3.4 6/6/18 -Tallahassee, Fl - Publix - Centerville - 12 oz bomber. Hazy, Medium gold, frothy snow white head. Aroma has some honey sweetness, some buttery notes, Flavor is solid Kölsch with some nice honey sweetness, some buttery notes, some light allspice spicy notes. Decently thick mouthfeel.
3.8 12oz bottle from mixed party pack 12. Pours clear yellow gold with large head and fizzy bubbles. Really nice straightforward beer, crisp snappy body with soft rounded crackery malts and grain, balanced by just enough tangy piney hop notes and sublte floral aromatics. Finishes clean. More please!
3.2 From the 12 pack, label says it's 5 % ABV. Pours clear gold, but white head. Bright apple biscuit herb aroma. Similar taste, grassy, herbal hops, light malt, a cross between a light ale and a lager. Light mouthfeel. Not bad, better than the Sierravezza.
3.3 Bottle from a variety 12-pack. Poured Golden with a thin head that quickly dissipated. Clean, crisp, and hoppy for a kolsch, which is probably why I liked it much better than most kolsches.
3.5 Aroma: lemon and malt. Taste: malty flavour with mild citrus notes. Sour aftertaste. Good beer for summer barbecue
3.5 On tap at Capitol Hop Shop. Pours clear bright gold with a nice white head and a floral aroma. There is a light mixed malt flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish.
3.7 Bottle from the mixed twelve pack from Hannaford. Brilliantly clear dark yellow with a bubbly white head that persists. Bready crackery lightly toasted maltiness with a hint of fruitiness and earthy spicy floral hops to counter. Pretty nice Kolsch maybe a hint too heavy on the hops but it was my favorite of the mixed pack.
2.7 Pours clear gold with one finger of foam. Aroma is of biscuits and a hint of lemon zest. Taste is malty cereal with a slightly floral lemon influence. Finishes with a small amounts of hops, and lasting sweetness. Refreshing, but I expected a little more.
3.2 Keg. Pours a bright yellow colour with a fluffy white head, light hop aroma, the taste is medium bitterness and with a very dry bitter finish.
3.2 Squat 12oz bottle, mezzo-mezzo label. Part of the latest Sierra mixpack, Spring/Summer '18. Clear, bright gold with a medium white head. Spry, slightly tart, ambiguously citric aroma with some slightly off skunky tones under the carpet. Clean, lightly sweet, lightly lemony, not very bitter. Decent picnic fare for the hot weather. Publix, Village Square.
3.4 Pale gold pour with a one finger, soapy white head. Aroma is cereal, citrus and underripe berry fruit, light breadiness and some nice cereal notes. Flavor is doughy yeast and cereal up front, then some lemony citrus and a little berry fruitiness and mineral notes to the finish. Light body, crisp feel, moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff.
3.3 Bottle. In variety pack. Aroma of rice, grains, grass, light fruits. Light body. Light sweetness, light bitterness. Average carbonation. It’s ok.
3.8 From the 12 fl. oz. bottle packaged 03/21/2018. It looks like a Kolsch with its yellow, bubbly, and white heady pour. Clarity is good. There is a strong presence of sweet Euro-barley grain malts, biscuits, and maybe the slightest grassy and lemonzest character underneath. Light to medium, chewy body. Sweet and refreshing taste with an abundance of toasted barley grains and a mild to moderate dry finale. Very in touch with the style.
3.3 Light slightly lemony tart aroma with light biscuit. Pours a clear pale yellow with lasting white head Light crisp flavor or citrusy lemon, mineral water, light earthy spicy hop. Light bodied with medium high co2, lingering light bitter lemon peel finish Easy to drink and enjoyable summer beer.
3.6 12 oz bottle from the Party Pack. This bottle has an ABV of 5.0% and the label looks different. Not sure if they changed the recipe or not. Aroma is grainy, bready, kind of lemony. Pours nearly crystal clear pale golden with a thick white head that recedes into a skiff of foam after a minute. Taste is lightly bittersweet with grainy flavors. Not bad.
3.6 Very nice take on a Kolsch, grassy and mildly sweet with a grainy cracker malt backbone and a moderate floral hop bitterness on the back end. Slight lemon and apple notes ape lager esters, while the perky but gentle carbonation makes for quick drinking. Tasty pint.
3.1 clear gold color; light, earthy malt aroma; light, musty, earthy malt flavor with some bitter hops
3.1 Keg at Oakford Social Club in Reading. Light straw colour, fairly light hops, some biscuity malt, balanced and very drinkable although was hoping for something a little more exciting.
3.0 Keg at Oakford Social Club, Reading. Nil aroma Hazy pale gold. Thin white head. Light bitter. It's trying. Some.chracter to it.ight. Thin. Abrupt Finish. OK lager.
3.5 Draft at SN Mills River. Pours straw with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. A bit of straw and gravel on the nose and tongue. Creamy mouthfeel. Finished clean and dry. Quaffable.
3.2 At brewery. Good kolsch style. Light bodied. Bready. Crisp. Mild sipping beer.
3.4 Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma and taste of mild fruitiness from the yeast, bready malts, and a hint of floral hops. It is is unremarkable, but very drinkable.
3.3 355ml bottle into pony glass (140 ml). Sweet nose, a little grain. Very pale yellow beer with fluffy white head. High carbonation. Zingy and grainy, finish is more grain with a tiny hint of bitterness. Right on the money as far as the style is concerned. Super easy drinking.
3.2 Pours a golden yellow/amber. Aromas of lemon, grains, celery. Flavor is crisp, dry, sweet malt, and a mild hop.
2.6 Pours a golden body with a thin head. Faint aroma with a hint of hops. Flat but quite nice taste with a subtle bitterness and a rather nice balance. Better than expected and would do very nice on a summer day :)
3.0 Bottle. Clear golden yellow with a fading white bubbly head. Aroma of caramel, grassy, bread, brown sugar, pine. Taste is of caramel, pine, clove, metallic finish. Light watery mouthfeel with medium carbonation.
3.5 Bottle from Wine Emporium 111215. One of the better Kolschs I have had. Clean and crisp in the mouth with a smooth finish. A beer that is easy to drink especially on these warmer days.
3.6 12 ounce bottle from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Clear yellow gold with a one finger white head. A lightly lemony aroma and that is tasted, too. Fruity bitterness that is also dry and has some sulfur. The after taste brought some Cascade effects that included light melons, tropical, and citrus fruit. This was nice and I was sorry to see the glass empty.
3.7 Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Poured clear gold with a white head. Nose of grassy and citrus hops and light fruit. Medium body. Flavor is noble hops. Caramel malts. Crisp dry finish. Darn nice and really drinks easily.
3.9 Bottle. Floral lemon malt and straw aroma. Pale yellow with large white head. Sweet grapefruit/lemon malt and mildly bitter straw flavor. Nice body. Excellent.
