Silly Double Enghien Blonde

Silly Double Enghien Blonde

In harmony with its aroma, its taste is a bitter orchestra with a well controlled touch but without severity, offering fullness where necessary in the middle and at the back of the mouth. It is a harmonious recital of getting the most out of the quality of its hops and the purity of its malts.

3.7 1,5 l bottle - bbd = 13/12/1998 20 yr old bottle, incredibly good. Malty taste, with a liquorice, honey aroma and velvety mouthfeel. Would be very interested to find another bottle this old. Don’t think I’d love this beer fresh.
3.3 Van ’t vat. Donker blond bier met kleine witte schuimkraag. Geur: Wat moutzoetigheid, fruitig, wat alcoholisch, licht hoppig. Smaak: lichte bitterheid, licht zoet. Romig mondgevoel. Medium tot matige koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht bitter. Een ouderwetse Belg.
3.1 Nagy, tartós hab, borostyán szín. Illata enyhe, malátás, kissé élesztős. Íze intenzív malátás, édeskés, enyhe keserűvel és fűszerességgel. Kissé hasonlít a Tripel Karmeliet-re. Utóíze a korty folytatása. Testes sör.
2.9 F: not big, white, quick gone. C: golden, hazy. A: malt, hint of orange, coriander, yeasty, spicy, herbal. T: malt, strong coriander, orange peels, honey, candy sugar, bready, medium to full body, lower carbonation, gin alcohol, not very good balanced, 0,33l bottle from Prik&Tik /Quali-drinks/ in Brussels.
3.2 Blonde trouble.
2.9 Blonde doree, carbo tres faible collet fuyant. Bof
2.1 [Bottled] - Less carbonation - Sweet, alcoholic flavor Too strong alcohol smell, and sweet finish. Don’t like this. _________________________________
3.3 Bottled, 330ml aged 5.5yrs, from Burg Bieren, Ermelo, Netherlands. Hazy gold with white head and yeast floaters. There is a toffee, caramel note from the start of this along with a fruity, yeasty character. Some bubblegum and a dose of alcohol, it has the feel of being a little unbalanced. It’s okay.
3.3 (Bottle, Delirium Café, Brussels, 16 Oct 2015) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, tropical fruit, candy sugar and grass. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, peaches, candy sugar, marzipan and a gentle grassy bitterness. More than medium body, quite sweet. Tasty, but a touch too sweet (as usual with the Silly beers). Quite nice.
3.2 Bottle 75cl, a copper beer with good head. Nose is on orange, quince and sugar. Aroma is on on orange, old fruits, ripped orange, quince, sugar, esters, apricot, bit oily, sweet with old orange finish.
2.9 Bottle. Sweet, syrupy nose, honey, esters, peach and orange. Dark orange-golden, low head, hazy. Sweet and heavy, typical esters, spicy yest, steed fruits, but also with an unpleasant, astringent finish. Rather nasty.
2.7 Bottle at home. Pours a clear dark blonde and pan flat. No real aroma, maybe some yeast and a bit of spice. Taste is sweet with noy much balance. Some vanilla on the taste and a dusty back note. No carbonation to speak of and slightly sticky. Average.
3.3 Bottle 33cl. Clear medium amber, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing; aroma malty, fruity, caramel, vanilla, bread; taste is medium sweet and light bitter, malty, toffee, quite spicy; medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste is sweetbitter, caramellish, spicy notes bit of alcohol; not your regular blonde not to say a strange one, nevertheless a decent strong ale.
3.3 At horecabeurs 2015. Pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is weak, some malts. Taste is sweet, malts, bit bitter. A lot like a lager, actually. OK
2.2 When poured in the glass no foam at all. Tastes like a pilsner. Low carbonation and watery.
1.7 Strong typical blonde aroma with a sugary tail. Taste cam be quickly described as a strong Pils beer, with a load of alcohol. Not my type.
Ganz nett.
2.3 The beer has got a deep cloudy golden colour with a steady head and smooth body. Aroma of Belgian yeast, flowers and bread. Taste of Belgian yeast, hops, malt, caramel and flowers. Yeasty Belgian finish.
3.1 Delicate fruity aroma and persistent white foam. Coriander, little peach and ripe banana characterize taste. Very clean and malty mouth feeling that excites the oral cavity with a discreet bubbly carbonation. Thousands of small yeast residues floating around in the glass and contributes to a slightly fermented, but fresh flavor is added at the end. In conclusion, the fine hoppy and all in all an easy to drink, thirst-quenching and quite delicate ale.
3.1 04-06-2015 - I like blonde beers most, and I also liked this one. It has a nice colour, a nice taste
2.3 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light golden body with a medium bubbly white head. Nose is light candi sugar, butterscotch, straw and hints of pale malts. Taste is sweet grainy notes, light candi sugar, mild diacetyl and hints of straw and pale malts. Medium to full body, oily texture, medium to high carbonation. Highly forgettable Belgian blonde without much more characteristics than a bit of diacetyl.
