1.6 Pours clear Golden with a thin white head. Sweet malt aroma. Taste is malty and has a slight wheat taste. Palate is nonexistent.
2.3 Had as Light Blonde. Pours pale yellow with a thick though not long-lasting porcelain head. Aroma features fresh malt, and that's it. Flavor presents fresh malt and some sweet apple. Texture has watery body and wimpy fizz. Well, had to try it.
2.9 Pours a light yellow - of course - with a white head that laces and remains. Nose is light grain. Body is - well, light. Taste is grain and surprisingly sweet with light bitterness. Better than the macro lights which is damning with faint praise 16 oz can By Again: No
1.9 Well I taste sweetness at the very end and that's about it. I think there is a corn type taste also... not much to go off of. Smells of very light hops and corn. That is about it for this.
3.5 A standard light beer. Easy, not bad but nothing that sticks out. Decent for the style.
2.2 Bottle. Pale gold in color. Just weak and watery in both taste and aroma. Not good.
2.5 Rice and hay nose. Clear yellow, medium head. Mild straw flavor, watery. Light body, easy carbonation. Clean.
4.1 B-. Pours a clear golden color with white head. A little light on flavor, but not bad
2.7 Clear, very pale yellow pour with a white head. It has a corn aroma with a light, crisp body. The taste is pretty neutral with fizzy carbonation.
1.9 Brooklyn Steel, Brooklyn tap: pours super pale gold with a white head. Aroma is super light lager. Taste is slightly more than water. That said not really all that bad. Nothing offensive.
2.6 Taste: crisp, super light, caramel malt, bit saline, thin airy mouth-feel. Slight sweet grain nose. Light gold, clear, small head with some lace. Light body. 9 IBUs
3.0 bottled - clear light golden color. Malty aroma. Clean, crisp, refreshing taste. Any easy-drinking light beer.
2.9 Bottle purchased from Lee's Liquor in Las Vegas on 13 October 2017. Labeled as "Shiner Light Blonde". I found this beer to be a pretty standard pale lager with a clean crisp mouthfeel and a pale straw colour.
2.7 Labeled as 'Light Blonde'. A really nice label on a twistoff longneck. Clear, very pale, bubbly, head doesn't stack. Cereal aroma with some huskiness/faint smoke, some mustardy notes. Corny (but probably barley) malt, low bittering, high carbonation. Kinda like a lite cream ale. Spritzy. Drink cold. Not vile, but not worth spending any extra money on over, say, Busch Light either. Publix, Village Square. Part of the Family Reunion mixpack for 2017.
1.7 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright yellow color with a large foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tangy, grainy and a bit dry with a hint of cooked rice. The flavor was tangy with a hint of grape and a dry, grain and rice presence. Medium length finish. Light body. Bland.
3.7 12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 6/5/2017. Pours crystal clear pale golden/yellow color with a 1 finger foamy and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance. Moderately increasing dryness from bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, crisp, fairly bready/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a nice light pale lager. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Surprisingly flavorful for the ABV and 99 calories. Clean pilsner malt flavor with nice balancing hop presence. A nicely enjoyable offering.
2.1 12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow. Small white head. Aroma is grassy and slight straw note. Toasted malty, slight cornish. Grainy. Flat malty finish.
1.7 12 ounce bottle. 12oz bottle. Pours extremely pale yellow, and very clear with a short lived head. Smell is like a thin pale lager, faint corn malt.
1.7 Shiner joins the ranks of the macro brewers with this light American lager. There’s some light hop grassiness and mellow malt backbone. Thin and crisp. Pours pure golden but lacks any head. Zippy carbonation will make you think you are drinking seltzer. Certainly better than most light beers out there. Still sucks.
3.1 An underrated Pale lager, this Shiner Light Blonde is very drinkable. Very weak on the aroma side however, and low ABV. Overall, I enjoyed it, but prefer San Miguel for this particular style.
1.9 12 oz bottle labeled "Light Blonde" pours a clear golden color with medium white head that doesn’t vanish immediately, and leaves a bit of lacing. That’s the good part. Aroma, for what’s there. is of cereal grains, cardboard, and perhaps sour apples. Taste is neutral, with a metallic finish. Body is watery thin with lively carbonation. Is this low-calorie beer supposed to appeal to women? If so, it reminds me of Gertrude Stein’s critique: "There is no there there"
2.9 Poured from bottle thanks AirforceHops light golden color with a fluffy white head. Aromas of honey pale malts and mild floral notes. Taste is light slightly watery cereal grains honey ok yeast.
2.5 12 oz. bottle, thanks to jcwattsrugger. perfect clarity in a golden color. Mild aroma of hints of pale malts and honey. No surprise that the flavor is extremely light. light pale maltiness, weak grain and mild cereal flakes. No bitterness and ends lightly sweet. Finish is clean. Body is very thin yet watery. Overall, I haven’t enjoyed this brewery’s yeast strain. This at least is not awful. I feel like overall this brewery has improved over the "Shiner Bock" I sampled years ago.
3.2 Now this is a light fucking beer! I kind of dig it. It seems every bit as carbonated as soda pop but not all syrupy. It has a touch of a breakfast cereal malt character and maybe even a hint of hops. It’s super clean so you can actually taste these things despite there being very little flavor overall. All that carbonation lends a satisfying bite to the finish as well. This is not going to fulfill the desires of most avid beer geeks but, let’s face it, most avid beer geeks are dipshits. I find it strangely compelling myself.
3.0 Bottle in the living room Pours a very pale straw color with a small white head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass. The aroma is mild and a little doughy with light herbal notes. The flavor is lightly sweet & has a crisp maltiness. The beer is pleasantly bitter in a very mild herbal way. Clean & crushable I suppose
2.9 Bottle labeled as light blonde. Twist off, refreshing light pale appearance. Light metallic aroma. Good bubbly cutting co2, nice. No heaviness in this brew, light as described, really goes down enjoyably. Could easily drink a few of these. Perhaps a mild hint of soap in the end. Good overall beer drinken experience. If it didn’t have metal in the aroma, I would have given it a 3.
2.1 12 oz. bottle. Labeled as Shiner Light Blonde. Pour was clear golden, minimal white head. Aroma of sweet grains, apple. Taste was sweet, grain, bread, minerals.
2.2 Pours a very pale, clear champagne colour with a white head. Very little aroma. The taste is watery and thin with a flavour of weak malts and corn, or possibly rice. Zero hop flavour. If you are a serious beer drinker don’t bother with this one.
3.4 12 oz bottle. Taste was pretty good and overall not too bad on the other elements. Give it a try and you may like it.
3.2 Bottle: Clear, light gold with a short white head. Lemon, grain, straw aroma. Taste and body have some decent substance..... Barley malt, grains, maybe a little rice-y creaming...(I don’t know if they used rice as an adjunct or not)...... Really a pretty darn good light pale lager.
