2.5 Pours a hazy medium yellow with a white head that leaves lacing and thin white head. Nose is resinous. Taste is medium malt with heavy hop bitterness that lingers. Thre is alack of balance between the hops and malt with emphasis on the hops. 12 oz can
3.4 Medium clear amber, very light, almost watery. Flavor is really good, combination of a little fruit and floral.
3.3 12 ounce can from Total Wine in Medford, some tropical notes, even keel on all fronts.
3.6 Solid well balanced IPA. Hops have pine and bread, light grapefruit, with nice subtle bite and bitterness.
3.4 On tap at some BBQ place near lake Sebago. Nose is of fruity hops, a little muted. Taste is also fruity with a moderate bitterness. Body is medium and carbonation too. Certainly a fair option when in the area but not that polished.
3.0 Well, it is hoppy. Not sure they put the hops to best use. More out-of-control bitterness dampened slightly by the faint malt character.
3.7 Can. Clear Amber pour with a finger of white head. Citrus, bread, pine, grapefruit, caramel. Medium body. Smooth and soft carbonation with soft bitter finish. Nice with seafood
3.4 Hazy orange and a thin white head. Crisp grapefruit nose. Full bodied and very fresh hop flavor. Crisp a bit bready and dry citrus finish
3.4 12 ounce can. Pours a pale yellow with a nice white head. Nose is pine, with undercurrents of citrus and malt. Taste is moderately bitter. Decent IPA.
3.7 Gold pour, luscious white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, pine pot, caramel, and flavors of blood orange, grapefruit, pine, caramel... soft and nutty.
3.7 Location: 12 oz bottle from Nikki’s Liquors, 4/30/15 Aroma: It has strongly fruity aroma, grapefruit/orange, caramel, and some herbal notes. Appearance: The pour is clear orange with a clean white head, and some fairly strong lacework. Flavor: The flavor is solid, not quite as good as the aroma, nice sweetness/bitterness balance. Palate: The mouthfeel is clean, with a medium body, average carbonation, and a mid-dry finish. Overall Impression: This is a good, solid IPA. It isn’t a top of style offering, but I would happily drink it again.
3.6 Sebago Brewing Co, Portland, ME, draft. Good lacing. Golden and clear. Very drinkable. Crisp, mellow and refreshing.
3.2 12oz bottle into glass. Pours a cloudy marmalade amber. Head is hefty, large, 3cm, and full. Aroma is piney, fresh cedar, dry melon. Taste is bitter hops, bitter orange, floral qualities, and sweet tarts. I hear abv is at 6, that seems more appropriate. OK IPA from Maine, but there’s better out there.
4.0 Pours a copper color with a fair white head......aroma of mostly pine (which could be smelled when the crown was removed), slight citrus......taste is much heavier citrus than the aroma let on, adequate mouthfeel, pine in the background, well bittered and quite a clean finish.....nicely built ale.
3.4 12 oz bottle pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of malts, grass and citrus. Taste is citrus and malts.
3.3 A mild IPA. Not bad but not good either. Amber color with a modest head. Faint aroma, might be hops? Taste is mostly malts not much of the hops promised by the brewers description. Finish is clean. A middle of the road IPA.
3.6 12 oz bottle. Pours a golden honey color with a medium white head. Aroma of fruity hops, grassy notes and grainy malts. Taste of fruity hops, faint grapefruit and grainy malt.
3.3 Bottle. Subtle hops on the nose, moderate bitterness, decent grainy malt finish. Not bad
4.0 had a bottle got for me when a friend was out in the states. really enjoyed this beer shame i can’t find in anywhere in the uk if you find it please get it
4.0 Draft in Bar Harbor. Pours clear gold with a white head. Nose is peach. Taste is pine. Dry finish.
3.9 Blonde. Bien houblonné. Amertume franche. Résineuse. Fruit tropicaux. Ananas. Légère et désaltérante.
3.7 Draft cask. Pours orange with thick bubbly white head that lingers. Medium hop aroma over mild carbonation. Reasonably complex medium hop flavor with grapefruit and lemon flavors.
2.4 No really hop or malt profile. Nose is non-existent and the head disappear quickly as will this beer from your memory
3.5 On tap at the Kennebunk location. An amber pour with a ring of white head; floral aroma; the taste is piney at first, but then developing some grapefruit citrus; the finish is dry, warming and satisfying. A very drinkable IPA that’s not as assertive as some, but still packs a punch.
3.4 12 ounce bottle. Thanks John! Pours a pale gold with a nice white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, and malt. Taste is grapefruit, pine, malt, and floral. Decent IPA.
3.1 A load of floral hops with some faint caramel undertones. Opaque orange appearance. Cutting bitter start, but finishes a disappointing wash out of dry malt. Body is dry as well, needs more snap though. It’s almost within the session range which is nice as few IPA’s are without deliberately giving something away. Decent east coast style brew.
3.0 Draft at Sebago with Andrew, Jay and Kramer. Pours a light golden body with thin white lacing. Aroma is pine, bitter hop and soap. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with notes of bitter citrus hop, pine and soap. Some malt and grain in the finish as well.
3.6 Keg at the Portland branch. Pours clear gold, mildly effervescent with a lingering, white cream head. The aroma gives off strong perfume notes, some bubblegum, citrus. Medium sweet flavor with balanced sweetness, more perfume, floral hops, mandarin orange, pale bread. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Decent hoppy finish, moderately sweet, further floral character. Not bad.
2.8 355ml bottle. Nice, unfiltered look. Taste really didn’t do it for me on this one. Aggressively earthy to the point of dirt, mild grapefruit, malt got totally lost. Not nearly well balanced enough to be truly enjoyed.
3.3 Bottle on the beach, York, ME. Not a bad IPA, but nothing special either, drinkable. Says "Maine’s legendary IPA", I imagine there are some better ones.
