Sixpoint Jammer

Sixpoint Jammer

...the Mad Scientists kept tweakin’ that Jammer till it rocked so hard. Bygone brewers, repping the Sixpoint star, provided the concept and our friends at Jacobsen Salt hooked us up with the key ingredient. It’s salty, it’s sour, and it’s slammin’. It’s Mad Science.

2.3 Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a thicik white head with lacing. Nose is wheat with slight spice. Taste is wheat, spice little salt. Lingering slight sour after taste. The Longtrail Cranberry Gose is far more sour but seems to lack wheat. 12 oz can Canned 4/6/18.
3.1 가볍다 첫맛 약간 짭쪼름하고 뒤로 갈수록 맛이 짧게 끝남 sour한 느낌 약하다 맛의 특징이 약한 느낌
3.3 Aroma: coriander, salty, sour. Appearance: cloudy golden color and thin white head. Taste: salty sour, fruity, coriander, dry. Palate: low body and medium carbonation. Overall: decent gose.
2.7 Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head. The aroma was faintly sourish and yeasty. The flavor was dry, a bit sour, slightly astringent and had a bit of citrus and perfume. Medium length finish. Medium body.
3.0 Pours a pale yellow with a thin white ring.Very lightly sour and tart taste. Flavor is somewhat herbal and tastes like coriander. Not all that refreshing, crisp, nor enjoyable.
3.0 This beer is on tap at fuel and cuddle. It's a good beer, the style is just baseline. Not too salty or sweet, small head just a beer
2.8 Clear/hazy yellow with a small white head. Slight/medium aroma. Starts a little bit salty and ends a little bit dry. Taste of salt, little bit of citrus and coriander. All together a bit weak.
3.3 My first thought when opening this can of kold Schauer is it smelled like smelly feet. The color is good and the taste has a mild hoppy flavor. Looks and tastes like a combo between a wheat beer and a pale ale. Overall I never thought stinky feet beer could taste so good.
3.1 Can. Hazy amber with a rocky off-white head. Musty, briny, and fruity with a big dose of coriander. Tastes light with just a little salt, plenty of coriander, and a little tangy. Light bodied.
2.6 Can - Not really a tart flavor, some weird combination of it however. Very dry on the palate too. I think it’s how the beer interacts with my palate but I taste blackberry.
3.3 12 oz slim can from Hy Vee Wine & Spirits - Urbandale. Orange colored appearance with slight haze and a small white head. Aroma of toasted grain, fruit and light hops. Similar flavor, adding mild sweetness, light bitterness and a hint of sour acidity. Light body with ample carbonation and a slightly dry finish. Not bad overall.
3.4 Backlog entry. Good flavors, close to style, as expected without too many surprises.
1.4 12 oz can. Pours a hazy amber with light head. Aromas of apple pie, celery, and salt. Flavors of cold tinny and salty celery and chicken soup minus the fat. Sound good?
2.0 Skinny can. Nose sour and tangy with light fruit rind and tending tropical. Pour hazy deep golden with a bright white soapy head. Taste tart but not extreme or even really sour, very highly carbonated though and high in mineral character makes this taste a lot more like seltzer or club soda than beer. Palate cleansing and dry with a little herbal bitterness in the realm of quinine, aftertaste mildly harsh and reminds of baking soda (though the chemistry differs). Maybe if you add to it? Doesn't have the quench or Süffigkeit I want in a drink like this. [2017.09.23: 2.0]
3.1 Aromas of light funk and wheat, as well as lemon and faint orange. Taste is seltzer water, wheat, lemon and a touch of citrus, very little funk, and salt in the finish and after taste.
3.1 Canned. Small sample. The aroma has citrus. Clear, golden coloured beer with a thin, off-white head. The taste is little sourish, bit salty, has biscuit malt tones and citrus. Moderate refreshing.
3.7 Pours hazy gold. Smell is just metallic.... taste isn’t even salty or tart. Just mild, wheat, crisp, and actual coriander. Nice creamy body, lightly prickly carbonation. Tastes fine, easy to drink, but not even slightly sour or tart, salty or to style as expected.
0.9 Tastes like sunscreen. Not very good. It tastes like sunscreen that is on your face that is mixed with tears after slipping into your mouth.
3.0 Can. Pours a clear golden yellow beer with a thin and quickly disappearing white head on top. Aroma has notes of grains, lemon and not much else. Flavor defintely has some salty touches to it, light citrussy as well and very, very light. Low in carbonation, short in aftertaste. Not too interesting to be honest, but just decent.
2.9 lukter sitrus, honning. syrlig i smak. sure epler, gjær. Noe fuzzy. syrlig avslutning.
2.6 35,5cl Can @ Cervezalandia, Vall d’Uixo, Spain Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, citrus, tart. Taste is malt, citrus, spices, slightly salty and sour. Light body, soft carbonation. A bit watery.
1.9 Didn’t taste like a gose style really. There was no sourness at all. Even the salt is very light. If your looking for a light summer beer it’s good, but doesn’t really taste like a gose.
3.2 COD 5/12/17. Hazy golden pour that is effectively opaque. Outstanding head volume and lacing. Retention is very good. Very light nose that is good. Light salt is detected underneath and serves as the base along with light biscuit malt that hints at sweetness. A light airy lemon note floats above the base. No coriander was detected. Light body that is slightly smoother than water. Borderline outstanding carbonation / body balance that provides an effervescent middle and is rather prickly on the finish. The balance of the flavor profile is world class, nothing dominates. Unfortunately, nothing really pops resulting in a disappointing intensity level and a lack luster complexity. Lemon arrives first and is refreshingly tart. Lemon flows into the finish with very little impact from any other flavors. The middle is neither bitter or sweet - although you can get a bit of graininess if you look for it. Coriander was never detected - and I love coriander. Salt is delicately balanced and remains covered until the lingering finish when it lingers in the middle and back of the tongue. Overall, a solid unassuming gose that is highly quaffable but not quite up to a very good rating.
2.2 aromas were barely detectable. the taste was more salty than sour, which is a letdown for a gose style beer. would not recommend.
3.0 12 ounce can. Hazy medium gold color. Rocky white head. Nice lacing. Tart sour citrus malt nose. Salty and sour with citrusy notes. Lightly carbonated. Quite unique. In the words of Ronnie,"The Limo Driver" Mund, Woah, stop the clock.
3.0 Its got the salty but not really any of the sour. The flavor leans more towards a wheat ale or a mild saison than a gose.
3.1 Lys brun klar med lavt beige skum. Lukter honning, maltekstrakt og fudge. Søtlig fruktig, syrlig eple, syrlige bær og hvete. Middels lang.
2.4 This does not taste like a Gose. It’s like a salty pilsner. Not sour, not salty enough. Very disappointed
3.4 Good salty light beer. Slightly sour but not too much. Good summer drink. 👌👌👌👌👌
3.0 Can. Pours a rusty colored hazy pour with an ephemeral white head. Nose is salty with some citrus notes. Taste is salty, floral but not terribly sour at all . Finishes on the same salty tasting notes with a bit of tartness. Fair at best ! Quaff Score 6 / 10
