3.6 Pours clear copper with white head. Corn, fruity, nut, herb. Taste is wheat, light spice, herb, fruit. Balanced finish with midlight body.
3.1 Butelka 12 uncji przywieziona z USA, dzięki Marek. Kolor jasnosłomkowy, piana biała dośc trwała. Aromat zbożowo-drożdżowy ze wskazaniem na pszenicę. Smak pszeniczny, słodkie lekkie piwo.
3.5 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 1/10/2016. Pours lightly hazy deep golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and moderate fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good robustness and balance of bready malt, earthy hops, and moderate fruity yeast flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and a slight bitter astringency lingering after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly sticky/bready/chalky mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is a solid English pale wheat ale. All around good robustness and balance of pale male, earthy hops, and moderate yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A fairly enjoyable offering.
3.3 Draft at the reception area of the New River Bridge tour. Tasted mighty good after a few hours of being so high up.
3.5 Ok summer ale. Slightly dissatisfying aftertaste.
2.9 This poured a hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma was of orangey and wheat. Flavor similar, but dumb down. Bland, boring.
3.0 Pours a clear straw yellow gold color with white head. Wheat, cereal grains, and yeast on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with wheat and a little sweetness.
2.1 Pours a dark straw from a bottle, aroma of sweet caramel and corn or something like that. Flavor is rather dry, with some hop bitterness. Meh.
2.3 Smells Like a normal wheat ale, slightly sweet and malty, taste is the same with a little bit of pilsner taste in there.. especially on finish, malt goes away over time and beer seems more bitter
2.2 Golden yellow pour with pillowy white head. I hate to be overly critical of wheat ales, as its not a style I care for that much, but this one is worst than most. Cereal grains, wheat, lemon, lager like finish (sweet malts/corn). Find it neither refreshing or enjoyable. Just a weak beer with some off flavors.
2.7 Pours a clear, deep golden with a large, white head. Notes of banana, green grape, and seltzer. A much fuller mouthfeel than I anticipated. Toasted malt, banana, and green grape flavors. A touch eggy.
2.1 Blah - as plain & as boring as it gets! Light piss pour w/out much of a head or lacing. The aroma is pretty much nonexistent much like the flavor. Do not reccomend!
2.8 Weak aroma, weak taste, and weak palate. It has a crisp, bitter bite that disappears instantly. Really disappointed in Shipyard on this one.
2.8 Can from Foods Plus, Plaistow, NH. Aroma is minimal--slight malty breadiness/cereal? Appearance is clear golden with minimal sparkling and significant white frothy head (poured it kinda fast) with good lacing. Taste is mild but sweet over bitter. Palate is light to medium with creamy texture with soft carbonation and abrupt finish. Overall, a pretty attractive looking beer with decent mouthfeel but not much else going on. An inoffensive beer to have cold accompanying summer fare--hot dogs/burgers or lobster that goes along for the ride.f
3.4 12 oz bottle. Pours deep golden with tall, long-lasting, fluffy white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of floral and grassy hops, bready malt and some citrus. Body is medium and crisp. Floral hops, pale malt and citrus fruit fill the mouth. Finish is light. Good session brew
2.6 A wheat ale for people who would maybe rather be drinking something other than beer. Inoffensive.
2.8 Bottled, clear golden small foam, fruity nose wih slight sour fruity Flavors , plain paper finish
2.6 Bottle at home. Pours light Amber with fluffy white head. Aroma of hay, grass, faint citrus, grains. Taste is wheat, grains, faint grass. A bit metallic. Palate is nice and smooth, light body, medium carbonation. Average beer, definitely a summer beer.
2.8 Decent beer for an unexciting style. Faint grain aroma. Light golden color with a lot of bubbles. Watery and carbonated. Some hops bittetness up front followed by pale malt flavors. Easy to drink.
2.6 Cerveja com amargor moderado. Pouca formação de espuma. Aroma frutado com notas de chocolate, herbs, floral.
2.8 can to glass. rec’d in trade. nothing bad with this but pretty much your average lager... slight grain slight hops. avg...
2.5 Bottle at Steamers Landing in BPC in New York. Not sure if I had a bad bottle but this was pretty poor. The brewer is better than this.
2.9 A: golden straw/ pure white head/ no lacing S: fresh/ straw T: bread/ caramel/ slight hops/ herbal Body: slight mouth feel/ non-offensive/ clean
2.4 31st August 2014 Bright clear gold beer, tiny white head. Palate is light and semi dry. Fine carbonation. Light pale malts, a touch grainy. Very mild bubblegum ester. Apologetic citrus, barely there. Light semi dry finish. Dull.
2.8 Draft at Portland lobster company. Wheat and a touch of lemon. Pretty bland and plain but, fine with a bunch of seafood. Ok overall
2.5 Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, best before December 2014, poured into a weizen glass. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is nice malty grain, medium/light body, lighter carbonation, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is grain and some crisp hops. Sort of in between a kristalweizen and a pilsner, but just average.
3.1 Tried this while on vacation in Maine. Wanted to try something that I don’t get at home. I must admit that I was attracted to the label. It was a nice beer, not outstanding, but a good drink after a hard day of tourist type stuff.
2.6 Pours yellow with little to no head. Wheat beer with a hint of lemon but not much flavor overall.
3.0 12 oz. can. Lightly hazy orange-amber with a lasting film of cream on top. Nose is caramel with some orange, banana and resin. Taste has the fruity English Ale taste I get with every other Shipyard brew I’ve had - twangy, floral-spiced orange toffee and mildly tart apple. This one also has some toast, a wooden bitterness and maybe a touch of banana. Light-medium body has a pleasant, average level of carbonation and a good balance.
2.2 Tap at a bar in Portland. Yellow. A loght wheat ale. Some sugar and a little lemon. A light summer American style wheat.
