3.8 Flaske 330ml fra House of Trembling Madness, York. Delt med Rune på Nerstranda 10 Des. 14. Gyldenbrun. Uklar. Høyt tett skum med litt lacing. Veldig god ferskenaroma. Smaken avrundet & sammensatt. Plommer & ananas. Godt håndverk!
3.6 Thanks to Finn for sharing a 330ml bottle. Apricot coloured body containing a cloud lag. Chalk white head with satisfying duration. Sappy, mid-sweet oranges on the nose. Fruity taste of peach and apricot laced with honey sweetness. Fruit bitterness to the finish. Soft on the swallow. Flavoursome and well made (session at Finns place in Tromsø, 10.12.2014).
3.6 Bottle from mikkeller and friends, copenhagen. Little hazy deep golden color, white head. Aroma is nice fresh hoppy and malty sweetness. Taste is hoppy, light malty body, sweet notes. Alcohol nicely hidden.
3.7 Looks fantastic, smells fresh and crisp. A strong IPA taste and a definite winner in my book.
4.0 33cl bottle. Pours hazy orange amber, thick bubbly slightly off white head. Aroma is sweet malts, citrus, some tropical fruits, grassy resinous hops. Taste also starts sweet with fruity and citrusy notes, honey aftertaste leading too an excellent long lasting bitter hoppy finish. Medium to full body, medium carbonation.
3.3 Tap @ Cock Tavern:Clear and golden with a small white head; moderate herbal-grapefruity nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour; dry lemony-bitter finish. Good, but I still expected more...
3.9 Botella de 33 cl, adquirida en La Birra. Color dorado palido. Sabor a lupulo, resinoso, ligeramente afrutado.
3.8 Bottle from Beermerchants. Pours cloudy dark golden with a big frothy white head. Aroma is distinct fruity, peach and apricot. Taste is light sweet malty, bread and toffee, distinct dry middle and finish, resiny and fruity hops, high carbonated, soft and smooth mouthfeel, creamy, lingering fruity bitterness, very good !
3.7 On tap @ Haket Pub. hazy golden with a medium white head. Fruit, malt caramel and hops. Medium to full body with a nice bitter sweet finish.
3.9 Bottle from Mogwai Bar & Mat. Smell of hops, citrus and some grass. Pours golden with a rich white head. Taste has some hops, citrus and grass and is very tasteful. Palate is stray and sticky. Overall a really good hoppy DIPA.
3.2 Fin dipa lite full nu bara tjallalallaajskskskls HAHAHHAA siren rocks hahahfkkjj
3.3 Bottle from Bottledog in London. Very hazy dark orange-amber pour, a bit grey. Aroma is big juicy hops - pineapple and mango. Taste is less hoppy, but some fruity bitterness. More clear/clean tasting than expected for DIPA - palate not as rich either. Good but not great DIPA.
3.6 From keg at the Euston Tap on 9 September 2014. Big ballsy double IPA with lashing of grapefruity hops throughout. Not at all sticky as DIPAs can sometimes be (for my palate anyway). Not too much honey in evidence, thankfully from my perspective. I have more extensive notes somewhere but that will have to do for now.
4.1 Imperial ipa che spacca letteralmente i culi: incredibilmente luppolata ma morbida sul palato, accompagna con una cascata di note fruttate una base maltata e caramellata che si confonde come una nebbia dolce e persistente. Ottima!!!
3.9 On draught at The Earl of Essex. Hazy gold, average white frothy head. Aroma of alcohol, sweet malt, tropical fruit, pineapple - lovely. Taste follows, more attenuated than the aroma suggested - bitter, a bit boozy, floral/resiny - good stuff. Average body, astringent, medium-bitter finish, nice linger with dry acidity - terrific not over-the-top DIPA. Siren do good work.
3.5 Slightly murky amber colour with thin white head. Pink grapefruit, lemon and a bit of blue cheese in the nose. Bitter citrus and floral notes in the flavour with a rich palate. Overall quite smooth and tasty.
4.0 On tap in BeerCab. Color cloudy orange. Medium head. Herbal hops in aroma. High bitterness. Lemon but also honey, so ballanced. High body.
3.4 (keg) opalescent golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of earth, herbal hops and nettles, quite resinous, with a hint of treebark, some caramel and grape juice. flavour is more herbal hops and resin, with some more light caramel, apple juice, nettles and gooseberries. medium- to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.
3.8 Bottle. Cloudy orange body with a low, lasting white head. Aroma of pine, mango, grapefruit, lightly sweetened, taste is medium sweet, honey is noticable, with a clean hoppy taste of tropical juice, pretty good hidden alcohol, feels like a "single" IPA. Citrusy lasting finish. A well crafted DIPA.
2.8 I wasn’t impressed by this one as when I was drinking it all I could taste was the goats cheese that I had just eaten. For that taste to prevade for the entire bottle is rather strange. My husband liked it though. pale, some carbonation, lacing and head. Its very easy to drink but the flavour for me was rather disconcerting. bottle at bottle shop.
2.7 Keg at the Cock Tavern. Clear golden color, small white head. Don’t get a lot of aroma. Taste malts, hops, floral, sweet fruits, bitter. Firm carbonation, medium body. Hmm not really balanced imo.
3.4 On tap at the Cock Tavern, Hackney. Gold pour with a white head. Peach and pineapple aroma. Rich booze fuelled nose. Flavours of pineapple and mango. Long alcohol burn. Quite nice.
3.5 Color dorado limpio, espuma blanca. Aroma floral, herbal y ligero toque de miel. Cuerpo medio, inicio algo afrutado con final herbal, floral y ligeramente alcohólico. Bien
4.0 Keg at Euston Tap. Wow. Crazy, dirty cat pee hoppiness, very bitter then twists round to sweetness at the end. Lemon, honey at the finish. No hint of the strength. Bit of lime or something tropical in there. Bit like one of those honey and eucalyptus tunes, but with a citrus bite.
3.3 On tap at Cock Tavern RBESG14. Hazy gold lasting white head. Very hoppy almost cheesy hop flavour. Pretty bitter on the finish. Just a bit too full on for my delicate palate. Some heat on the finish. Hops have a subtle cheese flavour.
3.4 Draft - Grapefruit and sweet tropical fruit. Hazy gold with a white head. Grapefruit and some fruit, with a hoppy dry finis. Not bad.
3.5 2014-07-04. Hazy dark orange body nice off white head. Aroma is quite green and earthy, musky green hops. Flavour is moderately bitter throughout, green leafy hops, mild malt below. Warming alcohol in the finish grows as you go. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. Okay but lacks the hop punch I had hoped for. The hop character feels a touch old but it is well before the BB date on the bottle. Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat, Glasgow.
3.5 Bottle. Light hazy orange with a large frothy head. Lots of flowers, honey, light hay, grain. light sugar, alcohol heat, tropical fruit mix, soap. Feels quite light bodied, oily texture, medium carbonation, medium sweet and bitter. Long warming finish with tropical fruits. A bit too much alcohol for my taste.
2.8 Hazy amber with clear, persistent white head. Aromas of alcohol, hops and citrus. Taste is overpoweringly bitter. Medium body. Astringent finish. Softens a bit later but no real subtlety from a normally excellent brewery.
3.5 Draft at black back with Keith and Vinny. Pours a clear amber golden body with thick white lacing. Aroma is light sweaty flavor and fruity hop. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of fruity hop juice. A bit too sweaty, some corn and malt.
