3.2On bottle from Vinmonopolet Norway, on order (BU) a while back. Deep golden color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; malt, honey, dried fruits and some light cardboard, Medium body & complexity. Some sweetness, ok balance. Enjoyable
3.0Butelka, warka do 2016/01/09 - czyli troche na polce postalo. Ciemno bursztynowe, lekko metne piwo z taka sobie piana. Aromaty...

3.3Amber coloured beer with off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt and Belgian yeast. Taste of caramel, sugar candy and a bit flat.
3.3Tap at Belgian Beer Weekend. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is Pils malt, honey notes, pear esters with light spicy hops. Flavor is sweet malt, pear esters, light spicy hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and medium carbonation.
2.8Durchaus trinkbar, mild und fluffig. Angenehm im kara, etwas hefig und prickelnd. Unspektakulär, jedoch befriedigend und vollmundig. Alles ok.
2.8The beer has got a deep brown colour with a steady head and smooth body. Aroma of Belgian yeast, bread and dark fruits. Taste of Belgian yeast, flowers, caramel, malt and sweet fruits. Hints of bread. Drinkable, yet nothing special.
2.8Pours a nice amber-light brown colour, which turns quite orange when you hold it against the light. Smells a bit funky (couldn’t identify it). Tastes pretty good. Not too sweet, bit hoppy and fresh.
3.2This dubbel has great renewable and creamy foam. Very delicate aroma of malt that let both slightly burned and fruity aromas. The flavor is sweet and malty and reveals only a little citrus towards the end. Light roasted malt tones blends beautifully with some late summer fruits (including plums) and in the end you will find a small pleasant hop bitterness that just stands out finally, but still maintains sweetness from the fruit in long time. It is far from being as aggressive as other begian Dubbels, yet the 8% alcohol, which can not sense. Yes, this dubbel is certainly a little gem among many.
3.8Kolor ciemnobursztynowy, lekko opalizujace. Piana bardzo obfita, bardzo mocno koronkuje. W aromacie sporo ciemnych owocow, niestety takze lekka siarka. W odczuciu gladkie, srednio wysycone. W smaku bardzo duzo nut syropu kandyzowanego i orzechow wloskich, bardzo smaczne polaczenie. Goryczka niska, przyprawowa, ziolowa, lodygowa, lekko palona, bardzo przyjemna.
3.3Medium white head, chestnut brown colour, caramel sweet some nutts fruity smell, medium carbonation medium carbonation sweet malts caramell yeast yet some fresh taste
3.0The dark one in this small series taken over from Tennstedt-Decroes, with deep bronze colour and thin off-white head; caramelly main character, lots of fruity esters, some candi sweetness, spicy yeastiness, creamy mouthfeel with soft carbo and herbal finish with some warming alcohol and retronasal spiciness. Acceptable but I prefered the blond version.
3.6Aroma: Medium banana bread. Medium toasty, banana, syrup, melanoidin. Light alcohol, peppery.
Appearance: Clear copper body. Thin, light-brown head. Low retention. Lacing.
Flavour: Rich melanoidin. Light alcohol, peppery. Light buttery, bready. Light fruity. Medium sweetness, Light saltiness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-high body. Medium carbonation. Light warming.
Overall: Good beer. Can do with more carbonation and more head..
330 ml bottle, poured.
18E. Belgian Dark Strong Ale
2.9Helder licht roodbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht zoetzuur en licht bitter met sporen van caramel, fruit en citrus, echter nogal waterig met weinig "body" Goed maar niet bijzonder.
3.5330 mml bottle tasted on 22/08/2014. Hazy amber/copper colour with a medium white head. Aroma of hops, malts and a bit of caramel. Taste is medium bitter with hints of caramel, fruits and hops. Medium body and bitter aftertaste. Next one please!
3.4Bottled, 33 cl.
Opal copper colour, broad pored tan head, which diminishes with time completely.
Nose of in alcohol dipped fruits.
Rather sweet aroma ruled by molasses, alcohol and dried fruits underpainted by nuts, mouthfeel is slick to oily.
Long sweetbitter, liquorique finish escorted by tart citrusses and nuts.
Overall good.
3.1Een donker biertje waar al wat meer smaak aan zit dan aan het blonde broertje gelukkig. Een goed bier, niet meer, niet minder
4.0clear amber colour, some minimal off-white head; aroma of dried fruits (figs, raisin), floral hops, hints of honey, toffee and spicy alcohol; taste of roasted sugar, toffee, honey, fruity notes, some hoppy bitterness and hints of alcohol; really good Belgian strong ale
3.6Amberkleur, mooi helder, dikke laag schuim, heel veel koolzuurgas. Aroma van banaan, zoetig. Smaak idem, banaan en zoet. Prima bier.
3.3Bottle 0,33: Hazy amber coloured brew with an sweet bitter taste and a lots of caramel hints. Label says Enghien Brune but the beer is amber.
2.1Amber colour, medium carbonation. Aroma of caramel and toast. Sweet sugary taste. Unbalanced beer.
2.4Bottle. Pours sligtly hazy amber - not brown - with airy off-white head. Clear, weird aroma of vegetables, malt, and fart. Sweet flavour of malt, caramel, and fruit, with notes of hops. Lively carbonation. Veggie finish. Rather unbalanced. Nothing special for the style.
3.133cl bottle. Nice hazy brown-cooper with a huge mostly lasting head. Aroma is heavy sweet, caramel and burned sugar. Flavor is also sweet, with just a hint of bitterness, sticky.
3.675cl bottle. Strong chocolate and cherry aroma, which is also apparent in the taste, along with brown sugar and some oiliness. I’m surprised how pale it is, was expecting much darker for a brune, but still another good beer from Silly.
3.1Bottle at Delirium, Brussels. Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. Nose is all simple, toasty caramel and sugar. Flavor is massively sweet with caramel malts, sugar, alcohol - not much else. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Faintly warming in the finish, sugary sweet with more toasty sugar, more caramel, some light honey notes. It’s very one-dimensional. Some fruit, perhaps. Yeah, just super basic.
2.8Bottle @ home.... It pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head....The aroma is caramel, malt, yeast and dark fruits...... The flavor is toasted malt, caramel, dark fruits and spices......... sweet caramel finish... alcohol is well hidden...
3.7Bottle Hazy brown look with a medium off white head. Sweet toffee malty aroma, overripe fruity, caramel and figs. Complex sweet chocolate toffee sweetness, nice interated alchohol, soft carbonation and delicious dersert finish.
3.2bottled. Pours clear amberwith a mediun sized off- white head. nose of caramel and grain. sweet flavor with brown sugar, caramel and bread along with notes of daek fruit. Medium bodied, creamy to watery texture and average carbonation. End up more dry and with a tiny bitterness.
