The unmistakable flavor of a Bavarian Wheat, but with a clear golden brilliance and a Sixpoint twist. An entirely unique canned offering for the sun-worshipping ale lovers.

4.0on draught at darien social. Pours light hazy golden with foamy white head. Unique full fruit flower aroma. Refreshing bright light citrus flavor, medium light body. Really nice brew for summer.
3.0Pours a nice bright clear yellow with white head. Floral and sweet notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light in body. Finishes sweet.
3.3Aroma - there is a wheat aroma and some yeasty tang.
Appearance - caramel colored amber body; liquid is clean and clear; the head is white and sets up about 2" settles into a layer of film.
Taste - is very tangy with wheat and some tart yeast. There is a fruit ester quality about it as well.
Palate - body is medium; texture is somewhat layered; carbonation is lively; the finish has a puckering sort of factor, one is inclined to call it sour, but it’s more tangy, but not exactly tart.
2.9Can to glass. Not a good style for me, so take that into consideration. A golden color. A sweet, deep in the nose fragrance. Medium carbonation, with a resonating sweetness.
2.7Reviewed from notes. Received as a going away present when I left the East Coast to where I am now.
The appearance has a somewhat hazy yet clear yellow/orange body, one finger white foamy head that rapidly dies, some carbonation is seen rising.
The smell has bubblegum up front, some light malts coming through very sweet, slight banana/yeasty aroma trying to come through, some light cloves are there too.
The taste is very sweet (bubblegum) and malty, slight banana/yeasty and banana aftertaste, dry finish.
The palate is medium, semi-sessionable, adequate carbonation.
Overall, uh....this is just an ok kristallweizen, but was actually kinda disappointed in this and probably wouldn’t have it again.
4.316 oz can, white label. Deep haze, orange color. White foam. Distinct aroma of Bavarian wheat malt. Ugh, I miss Germany. Tastes of lemon zest, hearty wheat, loads of wheat malt, cereal, slight sweetness. Very well balanced. Like a hearty artisan bread. (3987)
4.0From notes, consumed on 5/19/13. Can poured into a tulip. Pours a straw/golden yellow with 2 fingers of off-white head. Hazy light lacing. Good carbonation flowing through the glass. Aromas of yeast, funk, wheat, light citrus, banana, bubble gum. Tasting notes of banana, wheat, bubble gum, subtle smoky/bacon flavor. Medium body with a semi-dry finish.
4.0Pours unclear, dark yellow amber. Medium to small fizzy white head, minimally lasting. Aroma is sweet. wheat. Banana. Yeast. ’Wheat and banana candy’. Flavor also finds plenty of wheat and banana but also a lot of citrus, lemon. Light and crisp. Super refreshing. A little tart/tang. A little acidic. I really enjoyed this. Brightened up another ’lovely’ WI winter week.
3.6Aroma is stinky wheat. Orange citrus, sweet, yeast, banana.
taste is very similar. Wheaty, yeast, citrus, sweet. Very refreshing and a little tart.
3.0Can, the aroma is crisp with a lot of clove and spice, taste is big clove and banana with a sour twang finish, maybe my can is old...
3.3Heavy on the banana notes, but also this weird sort of diaper quality that depresses my rating a lot. Kinda funky. I dunno.
5.0Taking an original yeast strain from Germany, this brewery makes one of the most delicious hefferveisen that I have tasted
3.0(Backlog) Can. The look is cloudy, orange amber in color, with a white head. The smell is lightly tart, funk, butter, ripe fruit, wheat, spice. The taste is more butter, tart, fruits, wheat, and interesting.
3.4lovely pale gold with white head. yeasty character with wheat malt, some orange and cinnamon. Taste is similar. some spicey belgian notes
3.112/20/13 can given to me from Jonas Nelson and John fisher. Nose was a watered down heff. Taste was slightly bitter. The can was 5 months past it's drink by date so...why did I rate this when the flavors we're probably off.
3.4Another style tick from the discount bin at Parker Pie, Glover, VT. Pours an almost clear golden with a thin white head that doesn’t revive too easily and don’t leave much lacing. Aroma is of bananas and spices along some light bready notes. Taste is of caramel and bananas but also a little tart. Body is light, mouthfeel a little thin. All in all it isn’t too bad! I’m not a big fan of german beers though so others might be able to judge more aptly.
2.7Can - not sparkly nor filtered. Butter flowery nose. Spritzy for sure and a little sour if not tart. Tiny banana presence. Watery. Not my style or a poor representation or both but definitely not revisiting this unless I want Hefe cut with Perrier.
3.25/8/2012. From can. Straw yellow with a white head. Malty aromas with yeast, banana, bread. Not my favorite style of beer though. Yeast and citrus flavors with grassy notes.
3.4Poured a golden yellow color with aromas of wheat, light yeast, a touch of banana, and some candi sugar. Flavors are the same, light banana yeast in aftertaste. Decent beer overall.
4.0A: Mildly Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Most Light, White Head Ring, Mild Lacing
S: Belgian Sugar, Banana, Mild Yeast
T: Belgian Sugar, Banana, Mild Yeast
M: Average Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Mildly Sweet, Mildly Yeasty
Overall, a nice easy drinking beer.
3.0(can) pale gold with white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat malt, some orange and spice. Taste is similar. More like a Belgian ale than a Bavarian heffeweisen
3.3Cloudy yellow orange color with foamy white head. Smells like coriander and bubble gum with some baking spice notes. The palate has a slight orange peel aspect along with other tendencies I look for in a hefewiezen. Finish is a little thin. A good beer for the hot weather.
3.9Aroma has that Belgian yeast we all love so much; a touch of funk. Just a tad horsey, some musty hay, but make no mistake, it’s intentional. Touch of lemon meringue.
Cloudy gold color. The head dissipates like a cracklin’ bowl of Rice Krispies. I don’t know if it’s the beer’s age, but the yeast descends like ribbons
The funk is palpable here; has a bite on the way down. It’s tart and sour, with a lemony citrus. It is a tad on the doughy side of the spectrum, although it does have a hint of bubblegum sweetness to balance it out. The funk (borderline cheese-like) is definitely there.
Feels slick and oily, very thick and creamy. Don’t hate, appreciate the CHALLENGE of this one. Sam Summer Ale it ain’t, babies.
3.5can. hazy gold under a fluffy, white head. banana and vanilla cake aroma. light, creamy and east to drink. flavors of vanilla cake, banana, nilla wafers. a cloudy kristallweizen, but who cares, it tastes good.
4.1Popped a can. Delicious, tart, full of weizen clove flavor. Very refreshing and tasty.
2.7Had in a can and on tap at Bearded Lady. Pours a cloudy orange color with very light carbonation. Aroma is funky, yeast, saison fruit and a bit of spice. Interesting aroma; wasn't what I expected. Flavor is tart, orange citrus, bready yeast and some tingly spice near the finish.
3.4Can (fatty tall boy?) from Cave's. Hazy light pour with a big white head. Aroma is sweet orange, wheat, and light tartness. Taste is heavy citrus, maybe caramel, and a good wheat cut in the finish.
3.6Can. Pours an opaque orange-amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is belgian yeast, wheat, citrus, banana, clove. Taste is heavier on the citrus-mainly lemon, ending with some banana and spice notes, a tad sour as well. Light-medium body, well carbonated. Interesting beer, sort of like a tripel/saison/berliner weisse blend.
3.2A flavorful Bavarian wheat beer that borders on a trippel. Extremely fruity tasting and smelling. Has a bitter finish.
3.2From notes: growler from GAT Beer, NE Philadelphia. Poured hazy orange-amber with a 2-finger white head. Aroma is a combination of citrus, grass and black pepper. Light body, a bit fizzy. Light lemony citrus flavor, with a peppery, grassy note.
