Amateurs de bières de Noël, passez votre chemin! Cette Enghien, brassée spécialement pour les fêtes vous décevra fortement, tant au niveau des arômes, de la complexité et de l’équilibre. Il ne lui reste donc pas grand chose à lui mettre à son crédit. Peut être son étiquette, que je trouve de circonstance et son blond doré pourvu d’une belle mousse blanche liée à une très forte effervescence. Je suis d’accord, ce n’est pas là le plus essentiel, mais on réconforte comme on peut après avoir bu une piètre bière. Je prenais tout de même des risques avec une blonde de Noël, mais les 9 % Abv étaient plutôt fait pour me rassurer. Le nez est également plutôt agréable et très suave sur le miel, les céréales et la coriandre. La dégustation me fit déchanter. L’attaque est très peu marquée mais souple sur le miel et la coriandre à l’instar du nez. En deuxième bouche apparaît l’amertume, épicée et instable. L’arrière bouche sur le miel et le moût de raisin ne s’intègre quant à elle pas convenablement avec des arômes ne se complétant pas. La troisième bouche ne présente aucune évolution, et nous laisse porter nos espoirs sur le final qui une fois de plus décevra, avec une amertume déclinant trop rapidement et un alcool qui ne soutient pas assez l’ensemble. Entre manque de complexité, corpulence moyenne, homogénéité perfectible et final quelconque....on frise le père fouettard!

330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet City Nord, Bodø in March this year. Pours a pearl white head leaving spotty lacing down the glass. Next to clear golden coloured body. Honeyed fruity nose. Mid-sweet taste of honey and yeasty fruitiness supported by warmth from the strong alcohol content. Sweet fruity ending. Soft in the mouth. Quite alright, just a tad to sweet and slightly unvaried (Shared at a rating session in Tromsø with Finn and djoeye 10.12.2016).
Robe blonde, mousse abondante et persistante. Nez puissant et typé sur des notes de fruits mûrs, de céréales, pointe de houblon et de malt. Bouche à l’attaque fraîche, mais qui manque d’ampleur pour une triple, milieu de bouche assez creux et finale acidulée sans complexité. Une bière qui déçoit par rapport à ce que le nez laissait espérer.

0.33l bottle. Hazy golden body, white head. Aroma of bread, grains, sulfur, pears and earthy hops. Taste of sugary bread, honey and pears with earthy and floral hops. If I hadn’t read the label, I would think it’s a strong pilsner. Drinkable beer, but it’s not how I think about a tripel.
Bottle. Hazy deep golden color with a thin foamy off-white head. A bit artificial aroma of honey, glue and yeast. Sweet taste with some sourness. You can taste the alcohol too strongly here.

33cl-fles op de kerstbierentasting bij Mario. Merci! U: Helder goudblond met wite schuimkraag. G: Bleekmout, karamel, floraal, banaan en kruiden. S: Zoet met licht bittere toets. Honing, kruiden, fruitig en zeer alcoholisch. M: Niet volmondig met medium koolzuurprikkel.

Bottle from Kumiyama AEON Mall liquor shop. Nose of honey, grain, Belgian yeast, overripe fruit, bread, and candi sugar. Hazy medium straw color. Mild sweet fruitiness, apples, cake, with a light bitter finish. Medium-heavy body and foamy carbonation on the palate. A slight bit of gushing upon opening. Decent enough. A tough too sweet, lacking complexity, and not very Christmasy.
Draft pour at Brasserie Beck in Washington DC. Poured a hazy golden color with a white head atop it. Aroma was light Christmas spices, nice fruit notes come through on this one a lot - very refreshing. Flavor of something I can’t quite put my finger on though. Pretty good!
Bottle @ home. Giallo ambrato velato con schiuma bianca abbondante, abbastanza dine e di media persistenza. Aroma intenso, e abbastanza complesso. Esteri del lievito, fruttato candito (ananas, ed albicocca) zucchero candito, crosta di pane e leggera speziatura di coriandolo. Gusto dolce amabile, piacevole contrasto con il leggero amaro del finale. Poca acidità. Molto carbonata, forse sin troppo, non molto corposa, rotonda, calda, equilibrata ed armonica.
Thank you! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Clear golden, quickly fading small bubbles. Nose is industrial, fizzy, excessive esters. Taste is very fizzy, white sugar, industrial fizzy, peach. Body is empty, industrial & fizzy. Meh, far too industrial & fizzy tasting. You get almost nothing out of this, bland at best & overcarbonated.
Bue à la pression. Blonde foncée. Nez sur le grain. Palais alcool grain. Déséquilibrée. Arrière goût chimique bizarre.

33 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours clear golden with a huge white head. Aromas of fruits, bananas, alcohol and yeast. Taste is sweet. Good tripel. Merry Noël!
Bottle 33cl. Gusher. Cloudy medium golden, large frothy off-white head, diminishing slowly, good lacing; aroma is sweet, candied orange, apricot, peach, caramel, ginger; taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter, toffee, spicy notes; medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste is sweetbitter, malty and spicy, alcohol; peculiar brew, strong and not very subtle, but drinkable.
Bière de Noël blonde forte en alcool, peu maltée mais bien houblonnée. Son nez annonce tout d’une triple: fortes effluves alcooliques, du sucre caramélisé, de la levure et un houblon herbacé. En bouche, l’attaque est franche sur l’alcool le sucre avec une sensation sirupeuse en bouche sur des notes fruitées de raisin, de pomme, mais s’estompe assez vite pour laisser la place à des saveurs maltées moyennes paillées et légèrement biscuitées, cependant trop courtes pour bien en profiter. Je reste sur la fin avec une belle amertume sans être agressive quoi que franche à la sensation minérale légèrement acerbe voire rêche sur un longueur moyenne. Plutôt sympa.

Bottle from Sake no Taniguchi. 300 yen or so on sale. Enghien Noël 9% this belgian tripel was a slow gusher and pour a matte copper gold with a pillowy dense head of off-white foam. The aroma is rich bready fruits - candied oranges & peaches. A pretty typical belgian tripel. Light bodied, sharp carbonated and exceedingly dry. The taste is flatbread, fruits and white pepper with some heat. Nothing so special but I got my money’s worth.

En bouche attaque sur le malt et sur le pain blanc on ressent peu l’alcool mais assez sèche en bouche.
Golden amber with medium white head. Malty bit lambic style aroma. Medium bitter bit harsh taste with strong sweet rotten fruit notes.

Pours clear blonde, ok white head. Smell is honey, grain , sweet, yeqsty. Tastte is mildly bitter. Honey, malts , a certain herbam character. Ok mf , rather high carbo. In balance of sweet and bitter. Fair enough beer, but just a bit too sweet for me
Golden amber colour with off white / yellow creamy head, which immidiately dissapeared. Aroma of fruits, especially plums, grape and presence of coriander. Taste is very sweet, fruity, with prevailling grape notes. Finish is slightly bitter and dry.
Bottle, 33cL. Home. An orange opaque beer with brown hues ; huge creamy white head ; great retention. Aroma of biscuit, light caramel, fruit (citrus), herbs. Medium "roundy" sweet, dry medium bitter : warming but still refreshing thanks to a small breeze. Medium body, silky texture, good carbonation, sweet finish, herbal note. Overall, I liked very much this christmas beer : good balance !

Gusher! Pours a golden coloured beer, with a good sized head and with good density too, despite its gushing.Minimal lacing on the glass.
Aroma of nuts, grains, yeast, alcohol.
Taste is also nutty, malts, lots of sugar, alcohol, light grapes and wine notes.
Medium thin body with high carbonation, sticky on the palate.
Okay, nothing special.
