straw cloudy colour. Malty sweetness in taste with some grains and not very intensive herbal bitterness.
2.7 golden pilsener despite it is called naturtrüb. aroma and taste somehow to sweet. malty aroma at the beginning
2.7 Flip-top bottle, pours hazy orange-gold with a fine head, light peppery hay and distant orange on the nose, dry-bitter and a slightly creamy texture that makes it more interesting than the average dull Pils.
2.5 bottiglia 50 cl, schiuma bianca fine evanescente, colore giallo oro torbida, al naso malto intenso, carbonatazione bassa, in bocca malto e nota erbacea, corpo medio basso, acidula, poco amara.
2.0 Boca 0.5L - iz ’Obećane zemlje’ - ništa posebno, kao i o lageru tako i o ovom stilu je teško napisati neki dojam
2.5 5.0% slightly hazy gold in colour with a good head, a bit of a lager aroma and the taste is a bit bitter
2.6 Really smells quite nice. Grassy and malty, with a medium orange-yellow appearance. Unfortunately it doesn’t taste quite as good as it smells. The flavor is a bit cloying but not in a sweet way, just sticky with a below-average flavor and a too thin finish. If this tasted half as good as the aroma it’d be quite nice.
2.3 Bottle, from Lidl. Hazy lemon gold, fluffy and lasting white head, gentle condition. Low fruity maltiness in the nose, some fruitiness in the mouth but quickly becomes quite dry and yeast bitter, some hop notes are apparent but are a little metallic. Finish is brief and fruity sweet with a touch of yeastiness.
3.4 Bottle from Aldi, pours hazy pale yellow with a thick white head. Aroma light citrus, lemon, grass & fresh bread. Taste is sweet with more bread, citrus & grassy notes ,quite delicate . Light bodied & smooth the finish is slightly dry with delicate citrus ,biscuit & bread flavours . A good refresher!
3.1 From aldi, some fresh grass hops, good clean taste, with a touch of sweetness and spice on the finish. Tasty, and amazingly good value for money
3.0 Bottle from Aldi, Manchester. Hazy yellow with next to no head. Clearly unfiltered, there’s a sweetness to the beer alongside a light fruitiness, and it’s all quite tasty.
3.1 Bottle, Aldi, Wigston. Hazy yellow gold with an off white head. Bready yeast. Herbal, light lemon with floral notes. Minerals. Leafy bitterness on the finish. OK.
3.0 Bottle from Aldi. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a rocky head that soon fades. Typical aromas of bready yeast and grassy, floral hop. Sweet start then a bitterness which is a little harsh. Well-carbonated so lively on the palate and finishes dry. Not bad.
3.5 Glad to see DanielBrown giving this a good score: I do think there’s a tendency to pre-judge these mass-produced cheapies, as if we’re looking for validation for seeking out the more esoteric brews. 500 ml bottle from ALDI, poured into a Budweiser version of an English pint This has a bit of farmyard straw aroma, a hazy gold body with a white head. Bread, lemon sourness and apples, Light bodied crisp and refreshing.
3.4 500ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy light gold with a medium head. Aroma is eggy lemon with a little grain. Taste has grain and corn to start with a wheaty, bready finish.
3.3 500ml Flip-top bottle from a local Aldi, drank at home on 23rd Sep 2016. Misty golden yellow body wise, large and almost lasting white blanket of foam for a head. Citrusy nose and flavour with some biscuit like sweetness also, yeast and a mild spiciness within the taste adding extra flavours. Decent, liked it.
3.7 Bottle from Aldi. Disappointed and slightly hurt by some of the low scores here. Really enjoyed this hazy pleasure giver. Lemon, wheat biscuit malt. Good length of flavour, crisp, full. One of the better Kellers that I’ve tried.
3.0 Bottle, pours a hazy dull light gold color with a fluffy white head. The smell is yeasty, some lemon zest, grainy. The taste is as it smells with a somewhat dry ending. Light in body with average carbonation. Not too bad...
3.4 Cloudy golden nice tight thick head, Sweet bready aroma with taste to follow bit fruity with gentle bitter spice balance. V tasty and great value form aldi.
2.9 Bottle from aldi, great Barr. Cloudy pale yellow beer with large head. Aroma of bread and malts. Taste is bread, some yeast, malts and a little pepper. Ok.
2.8 Bottle. Aldi. Very hazy, lemon juice gold. Thin, dense, lasting, bright white head. Nice looker. Nose has straw. Sweet grass. Hint of lemon rind hop. Taste is quite sweet and bready. Light, metallic bitterness. Light body, verging on thin. Light, metallic finish.
1.4 - hellgelbe Farbe mit ganz leichter zarter Schaumbildung - zarte – kaum wahrnehmbare - grasig saure Aromen - gut carbonisiert - geschmacklich bleibt dieses säuerliche erhalten - erst im Abgang kommt noch eine Hopfenbitternis hinzu - durchschnittliches Kellerbier Fazit: Sehr mäßiges Industrie-Kellerbier
3.4 Bottle . Pours a pale, hazy gold with a high, creamy, mixed-grained white head that leaves a bit of lace. Nose is lemon, strong yeast, bread dough, and stinky cheese -- it just smells really fermented without being spoiled, and I dig that. Strong and rustic on the tongue; more fermentation, almost to the point of acetic but not quite. Elements of rye bread, pickles, roast nuts, and a little honeyed sweetness. It drinks like a darker beer than it is. Finish is long and turns a little sweeter. Definitely a beer with a bit of a feral snarl to it, and that’s cool.
