3.2Medium beige head. Opaque black body. Toffee and soy sauce aroma with raisiny chocolatey notes. Sweetish toffee and soy sauce taste with chocolatey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish alcoholic soy sauce aftertaste with chocolatey spicy notes. It’s OK, but disappointing. (065l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)
3.9Amarillo, Tx - Party Stop - Georgia St - 22 oz bomber. Pours an inky, pitch black, with a tight khaki colored head. Aroma has some creosote accents, hints of chocolate, a touch of Kahlua. Flavor is full bodied and bold. Pick up some bittersweet baker’s chocolate, some day old black coffee, some light cherry fruity sweetness. Mouthfeel has a pleasant slickness to it. Very enjoyable.
3.5Nefarious Ten Pin falls just short of the Big Lebowski in terms of its ability to make bowling temporarily cool. Aroma is roasty. Chocolate and subtle fruit flavors. Body seems a bit light for a beer of this type. Otherwise, a solid brew from SKA.
2.6Bottle/Fest.
A- Malty, bland.
A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head.
T- Malty, cocoa, boring.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish.
O- Lack much flavor or aroma. Really pretty boring and it’s my favorite style.
3.4Descrisption is right on - hints of coffee and cherry...also dark roasted malts and chocolate, a hint of lactic quality. Just too light to take seriously as an imperial porter, though. OK.
3.7Bomber from the brewery. Pours rich dark brown with a fizzy, bubbly beige head. Tastes like chocolate, creamy, roasted malt with light smoke, and some roasted coffee. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like dark chocolate, roasted malt with light smoke, and nutty roasted coffee.
3.8Bottle. Pours deep dark brown. Aroma is heavy milk chocolate, faint roast, some dark fruit and booze notes, and faint earthy hops. Flavor is slick and creamy with heavy chocolate notes, faint dark fruit sweetness, and a dry woody finish. Full body.
3.6Bottled. Sweet, lager-like nose, smooth, chocolate, berries. Easy drinking with lots of cocoa and some berries. Comes across like a Baltic Porter all the way.
3.7Dark brown, almost black, with a good bit of light beige head. Chocolatey aroma, also some nice roasted malts. Taste is also rich chocolate. Nice smooth feel and finish.
3.9Bomber. Rich chocolate aroma with roasted malt, coffee and some licorice notes. Pours black with a thin but retentive light brown head with excellent lacing. Starts with rich chocolate and licorice flavors with a good medium body and rich mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with excellent roasted malt flavor with a bit of coffee. Nice porter!
3.6Bottle from GBBF 2015 and drunk at home. Black beer with thick lasting tan head. Dark chocolate, some dark fruits. smoothish in the mouth, some tar, touch of liquorice. Finish has more of the same. It’s ok, but doesn’t completely wow me. Hides ABV well. Some warmth on the finish. Malty. Brown bread. Some dark cherry. It’s fine.
3.5Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Chocolate notes. Average heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. not so roasted.
4.222 oz bottle. Pours black with a decent one-finger tan head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma of alcohol, milk chocolate, molasses, and coffee with a decent bit of citrus hop coming through as well. Upon tasting, a big boozy alcohol hits initially followed by somewhat bitter milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, black licorice, dates, and citrus hops cutting through all that to make their presence known. Big lingering finish of milk chocolate, licorice and those hops. Full bodied, creamy texture, soft to average carbonation. Just an excellent imperial porter! Ska proves once again that they are one of the premier breweries in the US! Excellent job!
3.3Bottle from systembolagert, Sweden.
Smooth chocolate aroma with a small tuch of coffey.
Chrystgal malt sweetness blended with chocolate. A bit thinn b
3.2Bottle. Dark brown close to black with a medium sized light brown head. Nose is syrupy with some roasted malt. The flavour is surprisingly hoppy; herbal, honey with the malt more in the background giving notes of molasses, grain, dark dried fruit, toffee. Also some earth and wood in there. Medium/full body, oily texture, ok carbonation, medium sweet and bitter. Feels a bit syrupy and unrefined.
4.0Look: pours dark black. Slightly thin. Brown head.
Smell: slightly hoppy for a porter. Sweet candy sugar. Chocolate. Soy sauce.
Taste: chocolate. Slight coffee on the back. Sweet. Not really any coffee bitterness.
Feel: thin mouthfeel but just like a porter should be. Medium low carbonation.
Overall: very nice beer. Not overly malty.
First drank: home 4/13/15

3.7Draught. This is a nice big burly porter with a whole lot of hop wallop. Very nice.
4.203-APR-2015, bottle @home, from Kihoskh, brought by Morten.
Black with lasting tan head.
Roast, chocolate, malty fruit.
Creamy, full body, bitter from hops and roast. Very tastefull.
3.5Bottled. Pours deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and slightly bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A nice Porter indeed.
3.6On tap poured a clear brown hue w/ medium tan head fully dimmed and sticky lacing. Moderate roasty malt and sweet chocolate aromas. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are brown sugar, fig, chocolate, light roast coffee and graham cracker. Full bodied.
3.6Cellared for several years. Some chocolate but stronger flavors of dried fruit. Well done.
4.1roasty, black, hazy, minimal head, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium to full bodysticky, average carbonation, bitter, long finish,
3.5Small head with minor lacing. Aroma of chocolate, booze, and some vegetal and syrupy malt off-aromas, unfortunately. Flavor: better and more complex - chocolate, booze, vegetal off-flavor, smoke, licorice, cream. Good, but could have been better. Not my favorite impy porter, and I love this style.
3.7Bottle. Color deep brown with small brown head. Aroma, roasted, malt, chocolate, some hopp. Taste roasted, malt, liqourice, hoppy.
3.22015 bottle. Dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma is big umami with a bit of cat fish bait and chocolate malt. Taste is big malt and chocolate with a nice herbal hop bite. Very light semi dry mouthfeel.
3.3Dark cola color with khaki colored head on the surface. Smells of umami, tomato, caramel malt. Almost has an oak barrel smell even though it's not the barrel aged version. Taste is a roasty coffee, chocolate. Nothing like how it smells. Also has a tea, tannic quality with a little spicy charred hops at the end. Not bad overall, but I don't care for the smell.
3.8600cl bottle shared in a snifter. Pours dark brown almost black with very little head or carbonation. Aroma is subtle chocolate and coffee with the former being more apparent in the taste. Medium mouthfeel which is perfectly suited to the 8% ABV. Flavours are of dusted milk chocolate and raisin like dried fruits. Very little bitterness.
4.2Aroma algo inconsistente.
4.2Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This inky black beer pours without any sort of head. It has a very rich chocolate and cherry flavour followed by roasted coffee and more milk chocolate on the creamy tart red fruity finish.
