Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans... and put them in one vessel. The beans of bygone brewers, united with cacao and coffee, to create a trinity of roasted, rich, and savory flavors.

3.7Pour out of can, thanks Scott! Dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of espresso, green coffee, chocolate notes into a bit of spice, slight earth with a touch of roasted malt. Taste was a mix of big coffee, espresso, hints of green coffee into some earth, some chocolate, touch of roast, finishing slightly roasted.
4.1Can.
Very dark brown, beige head.
Aroma: vanilla, chocolate, coffee, baileys, toffee.
Taste: fresh ground coffee and also chocolate coated coffee beans, licorice.
4.2Poured out of a can. Dark rich color with light foamy head. I don't taste the alcohol. Taste is a smooth, lingering coffee and vanilla. Nice light creamy lingering coffee, with a hint of vanilla. Hard to believe there's 300 calories in here, but it's worth it!
4.3THOUGHTS: Had one a couple weeks before I tried this one one and it seemed to improve in those few weeks of aging. Hid alcohol fairly well.
TECHNICAL: Drank 3/23/2013. Can. Poured a clear, dark brown that was nearly black in the glass with bright red highlights and an average, tan head that mostly diminished and left excellent lacing. The aroma was great but a little weak and contained heavy roasted malt, chocolate and coffee; moderate caramel; and slight fruit notes. The initial flavor was slightly sweet, lightly bitter and ever so slightly sour; while the finish was lightly sweet, and light to moderately bitter with a fairly long duration. There was coffee, dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, sweetened coffee, chocolate syrup, and hints of fruit; but coffee is the dominant flavors. The medium to full body was oily with fizzy carbonation and an ever so slightly metallic finish.
3.3This poured a darker milk chocolate color with a beige head. Aroma was of chocolate and coffee. Flavor similar, bit subdued, a bit ashy and watery too.
3.4[5602-20130722] 12floz can. Mild grainy wood coffee aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown red body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Woody burnt grains flavour. Medium-full body. Good. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4

Poured from can into a snifter glass
Appearance –Pours a deep-deep brown color with a small one finger tan colored head. When held up to the light hints of ruby red can be seen shinning through the brew. The head of the beer fades quite fast leaving a small film on the surface and only a very light level of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a roasted malt and coffee smell. Mixed with these smells are some lighter notes of a toffee sweetness as well as a bit of cocoa and an earthy hop.
Taste –The taste begins with strong roasted malt, cocoa and some coffee flavors. There is a light sweetness of a caramel and vanilla flavor in the beginning of the taste. The sweeter flavors begin to fade more as the taste advances however with some flavors of oak and some light nutty flavors taking their place. Toward the end, the coffee flavor intensifies and is joined by some hop flavors of an earthy variety as was detected in the nose. These flavors, with the lessening of the sweet, end up leaving a roasted and bitter flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – For a 10 % abv brew the body of the beer was rather thin in terms of its thickness and chewiness while the carbonation level was a tad on the higher side. Neither the thin body of the beer or the higher carbonation level suited the flavors or the style of the brew well.
Overall – Not likely one I would go too again. A little too bitter and astringent at the end with the taste and the feel a bit off for me. OK, but for the cost not really worth it.
3.8Can from my secret summer santa 2014. Pours very dark brown with a big creamy tanned head. Aroma of dark bitter chocolate, ripe fruits. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Taste is rich roasted, malts and coffee, with a pleasant sweet note as well from the chocolate, lingering bitter dark chocolate. Well hidden alcohol.
4.3Oregon brewfest. Smells strong... Tastes like raisins and chocolate. Finishes with a bite
3.5(Draught) Pours a dark brown (near black) body with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit, coffee, and caramel. Flavor of roasted malt, anise, figs, raisins,, grain, caramel, coffee, and cocoa with a dry, bitter finish.
3.9Skinny can to tulip. Dark brown pour with a fine beige head. Nose is roast, malt, coffee. Flavor is coffee, malt, slight bitterness, chocolate, sweet finish. Smooth mouthfeel. Surprisinigly good.
3.7Rated on 5-03-2014 (Can) This beer has a very small tan head that mostly diminishes, transparent reddish brown body, no visible carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter, roasted malt, burnt, chocolate, coffee, and boozy. The mouthfeel is boozy and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is very good tasting and a sipping beer. The various flavors come together nicely and the 10%ABV is very drinkable. This beer is very worth trying and a beer I would drink again.
4.0This canned brew from a restaurant poured a medium sized head of foamy dark brown colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was malty and brown malt. The mildly vinous crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish with a lingering dark malt aftertaste. The creamy flavor contained notes of coffee, roasted malt, mildly vinous ,mild hops, brown malt and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.
4.0Pours black like oil, same viscosity too, nice foamy brown head. Coffee, cocoa, and roasted malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied. Finishes with chocolatey espresso flavor.
3.6One of the base beers in my recent trade with madnismo, shared one of these tonight with my Tuesday night friends.
2 finger tan head... pretty good retention and okay lacing atop a very dark brown beer that still shows nice ruby highlights at the stem.
Nose is an enticing mix of cocoa, coffee and hints of oaky vanilla.. dark caramel sugary essence helps carry and marry the aromas.
Bigger vanilla bloom on the palate that doesn’t show in the nose... plenty of cocoa, coffee is lesser than the nose... dark roasty malts also don’t show as much as expected... a sorta nutty malt moves in with the vanilla/caramel mash-up and produces an easy drinking brew.
Body is surprisingly light given the 10%... good carbonation, but still thick and coating... very drinkable... deceiving.
Thanks again Nathan for the great trade.
3.812oz can thanks to Toby. Pours out a dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose tons of coffee beans and roast malts. Taste is as the nose with a heavy coffee front a nice chocolate and a good roast on the end.
4.5On tap smooth Porter with chocolate and coffee.
3.9Rcvd in trade. Reviewed from notes.
The appearance has a dark brown/almost black body with a three finger white foamy head rises and falls leaving some speckled foamy spider web lacing and is fairly clingy.
The smell has some dark coffee up front with a slight chocolate in the background.
The taste is sweet and bitter at different times through the coffee and chocolate. Sticky bitter aftertaste and finishes slightly dry.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium, comes across fairly sessionable despite where the ABV is. Carbonation seems just right to me and for the style.
Overall, this is a pretty good Baltic Porter.
3.7Can from Five Points Bottle Shop (Atl Hwy). Dark chocolate and light sugary coffee nose. Dark translucent brown with a thick rocky head. Initial is all chocolate, rich and sweet / deep dark plums, bitter fruit rind, soy sauce, and considerable alc. warmth / sweet finish with some slightly stinging hoppiness. Medium body. Very good balance of coffee and chocolate. Alc. is way up there. Could be a satisfying breakfast drink for cold winter mornings.
3.3Skinny can from Harvest. Pours black, almost cola-like, into the pint glass, HUGE head that took awhile to dissipate before I could finish the pour, big sticky lacing on the glass. Aroma of burnt coffee beans, toffee, some vanilla, taste is ashy, burnt toast plus the coffee. Not the best I’ve had, seems like they were trying to do too much here. Unbalanced flavors that didn’t work well together.
4.1Tall, skinny, 12oz can. Pours very dark brown. Creamy foam, tan head. Aroma of cocoa bean, roasted malts, hints of cold coffee. Mostly mocha. Very strong. Flavors that pass through: coffee, roast, burnt chocolate, caramel finish. Smooth texture, heavy body. ABV well hidden. Earthy complexity. Hop bitterness has a bit of a pine straw character. (3993)
3.8Poured from a 12oz can I got in a trade, thanks Devin. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and light roast. Flavors are coffee, chocolate, caramel, and a nice roast. Very nice solid coffee beer, another great beer from sixpoint!
4.1Great beer and great video too, once again sixpoint doing very special things with their beers
3.312 oz. can shared by DrSilverworm- thanks again, Chris! Pours an opaque coffee brown with a huge, rocky, frothy beige head that leaves a ton of sticky lace in the glass. The aroma is too metallic, with coffee and cacao and dark chocolate, earth, dust, and booze. Flavor of coffee, cacao, copper, fudge, leaves, earth, burnt toast, brownie, a little spice, and booze. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a boozy, roasty, burnt mouthfeel. A little disappointing.
3.9Pours nearly black with a pilowy tan head; dissipates to a thin cap leaving plenty of lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, dark ripe fruit, cocao, licorice and vanilla extract. Taste is heavily sweet giving way to a slightly bitter finish. Body medium to full with some brisk carbonation. Enjoyable brew.
4.3Dark brown pour with a creamy two finger beige head with great retention and crazy lacing. This nose is very malt forward with lots of sweet roasty coffee notes along with hints of vanilla, mocha, caramel, brown sugar, and some subtle hazelnut. The taste follows suit with lots of fresh roasty coffee up front along with hints of hazelnut, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, cocoa, and brown bread. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy with above average carbonation and a bittersweet, slightly dry finish. The ABV is very well hidden. Overall, a very flavorful and easy drinking interpretation
3.7(Backlog) Can. The look is dark, brown to black in color, foamy head dissipates quickly. The smell is coffee, roast, malt, burnt, ash, and black licorice. The taste is sweet, coffee, roast, burnt, acrid, and ok
4.0Can. Black, oily pour with brown head. Intense espresso aroma. Big chewy body with an exceptionally smooth body. Nice flavors of coffee and cocao, with a smooth finish.
3.8Dark brown pour, light brown head. Coffee baby. Nice black coffee integrated with a roasty/chocolatey porter. Good beer every time!
3.6Another beer had on camping trip with the fellas. Stream temp into a camp mug. Points to nose: big coffee, chocolate, dark roasted malts, noticeable sweeness. Tasty coffee/chocolate combo, thick molasses. Tasty.
