3.2 Tap at Kultainen Apina. Pours clear golden orange with thin white head. Flavor has pale malts, pine, some hops. Medium to light body, watery texture, average carbonation, fresh fruity finish.
3.7 12-06-20 // 355ml can. Simple Westcoast style. Yet very balanced and all around super enjoyable. Easy.
3.0 355 ml can, bb 17/12/2020 Dark amber, clear, light tan head. Nose - not much is going on here - weak malt, pine maybe. Taste - light bitter. Meh.
2.6 If you are going to enjoy a SNPA then get the real bottle conditioned unit. This draft one pales into insignificance (haha).
3.6 Can. As Pale Ale Draught-Style. Amber with a large white head. Soft aroma of caramelised bread crust, weeds, grapefruit, berries. Softer and sweeter taste than the normal version with the hops mainly belonging to the finish. They ooze through and grip in time. Interesting, highly drinkable.
3.5 Color dorado transparente con espuma media blanca de buena retención y residuo abundante. Aroma a melocotón, hierba y cereal blanco. Sabor a cereal blanco, melocotón, mango maduro y notas a caramelo y hierba. Dulzor y amargor ligeros con regusto herbal medio. Textura acuosa, cuerpo medio-ligero y carbonatación baja. Una Pale Ale de sabor relativamente intenso, amargor bajo y buen acabado.
3.5 Tap at Sancho's Broken Arrow. Clear, deep golden appearance with a solid white head. Aroma of zesty hops, floral notes, mild pine and light cereal/grains. Similar flavor, adding mild hop bitterness and balanced by a light malty sweetness. Light to medium body with ample carbonation and a crisp finish. Good.
4.2 Can't believe this is rated so much lower than the bottled/can offerings. Nothing better than a cheap pint at the bars in Chico. At 5% its a little easier to smash down, but still has all the hallmarks of its parent
3.6 On tap at Glenn Sportsbar andra lång, Göteborg. Clear golden with white head. Fruity, floral, piney hops with some biscuits and caramel. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.
3.5 Draft (at some radom place in vienna, didn't realize it is different tick at the time..). Pours hazy golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is fruity, hoppy, caramel. Flavor is sweet and bitter, floral, resinous, caramel. Finish sweet and bitter. Overall: good, but not really that different from the bottle version.
3.3 Draft. Pours copper color with off-white head and some lacing. Light bread malt with some pine and grapefruit notes. Bready Malt with some caramel and pine and grapefruit hop notes. Medium-light body.
3.0 Keg at All Bar One, Brum. Pours dark orange with a medium head. Aroma is caramel and orange squash. Taste has caramel, orange and toast.
3.6 On tap @ CraftbierKiosk Wuppertal. Nice floral round body. Pine and resin over a nice not too grainy bitter body. Crisp and clear in the aftertaste, lots of piney floral hops and a moderate grainy bitterness.
3.3 On tap @ Bayview pub, Sitka Alaska. Dorada ambar de escasa espuma. Aroma ligero, lupulado y frutal. Perfecta de gas, punzante. Lupulada, muy agradable. Amargor notable. Llena de sabor.
3.3 Tap @ Hugos w friends/CEO. Appearance: pours slightly hazy amber with ok off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: bread, light caramel, pine and grapefruit. palette: medium US hoppy aroma, medium carbonation, medium body, average sweetness, balanced by an average bitterness, average duration and an oily texture. Overall: Well balanced & refreshing APA, but quite mild
3.4 Draft at Misconduct. Clear copper pour with a solid white head. Good earthy citrus hops. Modest caramel malts. Mandarins. Tea. Wood. Well balanced.
3.4 Draft 16 ounce at Winking Lizard Copley Ohio. Aromas of citrus. White head film on glass. Not over hopped, really chilled pale ale. Little earthy. Smooth but carbonated. Very nice beer for style. Cheers!
3.7 Hit the spot, American style IPA. Crisp and refreshing, medium body, lasting bitterness
3.5 Schooner (keg) in a tall glass at Beer Deluxe in Sydney. Tasted for the first time on 20/Dec/17. Didn't know it was different to the bottled version. Appearance: Bronze body. White head which lasted ages. 4 Aroma: Toffee, fruit. Not very potent. 6 Taste: Pale malt, citrus, toffee. Moderate bitterness. 7 Palate: Moderate carbonation, fine bubble size, creamy, viscous. 4 Overall: Nice pale ale. Toffee gets stronger as it warms. Glad I have finally tried this classic; slightly different to modern American/Aussie pale ales. 14
4.6 Initially I get liquorice with some Xmas pudding, full bodied loveless just like Santa!
3.6 On tap at Cap Tap. Pours copper with a thick beige head and a sort of leather aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a slightly bitter finish.
3.7 On tap fresh at the brewery, gotta love those brewery fresh pales. Hops bounced. Tasted a lot like the bottle version just a bit crisper and maybe brighter with citrus.
3.1 Fra fat i Craft Beer Bar på Oktoberfest i Basingstoke 14 Okt 17. Mørk gylden. Lavt tett skum. Litt lacing. Aroma av malt. Smaken kjeks & litt frukt. Balansert. Lett tørr ettersmak.
3.1 Pours a dark Amber with white head. Great looking beer. Medium body. Light carbonation. Citrus, brown sugar, blackcurrent soothers, woody on the palate. Sweeter and maltier than expected. Pleasant but not overly special.
3.7 Draft many times at Flyers games or local dumpy bars that don’t stock smaller craft beers. Pours an orange color with tons of carbonation and a medium but receding head. Notes of bitter pine, wood, lemon, old grapefruit, and toasty malt. Not a bad old school pale when in a pinch.
3.8 On tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Just a great ale and very glad it was at the forefront of the beer revolution. Delicious.
3.2 Had it first in 1998 in the SF area and regularly after that, but not in the past 10 or so years. Now they had it In De Wildeman, so I thought I might try it again. Mostly clear amber color. Somewhat frothy almost white head. Aroma’s: rather faint, a bit fruity, faint hoppy, a bit malty sweet. Flavor is light bittersweet. Light bodied. Reasonably bitter finish. Probably lost a lot of its freshness on the way....Calls for a retry, fresh in the US.
4.1 Pint from tap at Fullers (Heathrow Terminal 2). This pale ale is always a safe choice. Neat, clean, slightly hoppy and consistent.
3.8 Lane. Jasny, słomkowo-żółty kolor, prawie klarowne. Biała, gęsta, prawie kremowa piana utrzymuje się półcentymetrową warstewką do samego końca. W aromacie wyraźny grejpfrut, trochę łąkowej trawy i żywicy.
