2.012oz bottle to nonic. Pours clear straw, dissipating head. Aroma of cracker, grass. Taste of same with corn, honey, butter, citrus. Light body, heavy carb.
2.0Golden pour, simple body. Weak aroma. Pretty standard sub-par lager. Not a lot of character in any capacity. Not even heavy in ABV.
3.6Aroma includes a light grain, grass. One finger of snow like head tops a clear light gold body. Tastes of light grainy and hay. Light bitterness. Crisp, clean and light bodied. Refreshing yet not wimpy.
2.6Clear Pale Yellow Color, Small White Head That Diminishes to a Thin Ring That Lasts Through Out, Just A Few Spots of Lacing. Highly Carbonated, Kinda Hard To Drink. Faint aroma of soggy wet malt. Some Sweet Grain, Light Malt, Dusty Bitter. Easy Going. Bland And Forgettable as Nothing Stands Out. Thirst Quencher At Best. OK For What it Is. Pass It...
3.0Originally rated on 10/8/06. Aromas and flavors of hay, wheat a very faint hint of hops. Average mouthfeel, overall its o.k. better than most B/M/C products.
2.9Pours yellow and clear. Aroma is grainy., not unpleasant. Taste is lightly malty, a bit sweet, barely perceptible hops I think. Decent carbonation but thin.
3.712 ounce bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, light toast, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, biscuit, light toast, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.4%. Overall this is a nice pale lager style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
2.8Crystal clear light gold. Almost fully dissipating white head. Grain, grass, corn, with a mild honey sweetness. Bigger Light body. Carbonation is crisp enough. Mild grassy bitterness. Fine for a premium lager, not offensive, but not something I’m compelled to come back to.
1.5Not much of an aroma, taste like a slightly higher quality bud light, a litghter PBR. Not terrible, but just a ’beer’ Leaves a slightly rotten taste in your mouth like cheap beer, but not as bad as cheap ber.
3.112 oz. bottle. Poors golden with medium head that quickly diminishes. Taste of corn, grain and sweetness. I liked this beer.
2.5Bottle from Capital Market. Golden in color. Grainy nose with a bit of soapiness. A little sour as well. Grainy flavors with a little bit of wet cardboard. A hint of hops in the finish.
2.3Mom picked up a variety case while visiting my Uncle in Texas. This was labeled as Shiner Premium Beer. A very typical American lager. Light golden color with a white head. A somewhat soapy aroma. Easy drinking without a much flavor. A summer lawn mowing beer.
2.612 oz. Bottle poured into pint glass from sampler 12 pack. Premium Lager. Light and easy.
2.4pours clear very light golden with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. lots of apple fruitiness - unsweetened apple sauce, pale cereals - some husks and cheap white bread, corn, ginger candies, musty white grapes - their juice; almost rotten fruitiness - over-ripened pear juice; grassy and spicy, cardboard traces. light carbonation, light body, balanced and almost crisp herbal-grassy finish. past its prime perhaps, but far from horrid.
2.8Typical lager aroma grains and yeast. Pours a pale gold color with a lasting white well laced head. Moderate carbonation, with a light body, taste of grains. Short lasting grassy finish.
3.1This was tasted not as the "Blonde" but as the "Premium" :
Poured from a very cold 12 oz. dark brown bottle into a thick lager glass (w/ a glass handle on it); a full flowery hit; very light coloring, almost like a "lite" type hue, but not; i like the taste, another M.O.R. brew that’s rather kicked back w/ an ez yeasty after-taste lingering; light body with a steady flow of effervescence; and overall, very likable, drinkable, enjoyable.
3.0Shiner’s premium beer is a decent thirst quencher. Light clear, golden appearance. Neutral flavor of malt, some corn and/or rice, mildly hopped. It is not a light beer by definition but it is a sessionable brew if one is so inclined. As a summer style beer it does the job. I would definitely pick this up over any BMC product if I had the choice.
3.3Can’t say much... It is very, very reminiscent of Budweiser. From the smell, appearance, all the way down to the taste. Not bad, not great, but it’ll do nicely.
2.9Medium gold with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Well-balanced and refreshing. Nothing offensive, rather good actually.
2.1bottled - drinkable but definitely nothing special. Very pale golden color. Not much aroma. Malt character. ok.
3.412 oz. bottle, a gift from my sis. This is a crystal clear blonde with good carbonation and a small white head The aroma is crackery with hints at corn on the cob, earthy hops and is free of flaws. The body is pretty light, expectedly so. This is really a decent lager. No weird off flavors, just straightforward malt and conservative hoppiness. It’s slightly sweet, but not too bad. Finish is crisp. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It’s not too shabby at all. I might even prefer this over Yeungling as far as mass produced lagers go.
2.5This is better than your typical American lager. Not a huge a fan of this though. I would drink this before any other American lager.
2.6Old rating. Came in a mix pack. Light, crisp boring pale lager. Utterly forgettable, but easy to drink.
2.8Solid premium lager. Aroma of toasted malt and yeast. Flavor was similar with a (for this style) complex malt, hint of bread crust and yeast followed by a touch of hops. The finish I wasn’t excited about. Poured a straw color with a short lasting head.
4.2Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Nice blend of barley, wheat and some malt. It’s Shiner so I bet there is some corn tossed in also. nice aroma
Appearance- Pours a straw color very reminiscent of BMC brands. Has a nice thick white head that shrinks quickly.
Taste- A simple barley and malt flavor, this is by no means a complaint. The flavor is solid.
Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a creamy texture and with a nice dry finish.
Overall- A well done American Pale Lager, in fact one of the best in the style.
5.0This small brewery is growing by leaps and bounds, it has been around many many years and has been discovered over the last 20 years and has taken off This is their flagship beer and is a great lager, I recommend it for the traditionalist
2.2It pours a clear pale yellow with a quickly dissipating fizzy white head. The aroma is very, very light with a hint of grain malts and a touch of an adjunct. This brew has such a super light taste that it is almost non-existent. There is however a light graininess and a very mild bitterness at the end. I really can’t see drinking more of this, might as well drink water...

3.1Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass.
Appearance: pours a 2" sudsy white head that drops moderately with no lacing. Color is clear pale straw with mild streaming carbonation.
Aroma: lightly toasted barley, a bit of yeasty bread dough.
Mouthfeel: light and thin, slightly slick, with a somewhat dry finish.
Flavor: cracker and biscuit, some barley malt sweetness, a very mild hop presence.
Overall: light and easy drinking. Pleasant and should pair well with many foods.
2.4Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into a snifter. {from June 2012 notes}
A: crystal clear yellow-golden; Small and short-lived, sudsy white head. Looks suspiciously like a light beer.
Aroma: light malt and grassy hops ... maybe just plain grassy ... with a slight earthiness. Smells suspiciously like a light beer.
T: balanced, but barely present hops and light malt. Tastes suspiciously like a light beer, although the subdued flavor does linger a good while.
M: light and watery body; carbonation is medium (very good) with some crispness; slightly dry.
Overall: comes across as a Amer. light beer. Nothing like a Belgian blonde. It is hard to believe there is a light version of this beer. Suitable as a dining beverage or thirst quencher.
