3.2 This is a German pils. Yes it is, it totally tastes like one, I swear it.
4.0 500ml bottle. Pours a clear, bright gold, with a strong head and good lacing. The aroma is all hops - floral, grassy and slightly sweet. There is an unusual sweetness up front, as the beer enters the mouth, followed by strong, spicy pilsener hops. This flows into an enjoyable malt finish, tempered by the same lovely hops. A great example of the German interpretation of the pilsener style.
3.0 Big foamy pour, straw colour. Nse is straw and grass. In the mouth it is medium bodied and quite snappy. Perhaps a bit old but was still quite enjoyable.
3.1 Swing top bottle. Clear pale yellow/straw colour with a white head. Mostly malt & fragrant hop aromas.Malt present at first then hops after. Not to bad.
3.1 pours out gold with a finger thick bubbly white head that fell at a medium rate. the body is oh so slightly hazy and golden orange in color with good co2. the aromas are nice and smell balanced with the aromatic hops and sweet malts. theres also some slight hay and cereal with a slight touch of pungent yeast. it is light to medium bodied and really balanced and almost smooth. could pair really well with all kinds of foods. has a nice flavor and just a tad watery. aftertaste is light and really nice. i would definatley drink and enjoy this on a hot day, good abv for this style.
2.6 500 ml bottle a golden yellow colored beer with a white head aroma malts and some hop taste malts hop and some sweetness
3.2 Bottle - Clear gold with fluffy white head. Good lacing. Medium carbonation and body. Smooth, slightly oily mouth feel. Sweet, malty, with a good dose of floral hop flavour. Also a little grass and citrus. Medium bitterness. A pleasant, crisp and refreshing pils.
1.6 Bottle. Poured a warm amber golden in color with a pure white head, quite a bit of sediment. Sediment in a pilsener? Did I get a bottle from a bad batch? I must have, because the aroma was funky, flavor was funky and off, and the sediment was not pleasant at all, almost chunky. Blegch.
3.2 (bottle) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of floral hops, with light notes of grain, bubblegum, caramel and a somewhat irritating hint of rubber. flavour is quite the same, floral hops are dominant, again with light notes of rubber. light body with medium carbonation and a pleasantly bitter finish.
3.2 A sweet pilsner, but great for summer. Was a good tailgating beer that went down nice and smooth.
3.3 Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivnizub. It pours a golden beer with a nice white head which leaves a some pretty lace. Interesting aroma of mandarin orange, lime, hops, papaya and malt. Biscuity pale malt profile showing up which is accompanied by nice hops in the taste. Good balance. Decent bitterness. Medium bodied. Citrusy dry finish. Clearly a quality classical german pils- very nice. Thanks a lot pivnizub!
2.6 On tap for growler fills at Half-Time. Pours a sort of candy yellow with a thin white head. Light citrus, but very faint, and really empty. A little bit sweet, but mostly just bitter grains, a touch acrid. Cigarette butts, paper, and cardboard. Better than most macros, but still not something I’d generally drink. Probably a decent enough lawnmower or campfire and hotdog beer though I’d imagine.
2.5 (bottle - 500 ml swingtop) Clear gold color with lots of carbonation but surprisingly little head. Aroma is hay and dry grass mixed with some light hops and a touch of sweetness. Some apple notes as well. Flavor is dry and sweet at the beginning with a very mild and stale hop backbone. Lots of sweetness permeates the body at the finish but leaves a dry and bitter aftertaste.
3.0 Kind of a darker clear golden body with a thick 3 finger head. Good lacing. Smell is average of hay, hops, and light malt. Taste is a bit sweet at first but a solid hop ending that balances it well. High carbonation and an earthy feel to it.
3.0 Not bad. Little sweeter and maltier than most pils. Gives it a little outside the box character, but on the other hand, maybe not really in the right direction. Poured from the little swing top bottle that foamed over when opened with a medium white head and a tiny bit of lace. Color is a light to medium amber. Aroma is grainy, malty, hint of hop, and honey sweet. Flavor is the same but more intense. Body is decent. Interestingly, bitterness comes out more in the finish.
2.4 500ml bottle. Soft white foam head that sat atop a golden amber coloured medium bodied beer with a good balance of carbonation. Aroma was average and nothing really distinctive. mild and pleasant flavour.
3.1 pours copper orange with thin beige head, the aroma is toffee and the flavor is sweet caramel.
3.6 Bottle. Pours hazy dark golden/yellow. Earthy hops, biscuity malt. Low carbo, slightly slick. Taste is very good. Good Pils.
2.7 12oz Bottle purchased from Hi-Times. Pours a coppered gold, with a light haze and a frothy white head. Cracker-like pilsener malt character, heading towards oldness. Tinted with slightly metallic bitter hops. Flavor is wet, rusty, and and oxidized. Sloppy. Grains are messy. This just isn’t snappy or desirable. The hops are dusty, the beer oxidized. Ugh.
2.8 Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head. Sweet malty body with a thin earthiness. Light citrus accents and some mild lemon acidicty. Grain and a light earthiness. Kevin this ratings for you!
2.0 A nice looking golden brew with a thin white head, dull scent, and bitter taste, lacking all crispness and depth, and a sour aftertaste. Very disappointing for the genre.
3.2 Thin head of fine bubbles. Good carbonation. Light bready malts, lemon grass and some hops. Clor is a clear golden orange. Flavor is light bready malts again with some sweetness and grainy notes. Even though it is light on flavor, I am still enjoying this brew. Not as dry and as sharp as I would have expected. Finishes smooth and a bit on the creamy side. A decent and enjoyable pilsner. Better than expected.
2.6 Clear blond coloured beer with some very light carbonation and an average white head. Fresh hoppy grassy light sweet aroma. Medium palate, light sweet touched. Finish is light bitter with some sweet hoppy hints. Longer dry finish. Medium pilsener.
3.3 Pours a slightly hazed golden into the glass, with a thin white ring that leaves tiny soap lace that dissipates quickly. Lots of country silage, sour grains and some grass to the nose. Some tannic grape notes, along with grains and hay flavors intermix with some melon and citrus in the mid-palate. A straw and earthen-hopped finish lingers slightly on the back-palate. A decent German Pils, and complex enough with a decent body and medium mouthfeel. Nice countryside effervescence, with lightly toying carbonation levels... just this side of a "flat" seltzer, yet creamy somehow. Definitely improves at it warms, opening up stronger farming silage and grain/hay notes. Certainly a nice take on one of my "not-so-favorite" genres.
3.4 Comes in a fancy swing top bottle which I suspect is the main reason it is exported to Australia but it turns out to be quite an individualistic German pilsner. Pours a straw yellow colour with an ample white head. Nose of dry grassy hops and pepper. Taste of bitter grainy malt with further grassy hops. Slight citrus tinge in there as well. Dry bitter hoppy finish that lingers in the mouth. Medium bodied. Gets smoother and more integrated further down the bottle.
3.3 bottle - light yellow beer with white head. Very nice hay aroma. Flavour of malt and hay. Good Pils.
3.3 It wasn’t bad. I couldn’t remember too much of it because it was my last beer of the day and it was during oktoberfest. Yeah I can’t remember anything.
3.0 I was intoxicated at this point but I remember it being a good beer. The pop top was nice and fun and best of all safe. It prevented the cap from flying around and potentially hitting a small child in the eye. Obviously I was intoxicated at the time I wrote my thought on this beer. I am just repeated what I wrote at the time I enjoyed it.
4.5 When someone is able to take a very basic beer, i.e. a German Pilsner, using only ordinary ingredients, without showy flair or fancy addiditves, and does that to perfection, then that is a beer worthy of high praise. This is that beer. Wonderful grassy flavor with a balance of sweet and subtle bitterness this is a drinkable but complex product. Best of its kind.
3.2 500ml bottle: poured light yellow with a medium white head. Moderate aroma of grape and apple. Flavor is crisp with apple and grape, finishing up with a nice bitterness. Good.
