2.912 oz. bottle. Poured hazy yellow with a dissipating white head. Aroma was lemons and sweet lemonade. Taste was very sweet and tart lemonade. Couldn’t drink more than one or two of these in a night, just to sweet.
3.4Revisiting after buying one on trip in Alabama.
Pours a cloudy yellow color. Not much head. Okay head retention, okay lacing. Looks a lot like lemonade.
Aroma is not super lemony, in fact barely at all. I smell more wheat than lemon.
Fortunately, some lemon comes in on the taste. But it’s more like lemon zest. Taste is not tart, mostly sweet, and biscuity.
Mouthfeel is very light and supremely drinkable. It is very refreshing.
Overall, this is a decent shandy. It is perfect for its intended purpose, which is a light summertime hot day refreshment. More accurately would be a lemon wheat beer. I would certainly consider a sixer of this for an afternoon of yard work. I think I like Leinenkugels better. Usually, I find Shock Top products disappointing, but this is the best one I’ve had yet.
2.8For a summer shandy its just not right. Ive had a few others and this just did not go down right. Its still an ok beer, but i would label it a lemon wheat beer not a full in summer shandy.
1.3At home from the bottle. Tart, overly sweet fake lemon flavored beer. Citrus, yeast, lemon drop with a mild beer after taste. Came across as more of a yeasty wine cooler to me. If you like the flavor of lemon drops and sweet drinks then this may appeal to you. I am pouring the rest down the drain.
3.0Subtle & solid shandy! Hazy gold pour w/out much of a head or lacing. The aroma is fruity & sweet. The taste is sweet throughout but subtle enough where it’s not overbearing. Light & drinkable - makes for a decent summer brew!
3.107-26-2015 - Bought on holiday in the USA! Very refreshing on a hot Florida evening!
3.1Bottle from Smiths
Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head, some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and lemonade. Flavor of lemons, pears and lemonade
Decent
2.6Bottle pour. Cloudy yellow with a quickly fading white head. Aroma is lemon and citrus. Light body. Initial sweet taste with no finish.
3.4EaSy drinking shandy. Nothing special.
2.3Scored one of these at very reasonable price. Pours hazed Orange yellow. Nose is lemon. Tastes of lemon soda, biscuits, light malt, wheat, and urine. Not too sweet. Fine soda.
1.1Bottle. Medium gold, white head. Lemon Pledge and corn. Booooooooooooooooooooooooo
2.5Draft. Poured a murky yellow with little to no head. Aroma of lemon, biscuit, and belgian yeast. Flavor followed the nose, but something was off there. Light body, slick texture, lively carbonation, smooth to finish. Refreshing and easy-drinking, but not that great. I much prefer the Leinenkeugels (my spelling is probably way off).
2.4Tastes like carbonated lemonade with a touch of drier biscuity malt replacing some lemonade sweetness. Aroma contains a bit of sour creamed corn in with the lemonade. I guess it’s fine if you want a lemon soda, but it’s hardly beer.
3.3Bottle 12 fl oz on July 2, 2015. Thanks to the Garcia Sisters and Miss Riddick!
Cloudy yellow color, white head. Sweet, malty, lemon scent. Lemon, fresh, lime taste. Lemon aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.
3.2poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. this beer has a very generic lemonade flavor with some beer tossed in. I found it refreshing but not memorable.
3.1Pours a a murky straw color with a small quickly disappearing head. Aroma of lemon. Flavor overwhelming lemon with a slight hops note. Large bubbles.
2.2Poured from bottle hazy glowing yellow with thin fizzy head. Aromas of sweet lemon and more lemon prevail. Taste is same as aroma. This is basically a lemon drop candy.
2.2Pours hazy solar yellow with a thick but effervescent eggshell head. Aroma has lemon and wheat notes, nothing else. Still, offers refreshment. Flavor is mostly lemon, with a wan wheat underpinning. Didn’t get any spices. Texture has average body and almost no fizz. Hell, at least it’s a new rating.
2.7Bottle from Smoker Friendly. Hazy golden straw in color. Spicy grains and a little bitter lemon in the nose. Sweet and wheaty up front. A touch of soapiness. Decent summer refresher.
2.6Not much aroma. Light lemon flavor. Some bread. Very mild. Fairly refreshing. On tap at Deckers in Joplin.
2.812 oz via bottle at The Pearl. Aroma of lemonade, lemon zest, wheat malts, and light spices. Similar flavor, with a light tart finish. Not too bad, kind of refreshing.
1.96 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into water glass. Hazy, straw colored, strong carbonation, fizzy head. A bit watery. Sweet nose. Sweet taste. Start and a bit of citrus. Lots of sugar.
2.8On tap.
Looks as expected, if with a rather weak head. Simple lemony flavor with only faint bready malts.
Light body with medium carbonation.
Adequately refreshing and good sweet/bitter balance but lacking in flavor beyond lemon juice.
1.3355ml twist off. Hazed light gold pour. Heavy artificial lemon scent and some wheat vagueness. Flavor is surprisingly not too sweet but has a chlorine like water character odd spiciness, and really not a pleasant lemon flavor.
2.4Light golden color with white head. Sweet lemon-aid aroma. Flavor is sweet bubbly lemon-aid. Really not bad for a hot summer day but I would rather make my on shandy/radler.
2.1Lemon citrus aroma. Hazy golden body. Head fizzles to nothing. Lemony but seems syrupy. Touch of tartness. Mildly refreshing.
3.0The aroma is kind of deceiving because the lemon taste isn’t as strong as the smell. Good beer for a citrus lover.
2.2This fruit beer poured a cloudy yellow colour with a bright white, foamy head. Scents include light corn, citrus and a little yeast. First swig was quite a shock to the palate. Flavours of lemon citrus and malt. Finish was lemony with a sweet finish. Like beer and lemonade mixed together.
2.7No aroma at all, golden, clear, frothy, light sweetness, tastes like slightly bubbly watered-down lemonade, light body, thin feel, average carbonation,
