3.3 An interesting take on your typical pilsner. Aroma and taste are reminiscent of bread yet the pilsner taste is broken accented by a hoppy bitterness as a part of the aftertaste. Very unique beverage. Cheers to Sierra Nevada for this one.
3.3 355 ml bottle from Beervana Pours golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is malty and hoppy with bready, grainy malts giving some space to grassy and especially flowery hops. The floral scent is delightful, probably the highlight feature of the beer. Taste is mild but crisp, cereally and bready. Mellow bitterness to compliment the neutral flavors. A very nice Pils, a bit too expensive in Chile to drink regularly.
3.5 August 18, 2016 - at Bar Hop (BrewCo) - on draught. Clear solid gold pour with a pillowy off-white head. Aroma of heavy clover - a bit sweet. Taste follows, clean and sweet, emerging grassiness. Chewy, light body, solid carbonation, slight building bitterness in the finish - good (somewhat sweet and simple) patio beer if, like me, you were sitting on a nice rooftop patio.
3.4 On tap at Brewski. Pours clear golden with white head and malty aroma with a bit of citrus-floral & grassy hop. Creamy malt taste with a bit of citrus zest in the dry finish. Quite a nice Pils
3.2 April 2017. Can. Good clean brew this. Steady fizzing gold with a slim lacy head. Shrub, lemon and honey aroma. Biscuit backed and bread-like with smears of curd, shrub sap, crackers. Anticipating an off note that doesn't come. Clean cereal-accented lager with the merest sniff of citrus, and some bitterness to close, although probably half the IBUs of Perlenbacher. Decent
3.2 Pint at DH on December 2- served a transparent firm golden yellow, aroma of hard water and wheat. Hits the mouth with a light body, malt is restrained, Saaz hops come screaming in the middle, finish is crisp. Nice.
3.5 Draft at SN Mills River. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves a fair amount of lacing in the glass. Nice citrus and pine notes on the nose and tongue. Finished crisp and clean. Solid.
3.1 Can as gift. Golden colour with a white head grassy and floral aroma and taste. Medium body.
3.1 Bottle - pours gold with a white head. Aroma is straw and citrus. Taste is sweet malt up front with a drying finish.
3.3 Draught at a restaurant. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, hops, toast, grass and malts. Bitter finish with citrus, hops, toast, grass and malts. Good pilsener.
3.2 Canned, 355ml from Marks & Spencer's in Banbury, Oxon. Orange gold with white head. There is a light, crisp maltiness to this along with a gently lemon lime hopped hint. Through the beer though it never really develops from this so can be a bit of a trudge towards the end maybe. It's fine if a little unexciting.
3.7 the aroma: malty and rather spicy with shades of straw and some spicy herbs... the taste is malty and spicy with notes of grain and some grasses... bitter and dry aftertaste...
3.0 33cl can. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a short-lived fizzy white head. The aroma is light corn, cardboard malt, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a watery light, crisp, dry malt woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.
3.0 Shared 500 ml can at local tasting. Golden colour. Decent pilsener aroma and flavour.
3.5 Shared can at RB/HD at Gunnar´s 29.10.17. Clear pale golden. Diminishing white head. Crisp aroma and taste. Aroma and taste of fresh lemon and lime, American hops and lemon and lime marmalade. Crisp and dry mouthfeel.
3.2 Boks, delt på RBHD-samling hos Odd Gunnar, okt-17: klar lys gylden med ok skum. Citrus, malt, honning og urter i aroma og smak. Fin, tørr og samtidig fruktig bitterhet i avslutningen.
2.4 355 ml boks på RBHD-samling, Lura, okt.2017. Klar gyllen kropp med hvit film. Søtlig lett urtepreg i nesa. Smaken domineres av en noe besk bitterhet som varer lenge. Tørr tunge.
3.4 Shared can at local tasting. Pours hazy golden tiny head. Aroma of malts. Taste is dry herbal and grassy hops, not bad.
3.3 Zesty aroma brownish hue. Drinking straight from can at room temp. Taste as expected from craft pilnsers is a bit too ale like. Malty and less than expected hop presence despite high ibu for the style. Easy on the palate. Nice drink but not my idea of a pilsner. Too thick and wheaty. What on earth is wheat doing in a pils? Not as good as proper German and Czech pilsners despite the high rating from users. It simply isn't worthy of such a high global rating.
3.2 Notes of straw. Seems to have an off taste to me. I can't put my finger on it, metallic? Crisp, dry finish. It seems to mellow as it warms up. A good beer but not my favorite by a longshot. Second tasting. June 2017. Liked it. Easy drinking. Slightly bitter but just enough to make it refreshing. I've had several pilsners lately and other than The pilsners by Great Lakes and market progress this is one of the best
3.1 Schönes Gold, stabiler Schaum, Attraktive Dose. In der Nase hopfig, maischig, irgendwie seifig. Im Trunk malzig, dann süß, leichte Bitternoten, die hintenweg nochmal ansteigen. Ganz gutes Ding.
3.4 Taster at the Taphouse. Pale golden and clear, streaky lacing. Very grainy, bready. Hops kick in late, just right. At first seemed weak, but ends up tight where it needs to be.
3.5 12 oz bottle from Kroger, Columbia, SC. The Pilsner poured a clear gold color with a white foamy head and lacing. The pills has a nice floral hops aroma. The medium body pills has average carbonation. Well balanced pills with malts and hops creating a wonderful beer for any event especially tailgates. The crisp dry finish has you coming back for more.
3.2 (bottle) hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of pale malts and bran flakes, with a light touch of caramel, some floral hops and physalis. flavour is mostly canned peaches and honeymelon, with a light touch of pale malts, some tobacco and a light-bitter herbal-hoppy finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.
3.6 Tap at bar hop. Clean, crisp, refreshing is the name of the game for these types of beers. This hits all those. Its not a homerun but it does the trick. Nice, tasty cereals, grassy hops. Doesnt blow your mind but gets the job done, and its enjoyable in the process.
3.4 12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium well retained white head, over a light gold (SRM 4) effervescent body......nose is grainy with light cracker tones hints of sweetness, mild hop spice, no esters......taste is slightly malt sweet dominated by hop spice and bitterness, becoming dry with lingering hop bitterness on the finish, no esters.....mouth feel medium light, no alcohol, high carbonation. This is a clean, light, refreshing example of the style, and it easily meets the important style characteristics. BJCP 8/3/16/5/8
3.2 Keg at Rose & Thistle, Frimley. Sour lager aroma. Light gold. Thick bubbly white head. Light bitter, this then grows in strength through to the finish. A slight hint of sweetness. Light bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Perfectly adequate pilsner.
3.2 A 12 fl oz can, packaged on 20th February 2017. Poured into a stemless tulip glass. It was a clear golden colour with a one and a half finger soapy white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left only sparse spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet, grainy malt, grass, floral, honey with a hint of corn. Tastes of sweet and grainy malt with low bitterness, lemon, with hints of floral and herbal elements. Crisp, light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall a nice crisp Pilsner, perfect for a hot day.
3.3 Golden with a white head - Good malt aroma with hints of hops - Nice malt body with hop bitterness to balance - The malt and hops goes into the finish - This was nice and refreshing
