3.8 Wow not what I expected. Tasted like real apricot, not artificial or overpowering or underwhelming. I dont drink fruity beers but this was well worth the try. Great wheat beer with a apricot aroma and taste although not sweet. A soft refreshing beer. Rated unjustly by the beer snobs on here
2.9 Location: Sampled at Living Social Beerfest, 12/6/13 Aroma: The nose is apricot/fruity and wheat mostly, as you’d expect Appearance: It pours a a hazed yellow color with an off-white head on it Flavor: The flavor is similar, fruity, sweet, and a little wheat Palate: The body is light-medium, with a fairly clean, refreshing finish on the mouth Overall Impression: This certainly isn’t a great beer, but for what it is trying to be it works decently. As far as this style goes, you could certainly do a lot worse.
2.6 Draught at the brewpub in Orlando. Clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of apricot and wheat.
2.5 bottled, thanks to Deano, orange amber color with no foam, aroma and flavor is decent apricot, not too sugary, plain watery finish
3.1 Draught @ So. Portland Pub: This one ours a clear golden color. There was almost no head: just a wisp of a white head. There was no lacing. The aroma is lighter. Faint apricot and wheat. Apricot taste, but not overpowering. Wheat in background. Refreshing.
1.9 Clear, honey gold with a small, white head. Scent is.....apricot...peach. Taste is.....apricot...peach. It’s not really up my alley, but it IS what it says it is. Too sweet, too fruity, too soft.
2.6 The beers appears okay with a very clear golden color to it, which is weird because wheat beers are typically a little hazy. There was very little head but beer was well carbonated. The smell instantly comes off with an obvious apricot smell, mild wheat and yeast scents too. The taste is okay with a solid yeasty wheat flavor and a mild following of apricot, but definitely a lot of carbonation, almost like drinking soda water. The mouthfeel is mediocre with some mild bitterness and lingering wheat but fades fast. Overall, this beer is okay, it tastes great after being outside all day in the hot sun but nothing impressive and not even close to the best apricot wheat Ive ever had.
2.1 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a clear golden color with plenty of evident carbonation. The head is a creamy one finger off-white shade. It doesn’t fade so much as slowly settle after a while. S: I do get a little bit of apricot...but I also get something else. BUTTER. More specifically, buttered popcorn. Hey, this is brewed by Shipyard, so I guess it’s not really a surprise. While I don’t like the aroma, I can’t help inhaling this - it’s like a car crash for the olfactory senses. T: Can you say diacetyl bomb? It really opens the brew up in a not-so-pleasing manner. Give it a few more sips, and the buttered popcorn flavor gradually turns into a generic apricot one. About the only good thing here is that it’s not (massively) cloying. All that diacetyl doin’ it’s job, I s’pose. M: Carbonation is strong, but not harsh. It still makes me gassy, though. Nor did I expect it to be this dry - or maybe I should say less dry than the typical fruit beer. Like I said, at least it’s not cloying. O: This one is no good, but not horrible enough to drainpour. Basically a case of right idea, wrong execution. Next!
2.7 From the 12 fl. oz. bottle no 0234P. It pours a golden yellow color with a quick lasting white fizzy head that diminishes right away. The nose is about 85% apricot and 15% anything else if I can find it. Not much wheat that I notice but maybe some clean, crisp hops. The body is light and refreshing. The taste is immensely fruity sweet with a hint of clean hops finishing it up. I can see how this might be appealing on a 90 degree hot and humid day. An acquired taste.
4.0 OK first off the aroma, who does not like apricots. Second Appearance, who does not like a bottle with a big fluffy white dog wearing a yellow rain hat, third taste, who does not like any beer at work. Fourth palate, who does not like the taste of fruit after drinking a beer, and finally overall not a bad beer. Not my favorite but at work It is a nice break from running the chainsaw, if you know what I mean. My wife’s mother’s girlfriend would definitely drink this fruity beer. Im al for that. Oh, dont forget your BigRed with this one. I know my wife’s mother’s girlfrind was chewing on Big Red after she drank a few of these.
2.3 Pours a clear gold with dissipating white head. Aroma is wheat and apricot, metallic. Taste follows, sweet and shitty.
1.4 Aromas of apricot, sourdough bread, and cheap perfume. Clear yellow with a barely lasting, off-white head. Dry, fruity, tastes more like peaches and cream than apricot, and a little harsh at the end. Light-medium bodied, low carbonation, and finishes with some astringency.
2.9 Light clear yellow with tiny white head. Aroma is sickly fruit sweet, apricot. Taste starts sweet and nice but dies a bitter acrid death. Palate is drinkable and frothy.
2.8 Tap. Pours clear gold with a small, frothy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is apricot and spicy wheat malt. Flavor is apricot and light malt with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
2.9 Draft at the source. Cloudy yellow color. Very, very apricotty aroma and flavor, wheat is in the background.
2.3 12 oz. bottle labeled as Kennebunkport Apricot Wheat. Purchased @ Trader Joe’s. Nose is tangy apricots. Flavor is water downed wheat and some apricot juice. Watery thin body. It’s like drinking carbonated, watered down fruit juice. This is a sorry excused of a fruit beer. Well, it was only $1.17 for a bottle. But spend that dollar elsewhere.
3.4 NICe and sweet ut not too strong. Quite nice aorma and enjoyable for a while if you are not fond of bitters.
2.5 12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a nice clear bubbly amber with a nice white head and some lacing. The aroma is very nice, strong apricots essence combined with some malt hints. Taste on the other hand is actually kind of watery; grain flavors combined with some apricots and some yeast. Refreshing and worth trying but definitely not great.
3.4 On tap @ Nobi Public House .. . pours a orange tan .. . really good foam, medium lacing .. . apricot pit and skin, light wheat .. . clean and refreshing for the most part .. . . the donkeys took him away!?! .. yes, i think they’re gonna have a party....
2.8 Orange with a thin white head. Apricot aroma, wheat and apricot taste. Not overly sweet, which is nice.
2.7 12oz bottle, twist off cap. Clear yellow / orange color. Thin white head. Fades to minimal. Leaves no lace. Lighter body. Reasonably crisp carbonation. Really no nose. Apricot and wheat flavor. Tangy sweet taste. Really, not terrible. Better than expected. Wouldn’t want more than 1 though.
3.1 bottle..amber light orange color. smells sweet and citruy. everything iis artificial here like a slush puppy but i kin of like it more then hate it
2.6 Clear orange with a few particles, minimal head. Strong apricot aroma. Not quite as strong in the flavor - mostly wheat/citrus, then a bit of apricot sweetness to finish. Not as cloying as a lot of fruit beers I’ve tried, but nothing that stands out either.
3.8 Pours a medium gold with a white head with no sheeting. Nose is a touch of perfume. Palate is medium body with light apricot with wheat malt and slight bitterrness.
1.9 Pours a slightly hazy orange. Aroma is sweet apricot. Front-end of flavor is all apricots, and nothing light about the flavor. Might as well be a mixed drink. Back-end though is weak and bready. Not fantastic. Although I’ve had worse fruit beers, this isn’t one I’d try again.
2.3 Pours clear orange. No head. Smell is all apricot...smells like juice. Taste is fizzy apricot and grass. Slightly metallic. Thin body.
2.8 Strong apricot aroma....pours orange with small white head... What I expected..for a fruit beer it is what it is..not offensive in the least but nothing I wanna drink all night
3.8 Pours a clear golden yellow with active carbonation. Aroma of fresh apricots and light grain. Taste is sweet with notes of apricot followed by a cool crispness of the wheat and hops. The taste fades with a slightly tart lingering flavor. Refreshing not overdone. Good for a fruit beer.
2.2 12 ounce bottle purchased at Total Wine Pembroke Pines, FL at $7.99/6-pack. Not good.
2.8 Bottle. The pour was a clear light amber with a large (2-3 finger) white rocky head that diminished rapidly, down to a small collar with fair spotty lacing. The aroma was all about the apricots with a light grain malt and a sweet yeast and had a mild note of peach and a hint of berry. The taste was sweet and just a tad acidic with a large apricot presence throughout with the finish having a slight sweet berry undertone. The flavor lasted a very short duration proceeding the swallow with a sweet watery ending. Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a medium carbonation. Overall a Wheat Beer with hardly any wheat flavor, in fact the apricot flavor was so engulfing that basically that was all you tasted...
