Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing IPA

Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing IPA

As brewers, we get the privilege to sample our beers straight from the tanks in all their raw glory. Some beers need a little polishing to get ready to go out into the world, while others—the hop-heavy, rowdy, crowd-pleasers—should just be left alone. We wanted to share this brewery-only treat with you, so we present this Hazy Little Thing, our unfiltered, unprocessed IPA, straight from the tanks and into the can.

3.6 tap at brewery in Asheville NC. Solid NEIPA from Sierra Nevada - easy drinker
3.6 Hazy straw pour with thick white head. Aroma is grainy. Taste follows nose. Ok.
3.1 Can 35,5 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Fruity, orangey hop aroma. Sweet fruity body, somewhat oxidized. Some bittering hops in the finish. 190922
3.9 12 oz can rating. Hazy golden body with a 1 finger head. Citrus aroma, some onion but not as pronounced as many hazies. Quite drinkable. Pretty decent
3.7 On tap @ The Alameda County Fair. Pours a hazed golden-orange color with a white head. Has a pretty decent citrus character with orange, grapefruit, and lime notes. A light tropical quality of guava in there as well. Some of the usual pine and floral notes. Kind of a pithy, grassy, and piney bitterness. Sweet bready malt and marmalade in there as well. Not bad.
3.6 Can. Hazy orange/yellow sporting a decent white head. Aroma of passion fruits, mango and pineapple. Taste of the fruits mentioned above plus caramel, malts and citrus fruits. Slightly sweet with a very low bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. I’m really not that much into this juicy stuff but this is quite alright I guess.
3.2 Pours hazy gold with a large lasting head and some floaters. Nose shows caramel, mango, soft bready notes. Flavours include citrus and soft pine along with prominent caramel malt and a slight stale cardboard note.
3.6 Hazy dark amber golden colour with medium body and small head. Taste of hops, citrus, grass, pine, herbs. Dry bitter finish
3.8 Smooth more malty. The hops bitterness takes a back end taste but is not inferior. Grassy and herbal. It does not punch in the face with bitterness and that is not a negative. Great beer
3.2 A small can from 7-11 at Mamingtan, on the way to the pool. Aroma: a field of grapefruit. Appearance: opaque light amber; no head to speak of, some off-white lacing. Palate: medium-bodied and slick, average carbonation, astringent at the finish. Taste: heavily-bitter with sweet notes, quite well-balanced. Well-hopped, a hit of lemon zest, very flavoursome.
3.4 Can, 6.7%. Good fruity hop aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Big stable creamy chalk white head. The flavour is fruity and citric with a mild, herbal hop note in the finish. Low bitterness, clean. Grapefruit finish.
4.0 アメリカンエール系統。酸味とアルコール感も感じるが、苦味と甘味がほどよい。
4.5 Fruchtig
3.5 It pours hazy yellow with a white head. Head retention is very good. The aroma is sweet with some tropical elements pineapple and light pine. There is an orange note in the background with a bit of grain. The flavors feature citrus with some topical fruits. There are also some pine notes with grainy sweetness. It has a medium body with a slight sweet aftertaste. Overall, a highly easy going drinkable beer.
3.7 Aroma: sweet fruits and honey. Maybe some pine as well. Taste: balanced sweetness and bitterness, strong citrus flavor, hops is dominating, together with some honey. Mouthfeel :More than medium body and creamy feeling. Overall :very pleasant fruity and hoppy hazy, with balanced sweetness and bitterness, pretty good.
3.8 Reliable Quality. Not super hoppy, but a pretty solid amount. Not incredibly tangy but easy to sip on
3.3 Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.
3.6 355 ml can from a Føtex supermarket. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, tropical impressions and grasses. Taste is bitter. Medium bodied. Drying fruity finish. Ok. Fine.
3.5 The aroma is characteristic of a Sierra Nevada beer with lots of citrus and resin hops, the malts are biscuity and yeast is present. The appearance is hazy gold with a decent foamy head. The taste is sweet and bitter with notes of citrus and pine. The bitterness is elevated but not unpleasant. The palate is smooth. Overall it fits nicely into this brewers IPA lineup.
4.3 Looks gorgeous in the glass. (Okay, a plastic cup) and smells of citrus and tropical goodness. There is more tropical flavours on the sip - passion fruit maybe, with a tough of mango - with citrus and a tiny bit of malt bitternerness on the back end. A real nice hazy IPA

3.8 Can from Føtex. Cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma: Yellow fruit, pine and a touch of citrus pith. Taste. Moderately sweet and bitter. Medium mouthfeel
3.6 Cloudy pale with a moderate white head. Aroma: Hops: Passion fruit, citrus. Malt - hay, straw, wheat. Mouth: A pleasant blend of sweet but fresh fruitiness and a moderate bitterness. Light/medium body. A bit like a witbeer but with the hoppy bitterness added. Nice.
3.4 Aroma: Fruity citrus with light sugar notes. Flavour: Fruity bitter and sweet with citrus. Aftertaste is fruity bitter. Colour: Hazy amber with a white head. From: Can @ Bilka Tilst.
3.5 Draught at Churchill Arms. Hazy yellow towards orange, medium head. Peach and melon aroma. Fruity taste, mainly passion fruit. Medium bitterness ending.
3.9 33cl from Føtex. Pours hazy Golden with a White head. Sharp citrussy and piney with a dash of tropical hops and bready malts. Pleasant touch of yeast. Super crisp, bitter and rather elegant. BB 09/22.
3.8 Særdeles god og velsmagende IPA hazy. Tilpas bitterhed og fylde. God og indbydende aroma
3.6 Purchased at corner liquor store for $3 for a 19.2 oz can, enjoyed at home after Christmas while switching between reading and watching football. Pours moderately cloudy gold with rich white head, mostly hoppy nose, very light bitterness in back end with light orange peel notes. Decent for the price point!
3.5 12 oz can, date stamp looks like it was canned in May 2021. Pours a hazed yellow with a lot of medium and fine particles and a white head. Sweetish juicy citrus aroma hinting at caramel. Citrusy hop flavor, a bit grassy/herbal, again some caramel. It's fine, but probably better fresher.
