3.0 330 ml bottle bought in a small shop in Milos, Greece. It pours golden, with a medium, white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, notes of honey. Taste is medium bitter. Body is medium to full, carbonation is fine.
4.0 330ml bottle. Pours clear amber with a tall off-white head. Aroma is honey, toasted grain, floral. Taste is light sweet, honey, grain, toffee, citrus. Moderate bitter finish. Really drinkable and just really enjoyable too. Have never really cared for this style, but this one made my day.
3.5 Bottle, Crete, April 2018. Wow. Some beer to happen upon in a modestly sized GK supermarket. How things have changed. It’s aggressively fizzy but I’ll take it all day long. And most of tomorrow too. Spicy, resinous, fresh-pinched hop cone aroma with preserved lemon, marmalade, tea, grapefruit. Hop-forward with enough tonic and grapefruit punch to counter the honey, not identifiable blind. Some peppery lowlands heat and almond. Second fiddle to hops. Orange with a wisp of bits and fine collar leaving a narrow halo. Impressive again. And I don’t usually like beeshit in my beer.
3.0 Bottle. Pours golden with medium white head. Aroma is fresh, soap, some citrus, sweet notes. Taste is bitter, citrus, soap, some wheat, hardly noticeable honey. Drinkable beer!
3.5 3/12/2018. Bottle at Agora Select Restaurant, Athens. Pours dark amber with a nice sized lasting off-white head. Aroma of rich honey, toffee, hops, fruit and grain. Medium to heavy sweetness with moderate bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average to soft carbonation.
3.0 Tap at Barley Cargo, Athens. A sweet aroma and taste. Nothing remarkable...
3.1 Bottle ordered online from Maltby & Greek, drunk at home. Light to mid-gold and clear with a large of-white head. Light floral scent with some honey, cooking herbs, yeast rolls with apple butter, forest floor. Sweet taste with some intense raw grain bitterness and honeyed notes. Aftertaste is bitter and bordering on astringent. I could take or leave this one.
3.4 0,33 l bottle from Zero Cafe Bar, Kos. Unclear pale copper on the glass, small head. Honey floral hopy smell. Taste starts malty, british influences, toasted grainy. Some hop in the second row. Honey in the background. Little bit dry to the end. Nice.
3.3 Bottle. Golden and white color. Aroma: flowers, honey, fruity, sweetness and a little corn sticks. Taste: sweet, honey, candy, tea, fruit, citrus and herbs, noticeable hop bitterness, a bit earthy, not bad.
3.2 Aromă plăcută, flori, mult polen, miere. Gust ușor dulce, cu multă miere de mai (de flori de salcâm), puțină amăreală de frunze uscate. Bună, dar simplă și cam nebalansată.
4.2 I had this while on vacation on the Greek isles. Of all the couple dozen Greek beers I tried, Septem. of which I tried several, made the best beers by far. Small bottle pours clear gold with small creamy white head and lacing. Aroma: honey, biscuit, apricots, peaches, floral. Flavor: succulent honeycomb, fresh apricots, buttery shortbread, some prickly hopiness at the finish; very tasty. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, somewhat creamy finish.
Equilibrada.Interesante
3.8 On tap, half-pint @ The Old Fishing Shack @ CY. The guy who owns the place has more than 150 kind of beers. Possibly he is the most knowlegable guy about beers. He knows everything about them, so after my meal he suggested to try this. Not so sweet, not so bitter, perfect as a small 'dessert'. Dark golden with white foam, absolutely a honey-driven nose, but on the palate it's just enough sweet and enough bitter. Perfect balance and a great sweet and bitter aftertaste. Very nice beer, i'm absolutely amazed. The aftertaste is so amazing after 10 mins u can still feel it. Genious stuff...
3.7 bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Kornwestheim. Hazy golden with a tall white head and floral-honey-ish nose. Full-bodied, good malty base with blossom honey detectable, but not very sweet. Yeasty fruity touch in the far background. Floral overall character, with a shy but pleasantly floral-citrusy hoppy finish. Very well balanced, the honey comes through perfectly.
3.3 330ml bottle. Clear, orangey, dark golden colour with small to average, frothy, fading, white head. Floral hoppy and sweet-ish, grainy aroma, hints of honey, chamomile, a resinous touch. Taste is slightly bitter, floral hoppy, minimally sweet, grainy, malty basis with a touch of honey, corn flakes, etc., indications of chamomile and resin; the relatively high abv becomes noticeable in the finish. A nice brew.
4.0 Draft @ Barley Cargo, Athens. Just slightly cloudy golden ale, foamy offwhite head. Golden ale sweet malts blending very well with nuanced blossomy, floral honey notes. Good body, medium carbonation.
2.9 Clear gold color with medium white head. Sweet taste where honey is surely present.Medium carbonation. Overall a very pleasant beer easy to drink
3.5 330ml bottle at home. Clear golden color with a white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrusy and slightly malty. Sweet taste with bitter finish. Flavor is similar to the aroma. Medium body and soft carbonation.
3.3 Found at a random supermarket on the edge of Athens. Pours with bigly white head, slight fog on yellow. Nice sharp hops aroma, some honey candy, vague grain. Flavour is soft honey buried in a crisp pale ale, cracker and brown sugar. Crisp finish. So, there are Greek breweries making good stuff after all!
3.4 Bottle @ random cafe in Athens. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, honey, fruits, flowers, malt and has a nice sweet honey and hop finish.
3.9 Citrusy and hoppy aromas, taste is a bit sweet with mild bitterness. One of the best "commercial" Greek beers out there.
3.3 330ml bottle purchased at BeerShop in Athens Greece for 2.30euro. Very good
2.5 Slightly hazy golden, topped with small whit head, slowly settling. Slight grassy nose with sweet honey presence. Taste sweet, honey presence with quite decent hoppy bitterness, grassy - although a bit sharp with metallic touch. Medium body, shorter aftertaste. Not the best one, but still decent.
3.4 Bottle. Pours rich light amber with foamy off-white head, honey aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter spicy honey taste, smooth body, long finish. Quite nice.
3.5 мне понравилось данное пиво, приятный аромат и мед не навящивый, легким тоном дополняет картину
1.2 roasty, herbs, earthy, alcohol, golden, clear, rocky head, medium sweetness, very bitter, heavily sour, salty, thin feel, light body, average carbonation, bitter, ’Very bad beer.
3.1 Lys brun lett tåkete med høyt offwhite skum. Lukter karamell og honning. Lett. Noe sitrusbitterhet, lett noe brent honning, honningen er kunn i bakgrunnen. Kort.
3.1 Piwo miedziane opalizujące. Piana ładna, trwała, delikatnie lepi szkło. W aromacie karmel, miód, owoce. W smaku dominuje karmel, miód. Średnia pełnia, niskie wysycenie. Dość pijalne.
